Brenyn Longly (Matilda Wormwood)
Brenyn Longly is just ten years old but from a very young age she has expressed her passion for performing arts of all kinds, including: ballet, singing for the worship team, several school skits, and of course, theater. Brenyn was born with a dramatic flair and, it seems, with a knack for British accents. Brenyn has acted in several plays over the years through school and church. Prior to being cast as Matilda, Brenyn landed a leading role as Veruca Salt in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory in 2023 and realized how much she loved rocking the stage. In her free time Brenyn loves cats, making jewelry, playing with friends, reading, and sketching. Brenyn has a big heart and an even bigger imagination, she is so excited to bring you the Matilda everyone has been waiting for.
Terri Tomlinson (Miss Agatha Trunchbull)
Terri Tomlinson is an actor, director, and writer who specializes in research and performance of the works of Gerard Manley Hopkins. In addition to theater, Terri enjoys cooking for her friends and family and loves being a grandma. Previous favorite roles include Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown, as well as Tamora in Titus Andronicus. Terri is grateful for the warm welcome she has received at the Pend Oreille Playhouse, and she hopes you all enjoy the show!
Jenni Broz (Miss Honey)
I am currently a teacher in Newport School District. I grew up participating in choir and musical theater in Spokane, WA. Though my acting started small, I found a love of Broadway. I participated in Cinderella and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as a child as well as helping with sets for Little Mermaid. In high school, I participated in One Act plays and Doll Shop as well as being part of two state competitive choirs at North Central High School. I am so excited to be back in the theater after 14 years, and am loving every minute embracing the stage and learning to find my voice again.
Kaileb Monk (Mr. Wormwood)
Kaileb started community performing arts around 3rd grade, where he had his first lead role in a Christmas play. By his Senior year, he had been in lead and supporting roles in dozens of POPA productions, such as; Fiddler on the Roof, The Music Man Jr, and Iolanthe. In 2012, Kaileb graduated from Eastern Washington University majoring in History, also commissioning as an Officer into the Army Reserve. After nearly a decade of living in Spokane and Post Falls, in 2017, he moved back to his hometown of Newport and began pursuing a career as an electrician. In 2023, Kaileb was tricked by his [devious] cousin, Emily, into playing two roles in the POPA One-Act-Play festival last Fall. After 16 years away from theater, Kaileb found he still had the knack for it. Kaileb lives in Newport with his wife, Caroline and three kids. When he’s not acting, Kaileb tries hard to not get electrocuted, but more than that he enjoys gaming, motorcycling, and especially camping and kayaking with his family.
Amy Dawson (Mrs. Wormwood)
Amy Dawson is excited to be performing on the Playhouse stage again, after having a great time co-directing youth plays. You may have also seen her onstage as Alice in “The Addams Family” or Sister Mary Amnesia in “Nunsense” at POPA, Katie Nana in Mary Poppins at Spokane Civic Theatre, or Lucy in Stage Left’s “Threepenny Opera”. When not on stage, she runs her manicuring business, Puppagis Nails, in Spokane and hangs out with her adorable, but spicy dog, Figsley. She would like to thank all her family and friends for supporting her love of performing.
Matthew Williams (Michael Wormwood/Children's Entertainer)
14 year old Matthew, is excited to be playing Michael Wormwood. This is his 3rd show he has done at the playhouse. His favorite part in a show has been playing Pete Maxwell in Witches Brew. When not on stage, he enjoys spending time with his family, making videos with his friends, playing basketball and watching YouTube. He wants everyone to know that the best part of performing at the playhouse is making others laugh. He would like thank his parents for being so supportive. He wanted to do this play because it was his sister's favorite movie growing up.
Charlene Stigall (Mrs. Phelps)
I have studied classical voice with the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint for 14 years where I was in multiple programs every year as well as the intern for the children’s choir. I was also given the opportunity to intern for the forgiven exchange music program that the Music Conservatory started with a Ceart in Mexico. I also was in the applied music/opera program at Santa Monica College, where I studied for 4 semesters. After a 6 year break to start my family, I am excited to be given the opportunity to perform again alongside side this amazing cast and crew.
Spencer Warren (Bruce)
Hi my name is Spencer Warren and I am 12 years old. I’m currently a 6th grader and I’m great at math. I play football. I also wrestle and play golf. I love theater and have been in a couple of productions. I played Baby Bear in the Three Bears. I was also in Princess Poppi.
Natalie Staab (Lavender)
Natalie Staab is so happy to have you at the Playhouse! Natalie's first performance with the Pend Oreille Players was in Red vs the Wolf in 2023 and she made her debut in the One Act Play Festival the same year. Being in Matilda, the Musical has been her favorite experience. She would like to thank her family for everything they do for her!
Justin Clark (The Escapologist/Henchman)
Justin Phillip Clark is a professional actor and comedian who studies Filming and Technology. He’s been acting for several years through films, plays, and through his career via YouTube @Shooteo with around 600M views. He loves to share his passion for acting and comedy to the world whenever he can. After studying Software Engineering, Business, and Filming/Technology, in college, Justin is ready for any opportunity that strikes him. He has recently been accepted into AMDA (American Music and Dramatic Academy: College of Performing Arts) and will be going for his Bachelor’s Degree in Acting. He’s represented by Seattle Talent Agency.
Anna Jones (Doctor)
Anna Jones is incredibly excited to be in this production of Matilda! They have done theater since elementary school, and some of their favorite roles include Sister Mary Leo in Nunsnese, various characters in A Christmas Carol, and Daisy in Jake’s Place. Anna would like to thank their amazing family and friends who have supported them through all theatrical endeavors.
Bella Huffman-Filtzer (The Acrobat)
I am a young lady from the beaches of Maui where sun dresses and bathing suits were what I was used too. Now, I am out here enjoying every moment . I have performed in Red vs the Wolf, What Happened After Once Upon at Time, A Day in the Life of a Bear and lots more. Keep your eyes out for me because I plan on being a star.

Josie Bento (Amanda)
I am 10 years old and in the 4th grade at Stratton Elementary. I am a Girl Scout, I love to sing, and am learning how to play the ukulele. My hobbies include researching different dog breads, playing with my friends, making jewelry and art. My first play was in 2022 with the Missoula Childrens Theater in The Little Mermaid. I also played the artist in Where in the World is Princess Poppy in the summer of 2023. I am so excited to be playing the role of Amanda in Matilda the Musical!
Robert Balow (Sergei)
POPA turned me loose on their stage about 5 years ago. Since then, I've collected a lifetime's worth of fun memories, great characters, good people, and fun times.
Dawkin Stigall (Nigel)
I am a 12 year old who attends Sadie Halstead Middle School. My favorite sports are soccer, and wrestling. I was a manger for the middle school wrestling team this year. This is my first musical, and I am excited to get have this experience.
Sophia Anderson (Alice)
Sophia Anderson is in 9th grade and 14 years old. She is so excited that you decided to come to the playhouse! Sophia Anderson has been in theater since she was eight years old. She has been in the following plays: the Stinky feet gang, the Quest, Fairy tale with attitude, and Hamlet. She has also been a pianist since fifth grade, and is now playing the keys on stage at church and has picked up a few gigs on the way.
John Connelly (Henchman)
John Connelly has been a member of the Pend Oreille Players since August of 2022. In that time he has gone from a simple cast member of a radio reader to a full time board member, actor, and co-director of Matilda. John has been acting as Technical Director for productions since Nunsense and is completely thrilled to be working with such an amazing cast of kids and adults. John loves this little theater and there isn’t much he isn’t willing to do to make it a success. He looks forward to many more productions in the future and will continue to support the playhouse as needed.
Emma Verity (Hortensia)
Emma has enjoyed participating in a number of productions at the Pend Oreille Playhouse, including Little Mermaid (with Missoula Children's Theatre), Red vs. Wolf, A Day in the Life of a Bear, the Christmas Walkthrough, and as a member of the stage crew on Christmas Belles. Emma enjoys acting more with each production she is a part of. She is in the Newport 7-12 grade choir, 7-8 grade band, part of the 2011 girls’ soccer team in Sandpoint, and is a great student at school. She appreciates the support from her family and friends and hopes to be part of many more productions here at the playhouse.
Aurora Abraham (Tommy)
Aurora Rose Abraham is playing Tommy and her previous roles include; Scrollmaster from Where in the World is Princess Poppy & Veterans Day chorus performance. She enjoys snowboarding, singing Taylor Swift on her karaoke machine, and playing sports.
Joy Hendrickson (Eric/Ensemble)
Joy is very excited to be a part of Matilda at the Pend Oreille Playhouse. She will play the part of Eric as well as being part of the ensemble. She was last seen as Mom in Witches Brew (Pend Oreille Playhouse), previous performances include Papa Bear in A Day in the Life of a Bear (Pend Oreille Playhouse), Knight in Where in the World is Princess Poppy (Pend Oreille Playhouse), and Rick Key in Sailing the Shrektacular Seas (Riverside ISP). Joy is a Sophomore at Riverside Independent Scholar Program. For fun Joy is an avid Pokemon card collector, Artist, Swimmer, and first time hunter. Joy would like to extend special thanks to her family for all of their love and support and her two dogs, QD and Stella for the never ending slobbery kisses.
Oakley Wynn (Cook)
Oakley is a very dedicated and detail-oreinted 3rd grader who has had the pleasure of working with the cast and crew on this show. She is also very excited to play the part of the cook and bring out a wonderful magnificent chocolaty cake. Oakley has been a part of two other shows at the Pend Oreille Playhouse, Where in the World is Princess Poppy (“Tech/Backstage” – Summer 2023) and The Little Mermaid (“Seahorse” – Summer 2022). When she is not in school or on stage she enjoys drawing and singing. Her absolute FAVORITE animal is a PANDA BEAR. She wants to thank Paulina for believing in her and letting her keep everything (and everyone) in order backstage.
Zaylah Wynn (Ensemble)
Zaylah is very excited to be part of Matilda at the Pend Oreille Playhouse. She is in 2nd grade and brings with her to the stage a whole bunch of fun energy and personality. In the summer of 2023, Zaylah played a dressmaker in Where in the World is Princess Poppy (POPA) and in the summer of 2022 she played a seahorse in The Little Mermaid (POPA/Missoula Children’s Theater). When Zaylah isn’t on stage, she enjoys making other people laugh, singing or creating imaginative worlds in Minecraft while singing. Every dwelling she makes on Minecraft is sure to have at least one room filled with chickens. She would like to thank the Pend Oreille Playhouse as well as the cast and crew of the show for their friendship.
Zariah Wynn (Ensemble)
Zariah is so excited to be back on stage at the Pend Oreille Playhouse in the little kid ensemble for this performance of Matilda. She is a 2nd grader that brings enough energy to the stage for the entire cast. Zariah has been on stage at the Pend Oreille Playhouse for two other shows previously. She was a dressmaker in Where in the World is Princess Poppy (Summer 2023) and a seahorse in The Little Mermaid (Summer 2022). You can find Zariah on the go when she is not on stage. She aspires to start training for and be on Ninja Warrior one day. Zariah would like to thank all the organizers of the show for putting this awesome opportunity together for her. She hasn’t stopped playing the music in her off time and loves this show.
Kalleelah Davis (Ensemble)
My name is Kalleelah Davis and I’m 14 years old. I have been in 4 plays this is my 5. I was just recently in Witches Brew, the first play I was in was the Little Mermaid, I was a stagehand in Red vs Wolf, and the Queen in Where in the World is Princess Poppy. I am a homeschooler. I’m into sports such as soccer and track. I enjoy video games, books, and swimming. The thing I enjoy most about being in plays is the way you become someone else and forget the troubles of the real world.
Kate Stutzman (Ensemble)
Kate is thrilled to make her acting debut in the Pend Oreille Playhouse Association Matilda the Musical. She is a homeschooled second grade student with a passion for reading. Kate also enjoys participating in cheer and track. She would like to thank her family for all their love and support.
Brooklin Lambright (Ensemble)
Brooklin is happy to be returning to Pend Oreille Players for Matilda the Musical as Matilda is one of her favorite movies. This is Brooklins 3rd play she was previously a seahorse in The Little Mermaid by Missoula Children's Theater, a butterfly in Red vs The Wolf and an Elf in the Holiday walk through. Brooklin likes singing and wants to work at an animal rescue when she grows up. Brooklin would like to thank her mom and grandma for taking her to rehearsals and all the people at Pend Oreille Players Association who give them this wonderful opportunity. She hopes you enjoy the show and wants to thank you for coming and supporting her.
