About A Night of Comedy

Get ready for an evening of fast-paced fun and fractured fairy tales as the Obsidian Players present our Spring Show — a comedy showcase packed with chaos, classics, and just the right amount of theatrical mayhem!

First, journey to a kingdom that is absolutely not ready for curtain as we present The Worst Fairy Tale Ever — a hilariously off-the-rails story where actors forget their lines, a dragon has stage fright, and even the narrator struggles to keep the plot on track

. When nobody knows what’s happening but the show must go on, fairy tales have never gone so wrong!

Then, Shakespeare gets the speed-run treatment in Twenty Minute Romeo and Juliet — a wildly condensed, high-energy retelling that manages to squeeze duels, romance, misunderstandings, and dramatic declarations into just twenty minutes

. It’s Verona… but faster. Much faster.

Comedy legends take the stage with Who’s on First?, the iconic routine where baseball, wordplay, and total confusion collide in one of the most brilliantly frustrating conversations ever written

. Who’s on first? Yes! Exactly!

And buckle up for four selections from You’re Driving Me Crazy — a collection of 10-minute comedies set behind the wheel, where teenage drivers, anxious instructors, and over-the-top passengers prove that driver’s education may be the most dangerous sport of all

.

From fairy tale fiascos to Shakespearean speed, classic comedy confusion to driver’s ed disasters, this show has something for everyone. Join the Obsidian Players for a night of laughter you won’t want to miss!
