Paulina Staab is an actor/director/singer who studied theatre at the University of Idaho. She is so excited to be directing her first musical at the Pend Oreille Playhouse and is thrilled to share this beautiful story with you! Paulina, the new Youth Educational Director at the Playhouse, loves working with the youth of this community and is so proud of the growth within the program. She wants to thank her family for being so supportive, her Playhouse colleagues for taking a chance on her, and you, the audience, for supporting the performing arts! Theatre is alive and well at the Pend Oreille Playhouse!

John Connelly has been a member of the Pend Oreille Players since August of 2022. In that time he has gone from a simple cast member of a radio reader to a full time board member, actor, and co-director of Matilda. John has been acting as Technical Director for productions since Nunsense and is completely thrilled to be working with such an amazing cast of kids and adults. John loves this little theater and there isn’t much he isn’t willing to do to make it a success. He looks forward to many more productions in the future and will continue to support the playhouse as needed.

She is a retired Band teacher, having spent 35 years in Virginia, Idaho, & Washington schools. This is her first play outside of the orchestra pit. She enjoys crafting, gardening, and helping Paulina meet her goals in shaping the Playhouse for its future.

I am so excited to be able to help out with choreography for Matilda. Having done kids dance in the past as well as several shows with the playhouse (as an actor, choreographer, and director for some one act plays), it's been a blast to combine these skills and I'm so greatful for the opportunity to work with such a fun and talented group of kids! Some of my favorite shows that I've done with the Pend Orielle Playhouse are Nunsense, Jake's Place, Something's Afoot (choreographer) and Elementary Christmas, my very first show with the playhouse.
