Win Scott (Captain Tempest)
Win is a Junior, and this is his eighth main stage production at Mount Vernon. He has pre- viously participated in The Miracle Worker (Captain Keller), The Drowsy Chaperone (Al- dolpho), and The Tempest (Caliban). He has also succeeded earning superiors at Thescon for the past 3 years, as well as succeeding in this year’s film festival. He would like to thank his director, Mr. Taylor, musical directors, Mr. Thornton and Mr. Stephens, and his stage manag- er, Shea! Enjoy the Show!
William Nix (Doctor Prospero)
William Nix is a sophomore at the Mount Vernon School and is very excited to be a part of this production. William made his premiere in 6th grade as Mr. Bucket in Willy Wonka Jr. He is also known for his roles in Madagascar Jr, The Odyssey, and The Tempest. William would like to thank his directors and his peers for helping him be his best self! He hopes you enjoy the show!
Caroline Morrison (Miranda)
Caroline Morrison is a Senior, and is delighted that her bittersweet, final performance as an MVAllstar should be in such a wonderfully strange show as this. Some of her favorite previ- ous roles include Ariel in The Tempest, Magic Carpet in Aladdin, and ensemble in Matilda. Caroline would like to thank her wonderful cast and crewmates for their incredible work and support. Arden Adams (Ariel)
Arden Adams is a senior and has had the honor of serving as Troupe 7702’s president this year. Return to The Forbidden Planet marks her eleventh and final MVAllstars production. Past favorite MV theatre credits include Prospero in The Tempest, The Chaperone in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Howie Newsome in Our Town. She will attend Point Park University in the fall as a BFA Theatre Arts Major. She is grateful for the past four years and everyone that has been a part of it, and could not ask for a more supportive cast, crew, and creative team.
Tabitha Nagy (Science Office/Gloria)
Tabitha is a senior and a member of Thespian Troupe 7702, who will soon be concluding her 13th year here at Mount Vernon! You may have seen her in shows like Miracle Worker and Shwingin! Shingin! Shakespeare. She loves to showcase her musical abilities on the oboe and the saxophone (which may be featured in this show...) This year she received two superiors at the 2021 Georgia Thespian Conference for group acting and a musical duet! She would love to thank Mr. Taylor and Mr. Neylon for their guidance throughout her theatrical journey and hopes you enjoy the show!!!!
Miller Woodall (Cookie)
Miller Woodall is a sophomore and the one of the Publicity Officers of Thespian Society Troupe 7702. Return to the Forbidden Planet will be her thirteenth production at Mount Vernon, and her fifth production as one of the MV Allstars. You might have seen her in The Tempest,The Arrival, Willy Wonka, Seussical, or The Odyssey, to name a few. She would like to thank her directors, the cast, and her friends and family. Piper Hendryx (Bosun)
Piper Hendryx is a freshman and a member of Thespian Society troupe 7702. Return to the Forbidden Planet will be her fifteenth production at Mount Vernon, and her second produc- tion as one of the MV Allstars. You might have seen her in The Tempest, Box, Flat Stanley, or The Odyssey, to name a few. This past year Piper has gotten to be a Junior State Thespian Officer, which means she helped plan the 2021 Thespian Conference. She would like to thank her directors, the rest of the cast, and her friends and family. Enjoy the show!
Kat Petty (Navigational Officer)
Kat Petty is in the Ninth grade at the Mount Vernon School and a member of Thespian Troupe 7702. Notable past roles include Ensemble Member in Shwingin’ Shingin’ Shake- speare, Miranda in The Tempest, Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Jr., and Reporter and Oompa Loompa in Willy Wonka Jr. When not performing, Kat enjoys reading, drawing, and creative writing. She recently finished writing a 500-page fantasy novel. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Nick Schweninger (Space Cadet)
Nick Schweninger is a freshman at Mount Vernon. Having been here since 5th grade, Nick has been in almost every show! Some of his favorite roles include James in James and the Giant Peach, and Santa in ELF. He is very excited to be a part of this show and would like to thank Mr. Taylor and Shea. Dennis Norman (Space Cadet)
Dennis Norman is in eighth grader at Mount Vernon. Dennis loves doing Theater, art, and music. He has been in five plays ( Jungle book the musical , ELF Jr. the musical, Madagascar Jr. the musical, Boxed and labeled, and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown) Dennis would like to thank his parents, his little brother Spencer, Mr.Stephens and Mr.Taylor for all their support. Audrey Brown (Space Cadet)
This is Audrey Brown, class of 2024. She would like to thank everyone that has helped with the show. She is excited that Mount Vernon continues to do theater during the pandemic. Audrey has previously performed in shows including The Tempest, Seussical, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Hamilton, and The Lion King. She hopes you enjoy the show.
Ella Hawkins (Baby Miranda)
Ella Hawkins is a baby. She has four months of experience being a baby. This is her theatre debut. Enjoy the show!
David Leflar (Newscaster)
Dave Leflar, known as Teacher Leflar to his students, is an educator, musician, linguist, and naturalist, with a particular enthusiasm for mycology. With a history of touring and recording as a musical performer, he is not new to the stage, however he is honored to be involved in his first production with the Mount Vernon thespians! Please enjoy the dulcet and euphonious tones of his mellifluous glottis.
Shea Griffith (Stage Manager)
Shea is a freshman at Mount Vernon, and is excited to be a part of this show. She is a part of the Thespian Society troupe 7702, and recently got a superior for her stage management of the Tempest. She has stage managed several shows, including Mount Vernon’s Tempest, and assistant stage managed for The Arrival. In her free time, Shea enjoys listening to music, playing the cello, and being outside. She would like to thank the directors, friends, and family for their support. Enjoy the show!
Zoe Embleton (Assistant Stage Manager)
Zoe Embleton is a freshman at Mount Vernon and is super excited to be helping with RTTFP. You may have previously seen her helping with The Tempest. She is also a part of Thespian Troupe 7702. Jake Lortz (Lights/crew)
Jake is a senior and involved in the MVAllstars. He is a member of the Thespian Society and the Vice-President for the Mount Vernon troupe. Some of his favorite past shows include; Hip Summer Night’s Dream, Frozen, The Addams Family, and Our Town. He has earned a Superior at Thescon for the past 3 years. He would like to thank Mr. Taylor and Mr. Neylon for supporting him in his passion for theater.
Eleanor Madderra (Sound/crew)
Eleanor, a senior at Mount Vernon, is elated to be given the opportunity to help with the sound for this show. Since freshman year, she has been passionate about storytelling through sound, whether through musical numbers and lines or foley and sound effects. She would love to thank the Publicity officers of Thespian Troupe 7702 for their diligent work on the program and the tech team for all of their hard work to make this show happen. Creating a sound is an art form, a science, and a wildly experimentative process, and she is happy that you are here to enjoy the show!
Addie Vogt (Props/Crew)
Addie is a sophomore at Mount Vernon who is super excited to work with the tech team for this show! She has been in the cast of many All-Stars productions in the past, including The Arrival and The Tempest. However, this is her first time working behind the scenes, and she is so happy to be a part of this show! She is also helping with the program and the poster design for the show, as she is a Publicity Officer with Thespian Troupe 7702. She would like to thank everyone involved in this crazy process for helping bring this show to life!

Sydney Tiffin is a freshman at Mount Vernon and has had so much fun helping out with Re- turn to the Forbidden Planet. Some of Sydney’s favorite roles are Gretel in The Almost Totally True Story of Hansel and Gretel, Mowgli in The Jungle Book, and King Julian in Madagascar. She would like to thank her director, her family and friends, and her amazing crewmates for all their support. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Grace Gilmour (Assistant Costumer/Crew)
Grace Gilmour is a sophomore and she is part of thespian troupe 7702. She is so excited to be helping with costumes and tech for this show! Grace took part in all of the Middle School shows since Seusical the Musical, and in Upper School she took part in The Arrival and Swinging! Shinging! Shakespeare. She hopes you enjoy this show!
Rose Dodder (Crew)
Rose, a Junior at Mount Vernon who is beloved by her classmates and castmates, has been at the heart of many past productions. Her camaraderie with everyone involved in the production sets her apart from the crowd, and her work ethic and drive amaze all who work with her. Past productions include The Arrival, The Tempest, Drowsy Chaperone, and Miracle Worker. She would love to thank the Publicity officers of Thespian Troupe 7702 for their diligent work on the program and the rest of the tech team for making this show happen. Elizabeth Weymouth (Bass)
Elizabeth Weymouth is so excited to be in her third Mount Vernon production. She will be playing bass alongside the rest of the band and the cast. Bass guitar is one of her passions, even though she is new to the instrument. She has learned so much about the bass guitar and how to read music ever since she first got her guitar last Christmas. She would like the thank all of the wonderful people who helped her play in this show, and she hopes you enjoy the performance, along with the out-of-this-world music!
Emi Lutz (Rhythm Guitar)
Emi, class of 2024, is a freshman at the Mount Vernon School. This is her debut performance with the MV Allstars in Return from the Forbidden Planet. Emi is playing rhythm guitar in the band. She would like to thank Mr. Thorton, Mr. Taylor, and the cast of Return from the Forbidden Planet!
Jim Brooks (Lead Guitar)
Jim Brooks is a long-time veteran of the Atlanta music scene, as a singer/songwriter and guitarist since the 1980s. His current band, with his daughter (and Mt. Vernon teacher) Meg Brooks, The Brookses, released its debut album “Lucky Charm” in 2019 to critical acclaim in both the US and UK. Glide Magazine called the album “a rich bygone take on the stunning sound of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris, that lifts with silvery harmonies.” His many theater credits include performances at 7 Stages, Theatrical Outfit, Atlanta Shakespeare, and the Center for Puppetry Arts.
Jerry Fields (Drums)
For four years, Jerry Fields has served as director of percussion at The Mount Vernon School. Touring the United States in the Early 70’s, as a Columbia Records recording artist and member of the legendary Hampton Grease Band, Fields, at the age of 21, performed at numerous “mega pop festivals’ as well as clubs and concert halls including the Fillmore East. These performances gave Fields the opportunity to share the stage with Frank Zappa, Dave Brubeck, The Grateful Dead, the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Captain Beefheart, Led Zeppelin, Bette Midler and the Tony Williams Lifetime, among others.
