The Wizard of Oz Cast

Sydney is a junior, and this is her fifth show! She is a captain on the QT dance team and enjoys singing in the Delphian Chorale, Gracenotes, and Jazz Choir. In her free time she likes to bake, cook, read, and go hiking. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support!

Irma Wieslander is a junior at NPHS and is excited to reprise her role as Toto. Outside of school she enjoys participating in track and tennis, and enjoys dance as well. She enjoys choir, her dogs & scary movies! She wants to thank all of her friends and family for supporting and encouraging her to step out of her comfort zone!

Bella is a junior at NPHS, she has been involved in many shows including HONK, Law and Disorder, Singin’ in the Rain, Radium Girls, Crazy for you, and most recently Play On! Bella is a 5 year member of the QT Dance Team and is a part of the Delphian Chorale. Outside of theater, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and playing with her dog, Finnley. Bella would like to thank her friends and family for their constant support and love.

Jordi Kopp is a junior. He has been seen in Trumpet in the Land, The Nutcracker, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, A Night On Broadway, Honk! Jr., Mary Poppins Jr., The Little Mermaid, Dial M for Murder, Singin' in the Rain, Footloose, Radium Girls, Crazy for You, and Play On! among others. Apart from acting, he likes to sing, play guitar, and hang out with his friends. He would like to thank everyone who has helped him along the way.

Garin is a natural-born performer with a knack for physical comedy. As the lovable scarecrow, he brings a sense of childlike wonder and innocence to the stage. Garin's character is on a quest to find a brain, but he already possesses a heart full of kindness and a spirit of adventure. With his floppy movements and clever wit, Garin captivates the audience and steals the show. His comedic timing and ability to connect with the other characters make him a true scene-stealer. Get ready to witness Garin's incredible talent as he dances, sings, and brings the scarecrow to life in this magical musical adventure! (My Snapchat ai wrote this)

Derek is a junior this year at New Philadelphia High School. and this is his seventh stage performance. You may have seen him in shows such as Dial M for Murder, Crazy for You, and Play on!, all performed at the High School, or SpongeBob the Musical at the Little Theatre. He is excited to climb on stage with another powerful cast who make all of the hard work worth it. Aside from his musical talents, Derek aspires to be a Chemical Engineer in his latter years.

Abigail is a senior at NPHS. They are very excited to be in this production of The Wizard of Oz as the Lion. They have been in many other shows including Clue, Singin' in the Rain, and Crazy for You. They are very involved in their school's music program and love to perform. They would like to thank their family and friends for always supporting them in everything that they do!

Scarling is a sophomore at NPHS. Shows you may recognize her from are Matilda Jr, Radium Girls, Crazy for You, and Play On. In her free time, you can find her reading, working on her flowerbeds and indoor plants, listening to music, and looking for the next concert to attend. Scarling is a proud owner of her small Etsy business, Indigo Crow Design. She would like to thank her family and directors for comforting her when needed and encouraging her to succeed.

Colton is a sophomore at NPHS, he has performed in several shows, including Law and Disorder, The Lion King, Matilda, Crazy for You, and Radium Girls. Colton is a part of the Delphian Chorale, and the Jazz Choir at NPHS. I would love to thank my family and friends for all the support!

Olivia is a freshman at NPHS. She is very thrilled to be performing in her first high school musical. She has performed in many other productions, some of her favorites being Spongebob Youth Editon as Spongebob, Matilda Jr. as Lavender, and Twas the Night Before Christmas as Amos. In her free time she enjoys performing with her band the Synthetic Roses, playing the bass, singing, and playing tennis. She would like to thank the directors and cast on the show, and family for always supporting her.

Mackenna Armstrong is a junior at NPHS. She has been in multiple shows through school including Mary Poppins Jr, Honk Jr, Law and Disorder, Singin’ in the Rain, Radium Girls, and Crazy for You. She is on the girls tennis team and is in involved in various activities through 4-H. She enjoys reading and hanging out with her friends in her free time. She would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her throughout this show!

Evy is a freshman at NPHS. This is her first high school musical production, and she enjoyed it very much. Evy has done many previous middle school and Little Theatre productions. Some examples are Matilda Jr., Law and Disorder, The Addams Family, Play On, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Evy enjoys swimming for the NPHS swim team and playing for the the tennis team. Evy also enjoys choir and hanging out with her friends. Evy wants to thank the cast, crew, and family for the amazing friendships and encouragement!

Braylon is a Freshman at NPHS. This is his first show, and he is ready to try his best. Braylon loves soccer, bowling, and guitar. He cares about everything he does and thanks his family and his sister for encouragement.

Heather Demuth has been a part of Crazy For You, Radium Girls, Matilda Jr., Law and Disorder, and Honk Jr. She loves spending time with her cats. Heather is also a member of the tennis team and treble jazz choir. She would like to thank her family for always being there to support her. She would also like to thank her cats, Forrest and Apollo, for being so supportive of her. Lastly, Heather would like to thank Sarah, Miss Prucha, the cast, and tech crew for doing their best to make this show possible!

Kyra is a senior at NPHS. Her previous productions include Beauty and the Beast Jr., Mary Poppins Jr., Honk Jr., and Singin' in the Rain. Kyra enjoys singing karaoke, volunteering at church, and spending time with her family and friends. Kyra is also a member of student council, is the NHS Historian, and also a member of the academic challenge team. She would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for their support, and she reminds you to enjoy the show.

Macie is a junior at NPHS. The Wizard of Oz is her first high school production, but she also appeared as the Mad Hatter in Welty Middle School’s 2021 production of Law and Disorder. She enjoys being a field commander for the MQB, playing trumpet in symphonic band, and playing tenor in the New Philadelphia High School Steel Drum Band. She is also part of various choirs at NPHS including Mixed Jazz Choir, Grace Notes, and the Delphian Chorale. She would like to give a thank you to her family and friends for always being supportive and encouraging through her various activities!

Helen is a sophomore at NPHS and was in Crazy for You. Helen likes reading, baking, and crocheting. Helen is also a part of the QT dance team, and steel band. She would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her!

Baylee is a junior at NPHS. She is very excited for her first show ever! In her free time, Baylee enjoys reading and hanging out with her friends and family. Baylee is also a member of the varsity girls tennis team. Baylee would like to thank her friends and family for their unconditional support!

Katelynn Scott is a Junior at NPHS. She's a member of the Delphian Chorale, Advanced Guitar Ensemble, and the Girls Tennis team. She's previously been in The Velveteen Rabbit, Shrek the Musical, Mary Poppins, Honk Jr., The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Law and Disorder, Dial M for Murder, Radium Girls, Singin' in the Rain, Crazy for you, and Play On. She would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her.

Anna Wherley is freshie at NPHS. She’s is excited to be in this show! She had been in many shows, some of her favorites being Beth in the Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda, and Morticia in the Addams Family. In her free time, she enjoys singing in the Synthetic Roses band, hanging with her friends, and playing the drums. She would like to thank the directors and cast for an epic show, and her family for supporting her!

Adalia is a sophomore at NPHS, she has preformed in many shows at the school and Little Theatre. Some of these shows include Matilda Jr., Law and Disorder, Honk Jr., The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Fairy Tale Christmas Carol, and Crazy for you. She is a part of Volleyball and the swim team. Adalia would like to thank her family and friends for all their support!

Eliza VanArsdalen is a senior at NPHS, she is involved in soccer and swim. Eliza’s previous productions include The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Fairytale Christmas Carol, Mary Poppins, Honk Jr., and Crazy for You. Eliza enjoys playing guitar and reading. She would like to thank her parents for always loving and supporting her.

Teagan is a freshman at NPHS. This is his first production ever. Teagan enjoys spending time with friends, playing guitar, and playing soccer. Teagan would like to thank his Mom and Dad for all of their encouragement.

Simon is very excited to be a part of this production and is no stranger to the stage! His favorite previous roles include Woodstock in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Sardine Devotee in The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition, at The Little Theatre, and Kurt in The Sound of Music at Trumpet in the Land. He also once held the world record for youngest person alive, but it got broken pretty quickly. Most recently Saff performed as “Thomas” in the Little Theatre's production of Tuck Everlasting and as Tiny Tim at the Reeves Museum in their annual production of A Christmas Carol. He has also been part of the Little Theatre Children's Workshop in the past (Disney's The Lion King Jr. and The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition), as well as Theatre 815’s Charlotte's Web. Saff is a 9 year old homeschooler and lives in Beach City...where he would like you to know, there is neither beach nor city.

Alee is a 3rd grader at South Elementary. This is her debut on stage! She takes Musical Theater classes at Lacey PAC. Alee also competes for New Phila’s soccer and basketball teams.

Kate is a Kindergartener at East Elementary. This is her 1st time on stage! Kate is also involved in tumbling, softball and soccer!
