Disney's "Newsies: the Musical!" Production Team

Director
Ms. Colleen EganMs. Egan has served as the Assistant Director for the Plymouth South Theatre Guild since 2022. Ms. Egan found her home in the arts, singing in choir for 13 years and writing novels since kindergarten. Ms. Egan entered the theatre world in 2015, taking on roles as an actor, director, crew member, and playwright. A 2018 graduate of Plymouth South High School, she earned her BA in English and MFA in Creative Writing from Lasell University. Ms. Egan would like to congratulate the entire cast and crew of Newsies for their incredible performance!

Assistant Director
Annie HydeAnnie is honoured to be visiting PSHS from Bristol, England to assist in the direction of ‘Newsies’! Annie has been training in musical theatre since she was five, and since then has performed in countless productions, including an ‘Off West End Award’ nominated production at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her passion for musical theatre has never wavered, and in the fall she will start full time vocational training at Tisch School of the Arts in New York, with the ambition of, eventually, being on Broadway. Annie would like to thank Jason Luciana for his mentorship and guidance, Colleen Egan for her friendship, kindness and unfailing generosity, Riley Burke for helping Annie keep in high spirits through long rehearsals and every student in the cast and crew of ‘Newsies’ for making her feel so welcomed and appreciated since the start of the process. She will miss them all so much!

Stage Manager
Liv Turini, '26Liv is excited to be a part of her 5th production with the guild, and her first musical as your Stage Manager! When not in the theatre, she can be found student teaching at MSOD (Manomet School of Dance!). She would like to thank her friends for being the best supporters and encouraging her to do the things she loves. As well as a shoutout to the one and only Casper AKA “purple cat!”

Music Director
Mr. Jason LucianaMr. Luciana is grateful to be in his 22nd year as an arts educator; his 9th at Plymouth South High School. This production of "Newsies" marks the 35th musical he's been involved with, either on stage or back stage! Mr. Luciana is also the director of Plymouth South's mixed a cappella group, South Avenue, as well as a singer in Boston-area vocal band, Elevate. While not at school, he enjoys spending time at home with his wife cooking dinner, watching crime procedurals, or playing Skyrim with their two cats, Scout and Sophie. He'd like to thank Ms. Egan, Ms. Burke, Annie, and the entire company for being such an amazing team and for making him a better educator and artist!

Choreographer
Ms. Riley BurkeRiley is so excited to be choreographing her first show for the Plymouth South Theatre Guild! She is a Plymouth South alumni and participated in theater all four years of high school. She danced for eight years at Center Stage and is now at college studying to be a pilot. She’d like to thank everyone involved, especially her fellow directing team, for making this such an amazing and memorable experience!

Assistant Choreographer
Ashley Coveney, '26Ashley is a junior at Plymouth South High school and this is her 4th show with the theater guild. Along with theater, she also dances with her studio and loves to draw.

Sound Designer
Lily Menezes, '26Lily is so excited to be the sound designer for Plymouth South’s production of "Newsies", her 9th show as a part of the guild. When not at the sound board, you can find her hanging out with friends, working, or taking a nap. She’d like to thank all of her friends and directors for making theater a fun place to be, and she hopes you enjoy the show!!

Assistant Stage Manager
Norah Kelsey, '27Norah is excited to be a part of her second musical with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild! She is currently a sophomore and has been a part of five previous productions, her favourite of which was "The Play That Goes Wrong". When she isn't running around backstage, Norah can often be found reading a good book (or three). She would like to thank her Grandmother, Aunt Linda, and Mimi for taking her to see all sorts of productions, and her household family for always supporting her!
