Jake's Women Cast

Keith Martin  (Jake)
Keith Martin started performing with Ole Olsen 13 years ago. His favorite parts were Zig in ‘Bleacher Bums’, Milt Manville in ‘Luv’, and Charlie Cowell in ‘Music Man’ in Wabash. He’s looking forward to seeing his character interact with the 7 women in the show. He said with such a great cast and crew, he feels like he’ll have all the help he needs in this giant part. Keith works at Walmart in Wabash and does sports broadcasting on KISS-FM 95.9. He loves watching Purdue basketball and Chicago Cubs baseball. Keith thanks his wife, Linda, for all her support. He also thanks Debby for having the confidence in him to be the best Jake he can be.
Kelly Makin (Maggie)
Kelly Makin is a member of the Ole Olsen Hall of Fame having been with this group for 33 years. She’s written and directed five different plays. One of her favorites is ‘Ole’s Showstoppin’ Nutcrackin’ Crazy Christmas’ playing an angel. She loved playing Robert Anne in ‘Nunsense’, and Doris in ‘Same Time, Next Year.’ Kelly hasn’t been onstage for several years and is looking forward to reprising her role as Maggie that she played in this show 17 years ago. She loves singing in her church choir worship team. She also spends lots of time with her youngest grandson, Dax. She is grateful to her husband, Dave for being fantastically supportive helping with set.
Twanna Jiles (Edith)
Twanna Jiles has been a staple on our stage for 17 years now! Her favorite parts were in ‘An Evening with Ole’ where she placed a receptionist in a dental office, ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ as Nurse Dean, and ‘Of Mice and Men’ as Crooks. Twanna is hoping the audience enjoys concept of this show and the charades as the cast transforms themselves into these characters. She attends IUK and is in the Master’s program for Criminal Justice. Twanna spends time with her grandkids, and traveling with Myke. She wants to that Curiel, Demetric, Martell, Mike and her family for their constant support of her acting career!
Makenna Johnson (Julie)
Makenna Johnson may be only 17, but she’s performed in 13 Ole productions already, starting at age 7. Her favorites include Lucy in ‘The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,’ the elf in ‘Ole’s Nutcrakin’ Crazy Christmas,’ Maka in ‘Prehistoric Cole’, and Gloria in ‘Wait Until Dark.’ She says she doesn’t have much spare time, but has loved being a part of Maconaquah Marching Braves. First playing flute, and then spending the last two years as drum major. Of course, theater is one of her favorite things to do too. Makenna works at Family Farm & Home and spends time with friends. She’s a senior this year preparing to attend Ball State University next fall majoring in Elementary Education. Her favorite part of the show is working with the actors, her good friend Auren (playing Molly), and her Nana, director Debby Myers. Makenna thanks her parents for supporting her in all she does.
Gloria Gentry (Sheila)
Gloria Gentry has been performing with us for the last six years. Her favorite rolls have been in ‘The Ballad of Granny Siler’, ‘The Wedding Singer’, and as Marmee in ‘Little Women’. Gloria started with Ole as a stage manager for ‘Five Women Wearing the Same Dress’ back in 2017. Her real love is acting, and Gloria feels like she’s grown with each part and is looking forward to portraying Sheila, Jake’s mistress. She is employed at Kroger in the bakery. In her spare time, she likes to spend it with family and friends. Gloria just got married on November 4th here at the depot, so she’s a newlywed. She’d like to thank her new husband, Brian Gentry, for his love and support for her love of acting!
Auren Klimes (Molly at 21)
Auren Klimes is performing for the first time on the Ole stage. She is looking forward to seeing what it’s like to be an actress. Previously she’s only worked backstage for MHS. Auren also wants to meet new people. Her attention has been playing with the Maconaquah Marching Braves Band and working at Burger King. Auren is thankful to Makenna Johnson (Julie) for encouraging her to get involved. and to directors Debby & Doug for giving her this opportunity to be a performer.
Trinity Putt (Molly at 12)
Trinity Putt is performing for the first time for Ole, but it’s not her first time on stage. She just came from Curtain Call in Kokomo where she played a monster in ‘Spongebob.’ She also performed at Peru High School as Misely in ‘Crabcakes and Murder.’ At age 10, she’s the youngest in the show, and she’s looking forward to working with the talented adults around her. In her spare time, when she’s not at school, she makes likes to make wrist bands. Her thanks go out to her parents, Mike and Kelly, her classmates, and Madeline at Curtain Call.
Doug Working  (Assistant Director)
Doug Working s. His favorite parts are Dr. Tobias Frockmorton in ‘The Legend of Granny Siler’, Ernie in ‘Rumors’, and his church’s production of ‘The Messiah’ when he portrayed Pontius Pilate. He’s also been a part of many set building crews. Doug has performed on the Ole stage for 20+ years. Doug plays guitar and chess. He likes to paint, do jigsaw puzzles, and magic tricks. He’s also a puppeteer. What he wants to do the most is get a lot of laughs from you, our audience!
Debby Myers (Director)
Debby Myers has been a member of Ole Olsen for 27 years. Her first role was as Mae in ‘The Pajama Game’. Her favorite parts were as Truvy in ‘Steel Magnolias’, Cherie in ‘Dixie Swim Club’, Petula in ‘See How They Run, Esther in 'Crimson Cap Ladies Bare It All' and Lily in ‘Three Murders and It’s Only Monday’. Debby has directed 20+ shows with her favorites being ‘Night of January 16th’, ‘Of Mice and Men’, ‘A Few Good Men’, and ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’. She became a member of our Hall of Fame in 2011. Debby is currently on the board of directors heading up publicity. In her spare time, she has written 3 novels ‘The Vee Trilogy’. She spends time with her 9 grandkids. Special thanks to her husband, Alan, who she met through Ole Olsen, and they were married in our gazebo in 2012.
Tina Foust  (Karen)
Tina Foust caught the acting bug as a child. She acted in high school, college, and her adult roles were here at Ole. She was Mother Superior in Drinking Habits 1 & 2. This is the 2nd time Tina has been a part of ‘Jake’s Women’. She was stage manager for the play 17 years ago. She is thrilled she’s now part of the action on stage. At Ball State Tina minored in theatre, with classes in directing, acting and backstage work. She LOVES being a stage manager when she is not on stage. Tina credits her husband with supporting her and giving her time & space to “play” with others. She andJohn own Woody’s Spillway Camp & Bait near the Mississinewa Reservoir. Being a small business owner is time consuming. Tina finds time to participate in theatre at least once a year.
Lynn Weil  (Sheila (understudy) )
Lynn Weil is a court reporter by day. She started acting with Ole Olsen 31 years ago, and she has acted in many plays since. Some of her favorites include ‘Nunsense’, ‘California Suite’, and ‘Showstoppers’, where she got to fly on stage. Lynn is mom to two sons, and she is a new grandma to a beautiful baby girl. Lynn stepped in when we were in a jam, and she says she was happy to join the cast, and she’s excited to be back onstage with her sister, Kelly Makin (Maggie).
