About The Crucible
The year is 2121 in Salem, Massachusetts. Salem and its surrounding provinces are now being ruled by their youngest generation after a violent revolution that wiped out anyone over the age of 25. With children ruling the land, the decision to revert back to Puritanism seems to be the best way to fix the nation. But did this war-on-age service Salem or is there still a political divide in the people who are left? This new spin on an old classic will send you head first into a steampunk dystopia filled with power struggles, deception, and of course.. a little black magic.

About The Department
The Overbrook High School Theatre Department is dedicated to fostering an appreciation and interest in the theatre for its participants and to use performance art as a means of unifying the high school, district, and community. We will accomplish this mission through the combination of education and performance.
The department is headed by Miss Maria Panvini, teacher of theatre 9th-12th and director of drama. The mainstage productions are assistant directed by Miss Stephanie Evans, teacher of English and Special Education.
