The Yellow Boat Cast

Samantha Mirdo is an up-and-coming actress originally from Oklahoma, now based in New Mexico, who brings creativity and heart to the stage. A student at PVHS, Samantha has already built a diverse resume of roles that showcase her versatility and dedication to her craft. Samantha’s experience includes playing Nemo in Finding Nemo Jr. at PVHS, and she has taken on ensemble roles in Giants in the Sky and The Wizard of Oz. She’s also been featured in The Claw as The Claw, Trip to the Moon as Jack and Paul, Rock of Ages as the Pre-Show Announcer and in the ensemble, Spooky Cabaret as Seymour, and 5 Minute Spotlight as Jiro. Currently, she is excited to be performing as Benjamin in The Yellow Boat, a role that highlights her passion for bringing emotional depth to challenging stories. Beyond her performances, Samantha is passionate about costume making, art, and design, which she uses to enhance her roles and add unique flair to each project. She’s also preparing for state competitions and is eager to continue growing as an actress."

Darian Is very excited to be apart of our state show The Yellow boat, and is very exited to perform this story on the stage. Darian was last seen in Heather McGaughey Teen Voices' production of Rock of Ages and Four Corners Musical Theatre Company production of The Wizard Of Oz at Farmington Civic Center. Darian loves supporting her theater, by volunteering to help at many different events. Although she has only been apart of our theater troupe for 3 years, she found a passion for performing for others.

Carson Jobe is a junior at Piedra Vista High School (PVHS) with a growing passion for theater, both on stage and behind the scenes. He has performed in several school productions, such as Weird Beard in Pirates! Theodore Thud and the Quest for Weird Beard. Carson also showcased his technical skills by running sound for PVHS's production of Nemo. Expanding his experience beyond school, he worked with Theater Ensemble Arts (TEA), where he took on the role of Pete in Almost, Maine. Carson is dedicated to honing his craft, whether acting or working behind the curtain, and looks forward to future performances and hopes everyone enjoys tonight's performance.

Kaytlyn Young is a highschool sophomore and is so excited to participate in the production of The Yellow Boat at Piedra Vista highschool. She was last seen in Rock of Ages Teen Edition at the Farmington Civic Center where she played Justice Charlier. She would like to thank Tyler Gleason for his support. He taught kaytlyn everything she knows about theater and pushed her to continue down a path of preforming arts.

Dylan is very excited to be a part of The Yellow Boat at Piedra Vista High School. Recently Dylan was seen in A Trip to the Moon and at Weiss High School in their production of Footloose. You can also see Dylan in Goodbye For Now at San Juan College directed by Maggie Clark. He wants to thank his family and friends for always supporting the things he has wanted to do.

Peter Mayeux is excited to be participating in the production of PV's state show "The Yellow Boat" as Doctor 1! Peter is a senior and participated in the state show "Dirt" last year as "Lloyd Alvis", along with the production of "Finding Nemo Jr." in which he was Marlin. He has also done various shows outside of educational productions with Four Corners Musical Theatre Company, such as "Into the Woods", "The Music Man" and others in which he was ensemble, and "The Wizard of Oz" in which he was the Mayor of Munchkin City. He would like to thank his friends and family for always being so supportive and all his mentors for helping him grow over the years!

Grace is beyond excited to be given the chance to play yet another medical professional in “The Yellow Boat”. When she was younger she helped take care of her paralyzed grandfather so getting the chance to bring her younger self into her acting means the world to her. Due to the character not being given a name Grace chose her character’s name to give her more life, she chose Doctor Katarina Ahlgren after her favorite literary character and her grandfather. Grace was last seen in Finding Nemo Jr. as Bruce The Shark whilst being in a neck brace. Grace serves as troupe 5954’s Vice President as well as a State Thespian Officer.

Lily is quite excited to be a part of The Yellow Boat at the Turano Chrisman Performing Arts Theatre. She is the PVHS Drama Club’s social media manager, and was recently seen in Finding Nemo Jr. as Gill, and Theatre of Terror as Elphaba. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, writing, and even animating when she isn’t busy with a production. Lily would like to thank her peers for being so welcoming and working together to make this production the best that it can be, and would also like to thank her family for their support with each show that she participates in.

is a junior in high school at PVHS. Meadow has a big passion for theater and enjoys it. Meadow recently did a musical show called finding Nemo jr. and was squirt the turtle and other background characters. Meadow was also in a trip to the moon playing as Jeff. What meadow does is in her free time is paint, draw, and play video games. Meadow would like to thank her mom and dad for pushing her.

Olivia is an inspiring actress who is very excited to be a member of the Yellow Boat cast. One of her biggest roles was Tad in Finding Nemo Jr. Her love for theater and acting has always been apparent, jumping on any chance she can to be able to perform for others. She is very thankful for all the opportunities she has been given through the Piedra Vista High School theater program.

Abbie Allen is a newcomer to PV, but not to the performing arts. Before her time here, she was president of the theater department at Farmington High School and had many exhilarating roles such as Sandy in "Grease", Alice in "Alice in Wonderland", and Ms. Scarlet in "Clue". She is ecstatic to continue her senior year as a panther in "The Yellow Boat" as Chorus Member 5. She also works in technical theatre for Four Corners Musical Theatre Company and is delighted to be stage managing the upcoming Charlie Brown Christmas. She would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her aspirations!

Rylie is very excited to be in Piedra Vista high school's production of David Saars The Yellow Boat Teen Addition. She is a 10th grader at PVHS. Rylie was last seen in Piedra Vista’s Spooky Cabray for the musical theatre class. When not in school, Rylie likes to play video games, watch movies / shows with her family, to draw, and to be a content creator on Youtube.

Isabella Burnham is excited to be the understudy for Doctor 4 and is also excited to be costume assistant in Yellow Boat. Isabella was last seen in Finding Nemo Jr. Isabella is so excited to go to her first state show.

Allyson is excited to be a part of The Yellow Boat. Allyson is a senior at PVHS and loves acting. When she is not acting in our theater she enjoys spending time with her family and creating all sorts of art. Allyson would like to thank her support system consisting of her sisters, parents, and other family members.
