Disney's "Newsies: the Musical!" Cast
Moira Ballinger, '28 (Les)Moira will be performing her first musical with the Plymouth South Theater Guild, but this is her 6th musical in total! Some of her favorite past roles have been The Scarecrow (Wizard of Oz) and an ensemble member in "Newsies Jr."! When not doing theater, she can be seen playing volleyball or doing all things art! She would like to thank her grandparents (Nana and Suppa) for donating all of their news papers! She loves their support and jokes. She would also like to thank the Assistant Director Annie for always making her laugh and being such a good role model and friend! She and the cast will miss her so much! She hopes that you all enjoy the show and the amazing people in and around it!
Brody Benedetti (Nunzio, Newsie)
Brody is thrilled to take the stage in Newsies! When not in rehearsal, they can be found supporting all PSHS clubs and sports teams. They’d like to say thank you to everyone for seeing the show. Go Panthers!
Molly Bird, '25 (Medda Larkin)Molly is thrilled to be in her final performance here at PSHS as a senior this year. She has been a part of theater since the sixth grade and can’t believe that it's coming to an end! She has been a part of (crew or cast) 12 productions. She loves music with her whole heart, as she is also the Assistant Music Director of South Avenue. When she isn’t devoting every waking moment to the VPA, she can be found listening to more music(shocking), crocheting, and hanging out with her friends. She would like to thank her Mom, brothers, and friends(you know who you are) for being her rock through her high school years. She is so grateful to be in this production of newsies with these wonderful people and can’t wait to be your Miss Medda Larkin!
Nora Carpenter, '28 (Specs)Nora is thrilled to be performing in her first musical in high school! The past musical Nora has been in was, "Willy Wonka" in fifth grade; she played Grandma Josephine. In her free time Nora likes to dance, play music, play basketball and run track as well as draw. Nora would like to thank her friend Nora L. for encouraging her and helping her through the musical when she felt new to it all even when she came in late due to sports. Hope you all enjoy the show!
Madigan Chubb, '25 (Finch)Mads is extremely grateful to be performing in her eighth production with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild! Some favorite past roles include The Lawyer (Tracks), Gayle (Almost, Maine), and Rayna Berry (Radium Girls). When not rehearsing, Mads can be found studying for her 6 APs, singing with South Avenue, or taking a (well deserved) nap. She'd like to thank her families, both at home and at work, for always being there and supporting her as she finishes out her senior year! She hopes you all enjoy the show!
Angelo Chumack, '25 (Snyder/Mr. Jacobi/Newsie)Angelo is grateful to be performing in Newsies for the Plymouth South Theatre Guild. Some favorite past roles include Eddie (Mamma Mia!), Brannigan (Guys and Dolls), and Lendall (Almost, Maine). When he isn’t acting, he spends his time playing video games and sketching. They’d like to thank their friend Leah for coming to see one of their performances and agree to join them in this years musical. He hopes you enjoy the show!
AJ Cohen, '26 (Newsie)AJ is excited to be part of her third production with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild! She’s had technical roles in previous productions, such as "Guys and Dolls" and "Almost, Maine", but this is her first time performing in a show. When she’s not rehearsing, AJ can be found caring for her plants or curled up with her sketchbook. She hopes you all enjoy the show!
Joseph Cunningham, '26 (Teddy Roosevelt)Joseph is a boy who loves history and found interest in the Newsies musical. This is his first role in any musical. He can be found learning history, eating, hanging with friends, or writing. He thanks everyone for supporting him and he hopes you enjoy the show!
Samantha Cunningham, '28 (Newsie)Samantha is grateful to be a part of this cast as it is her first time in a musical as a freshman! When she’s not at rehearsal, she’s either playing lacrosse, basketball, or field hockey. Sam can be found hanging out with friends or listening to music. She'd like to thank her parents for always being there for her and getting her to where she needs to be. She hopes you all enjoy the show!
Michael Joseph Coveney, '27 (Oscar Delancey)Michael is a very joyous fella, finally being able to perform in his first musical! Michael's only appeared in one other production here at Plymouth South, "Almost Maine". Off the stage, little Mikey can be found pumping iron, fiddling on the guitar, tickling the ivories, and playing the drums. He'd like to thank Bob Willis, George Noory, Marvin, and David Duca for helping him become the man he is to this day!
Norah Cunningham, '28 (Mush)Norah is extremely excited for her first MUSICAL production with Plymouth South! She is also excited to almost be ending her freshman year. Outside of rehearsal, Norah is a member of Plymouth South’s a cappella group, South Avenue!! She is also a C.I.T at Wind In the Pines girl scout camp. Norah has been doing theatre since 2015 and is very eager to continue throughout high school. She would LOVE to thank her little sister Catherine Louise Cunningham for a very great amount of constructive criticism and reminders to be humble. "THANK YOU CATHERINE".

Emma Daley, '26 (Hannah, Nun, Newsie)Emma is very excited for this production of "Newsies" as her third musical production at Plymouth South! When she isn’t on stage, chances are she’s petting her cats or reading. She would like to thank her family for being so supportive and proud of her through it all, as well as her friends for making this production so fun to be in.
Dillon DeFuria, '26 (Joseph Pulitzer)Dillon is very very excited to be part of our school's production of Newsies! Last year Dillon didn’t hear the end of how much "Guys and Dolls" was like Newsies from his best friend Kyle Farmer, But despite this Dillon is ready to deliver a show stealing performance as the leading antagonist, Joseph Pulitzer!
Cory Dodge, '25 (Jack Kelly)Cory is so thankful to have had 4 amazing years and be a part of 12 great shows with the South Theater Guild. He is sad to leave but so excited to move on to Bridgwater State University this coming fall to study music education. He'd like to thank all of the people who he’s acted alongside, those who he worked tech alongside, and the directorial team he has gotten to know over the years. He hopes you all thoroughly enjoy the show!
Brody Eberhardt, '26 (Wiesel, Stage Manager, Mayor)Brody is super excited to be in his 6th production at PSHS. Brody usually spends his time after school doing Theatre, South Ave, and CARE Club. He'd like to thank his Mom for being so amazing!
Kyle Farmer, '26 (Bunsen, Newsie)Kyle Farmer (Bunsen, Newsie) is really excited to be in his second Plymouth South Theatre Guild production! He loved his first production, in which he played Jimmy in the fall production of "Almost, Maine". When Kyle's not on stage, he's talking with his friends, who are also in the Guild, and having fun playing his role in Newsies. He also loves playing the drums for Gig Band, singing for South Ave, playing the bass drum in Marching Band, and so much more. He'd like to thank Cory and Dillon for getting him involved with the Guild!
Ana Ferreira, '25 (Katherine Plumber)Ana is so grateful to be performing her 4th and final musical production with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild. Prior to Newsies, She played the part of Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Marcy in Almost Maine, Sophie Sheridan in Mamma Mia, and Mona Lipschitz in Chicago. When not rehearsing for the musical, Ana can be found working at Skin Esteem Med Spa as an aesthetic coordinator and certified medical assistant, as well as a host and food runner at Cabby Shack, and rehearsing with Plymouth South's A Capella group South Avenue. Ana will be attending University of Massachusetts: Dartmouth next year for Biology with a pre-med track. She would like to thank God, her parents, and her friends for supporting her and her passion for Musical Theatre. She would also like to give special thanks to the Newsies Company, Ms.Egan, Ms. Hyde, and Mr. Luciana for making her senior year memorable. She hopes you all enjoy the show!
Daylen Fey, '27 (Newsie/Dance Captain)Daylen is super excited to be taking her dancing on stage with Plymouth South Theater Guild! She is very happy to combine both her favorite activities, singing and dancing. Daylen has been in many productions, and some of her favorite roles are Annie (Annie), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), and a Hot Box Dancer (Guys and Dolls). When not working with Plymouth South Theater Guild, Daylen dances varsity during fall and winter seasons for the Plymouth South Dance Team. She also dances at her studio Manomet School Of Dance all year round. Daylen also competes for Plymouth South Spring Track as a long jumper and sprinter. She'd like to thank her family for being her inspiration to her love for singing and dancing. She would have never gotten into theater and musicals if it was not for them!
Georgia Gausman, '26 (Davey)Georgia Gausman (Davey) is excited to be making her debut on stage with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild. Georgia is finishing up her junior year and is anticipating the summertime heavily. When she isn't on stage, Georgia can be found hanging out with her friends and family, playing piano, and listening to music. She’d like to thank her family for being so supportive and all of the people that have helped her get here today!
Stella Gizzi, '26 (Tommy Boy, Spot Conlon)Stella is excited to be performing her fifth high school production with Plymouth South Theater Guild! When she isn't on stage, Stella can be found playing ice hockey and field hockey, singing a cappella with South Ave, and taking photos for teams and programs around the school! Arrow Himelrick, '26 (Nun, Newsie)Arrow is extremely excited to be in this production of Newsies and third production with Plymouth South Theatre Guild. Arrow loves to sing, and enjoys reading and playing video games in their free time. They would like to thank friends and family for helping and supporting them through this entire process.
Hannah Horigan, '27 (Bowery Beauty, Scab)Hannah is excited to be performing in Newsies for her second show her with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild. When she is not on stage you can find her most likely running on the track or with her friends as she is a member of the track team. Layne Lalosh, '28 (Buttons)Layne is incredibly grateful to be performing in her second production with the Plymouth South Theater Guild. A past role she has played has been Eunice Foote (Miracle Year). When not practicing her choreography or running her lines , Layne can be found drawing or painting. Camden Latham, '27 (Morris Delancey)Camden is excited to be making his debut with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild! Cam is a sophomore and an active member of student council, Tri-M, and the World Language Honor Society. He is a three sport varsity athlete, playing Football, Ice Hockey and Track & Field. When he's not on stage or playing a sport, he enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing guitar and other instruments, playing video games and listening to the Beatles. He'd like to thank his mother for giving him life and doing everything for him (including writing this) and his father, brother, grandparents and other family and friends for their love and support!
Ruby Lemon, '28 (Elmer)Ruby has had a great time working in her first Plymouth South High School musical, though, this is not her first show with Plymouth South High School. She was in "Almost, Maine" (Easton) and "The Miracle Year" (Rosalind Franklin). She also performed in musicals in middle school, and her favorite role was The Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz". When Ruby isn’t on stage, she enjoys playing volleyball for the school, or hanging out with her friends. She’d like to thank her family for being so supportive, and the rest of the cast and crew for such a fun production!
Leah Lindsey, '26 (Albert)Leah is so excited to be performing in "Newsies"!! She is a junior, and this will be her 8th musical overall and her 3rd show here at PSHS. One of her favorite shows that she has done is "Mamma Mia", and her favorite musicals that she has seen on broadway are "Hamilton" and "Hadestown". She also participates in Gig Band and Marching Band. She enjoys reading books. Leah would like to thank her mom, who she looks up to so much and is proud of everything she does for her family. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!!
Nora Lindsay, '28 (Crutchie)Nora Lindsey (Crutchie) is very exited to be in this production. She is a freshman at PSHS. This is the 6th musical she’s been in. She’s played the butler in Annie, Hazel in Newsies (yes, she has already been in a production of Newsies), Bruce in Matilda, the Principal in Mean girls, and Maurice in Beauty and the Beast. Outside of drama she loves to dance and hangout with friends. This is Nora’s 8th year dancing at Center Stage Dance Academy. She’d like to thank her mom for always supporting her and driving her back and forth everywhere. She’d hopes you all enjoy the show!
Isabella Lotter, '26 (Newsie)Isabella is excited to be performing in her third production with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild! One of her favorite roles includes being a tourist in "Mamma Mia"! When she isn’t isn’t on stage, Isabella can be found laughing with her friends or having her nose in a book or listening to music. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support and her cat, Pearl.
Caileigh Marsh, '26 (Newsie)Caileigh is thrilled to finally be a part of the show! She has always loved performing but has never participated in the musical before. She's been balancing theatre, track & field, and student council this year and has been having a blast doing so! She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity and hopes you enjoy the show!
Lea Maynard, '26 (Newsie)Lea is a junior at Plymouth South High School and is excited to be a part of Newsies. She has been in 3 musical productions at south including: Mamma Mia, Guys and Dolls, and now, Newsies. Outside of theatre, she can be found reading and writing novels at home, and working as a barista at Starbucks. She would like to thank her friends and family for being supportive, and she hopes you all enjoy the show!
Evan McManus, '25 (Seitz)Evan is a senior at Plymouth South, and has been acting in the school's theatre guild since his sophomore year. After being in "Mamma Mia", "The Play That Goes Wrong", "Guys and Dolls" and "Almost, Maine", he's excited to be performing alongside his friends again!
Jasper Moniga, '26 (Darcy, Newsie)Jasper is partaking in his 8th production with the PSHS Theatre Guild, but this is second time acting in High School! He is a junior and has found his place in the past two years at the sound board learning design and how to balance microphones to make the actors sound their best. When he is not at theatre he is often found at work or playing games with friends. He’d like to thank his friends for all the support they bring him and for breaking him out of his shell to actually audition, making this show the best experience possible!
Leah Nogueira, '28 (JoJo)Leah is a freshman at Plymouth South High School and is very excited to be a part of "Newsies" and - hopefully - many more to come throughout high school! When Leah isn’t in rehearsal, she can be found in her bed all cozy with a book, watching a show on her phone, playing her guitar or piano, or hanging out with her friends! Leah would like to thank her amazing friends Jack and Chloe for always being so supportive to her and being there whenever she needs someone to pick her back on her feet. She would also like to thank her mom for not giving up on her and always believing in her and being her #1 cheerleader! She would also like to thank her cat, Misty, who grew up with her and had been her best friend ever since she came home in a baby carriage. Rest in peace Misty. Logan Ryan, '26 (Newsie)Logan is excited to be a part of his first EVER musical!. He's been in two non-musical productions, playing Daniel Harding in "Almost, Maine", and Young Albert in "The Miracle Year". Whenever he's not at rehearsal, Logan's either at work, taking photos for his Instagram, or at home eating two whole bags of popcorn because he has free will. Logan thanks his family in supporting his random theater obsession and to his lovely girlfriend who in fact is in the production with him!

Rory Timlin, '25 (Newsie, Dance Corps.)Rory is excited to be performing on stage with the Plymouth South Theatre Guild! She's finishing up her senior year and plans on attending college in the fall to pursue a degree in Film and Media. Natalia Tsourides, '26 (Race)Natalia is super excited to be back on stage for the third time at Plymouth South! Previously, she appeared in the dance corps for both "Mamma Mia" and "Guys and Dolls". Outside of theatre, Natalia is a member of South Avenue A Cappella, Volleyball, Winter Dance Team, and Tennis as well. She wants to thank the cast, crew, and directors for an amazing show!
