Joan (Rebecca Kiser)
Rebecca Kiser is an actor and singer based in the Washington, DC area and is making her debut with Pipeline Playwrights! Previous works include: "White Pearl" at Studio Theater, "The Ballad of Mu Lan" at Imagination Stage, "Man of God" at Strand Theater Company, "Body" at Capital Fringe Festival, and "The Full Monty" at Workhouse Arts Center. She also has narrated two audiobooks coming out within the next year, "The Way" and "To Be Called Ethereal" with Benztown Radio. Beth/Erin (Lenny Mendez)
My name is Lenny Mendez (she/her/ella) I am a Latina actress from the Washington DC area. I earned my BFA in acting and directing from George Mason University and just finished my training at Circle in the Square Theatre School on the professional acting workshop course. Precious roles include Queen Titania in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” chorus leader in “Lysistrata” and Blanche in “A Streetcar Named Desire.”
Janet (Sally Imbriano)
Sally Imbriano is a storyteller, writer and vocal coach based in the DMV. Next up: Patsy in “Always…Patsy Cline” (Creative Cauldron). Previously seen in: “Lucky Stiff,” “Matilda” (Nextstop Theatre Company); “Winterfest,” “Winnie the Pooh,” “Alexander and the Terrible…Very Bad Day"(Adventure Theatre MTC); “Paper Dreams"(Imagination Stage). She’s written and performed solo shows and cabarets with Creative Cauldron and La Ti Do. She’s currently writing Music/Lyrics for “Willow’s Bend” playing at Adventure in their 2023-24 Season. Josh (David Johnson)
David Johnson makes his Pipeline Playwrights debut with “Heartland.” Area credits include: “The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui,” “The Pinter Rep,” “Submission,” “Julius Caesar” (Scena Theatre); “The Second Shepherd's Play” (Frederick Classical Ensemble); “Boeing, Boeing” (Highwood Theatre); “A Midsummer Night's Dream” (Annapolis Shakespeare Company); “The Pelican” (Arcturus Theatre); “Lettice and Lovage” (Quotidian Theatre); “In Love and Warcraft” (No Rules Theatre). David is a Lessac Voice and Body Practitioner as well as a Certified Vocal Yoga Trainer. During the day, he is a special education teacher for Prince William County Public Schools. He holds a BFA in Theatre and an M. Ed. in Special Education from George Mason University.
Richard (Eamon Patrick Walsh)
Prior to Pipeline Playwrights, Walsh performed with Rorschach Theatre, Capital Fringe, Scena Theatre and as an understudy with Constellation Theatre. He studied theater at the Studio Acting Conservatory in Washington, DC. Finishing the 3-year core acting curriculum in 2019, Walsh continued study in Irish playwrights, directing, voice and regional dialects. In film, he worked with ESPN/Dodge Ram for a national commercial and performed in various short films in the DC area. He's excited to be returning to live theater after our collective time away and eager to continue performing in the years to come.
Laverne (Nicole Ruthmarie)
Nicole Ruthmarie (she/her) is ecstatic to make her Pipeline Playwrights debut! As a DMV-based Theatre Creative, she has worked in the area in shows like “Oleanna” with Perisphere Theater, “Can't Complain” with Spooky Action Theater, “A Midsummer Night's Dream” with Nextstop Theatre Company, and “The Trojan Women Project” with Brave Spirits Theatre that also garnered her a Helen Hayes Award nomination as Supporting Actress in a Play and Best Ensemble. She was also a company member of Brave Spirits Theatre in their “Shakespeare Histories Rep.” Black, Indigenous, Brown, Trans, and Nonbinary lives matter! Fight fascists! IG @yourruthmarie
