Proof Cast

Catherine (Darby Sauer)
I am excited for the opportunity to once again be a part of a Northern Stage Works production and am honored to work alongside this amazing cast. Catherine has been a fascinating character to get to know and develop over these past weeks. I hope that you will enjoy your experience with this production as much as I have enjoyed being a part of it. My past credits include roles in the Northern Stage Works productions of the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hallow (Radio Performance), Almost Maine, Irritation to a Murder, and Tin Woman.
Hal (Tucker Nelson)
Tucker Nelson is no stranger to the stage. He began acting in junior high and has participated in several Lyric Center plays, along with every Mesabi Musical Theatre production since 2010. He serves as master of ceremonies for the Minnesota State Old Time Fiddle Championship since 2012 and has participated in several variety shows with his friend Steve Solkela. Tucker lives in Virginia with his wife, Ashley; stepson, Charlie; and cat, Pugsley. He is the editor of Hometown Focus, a community newspaper, and he loves being able to share positive stories about the Iron Range—talk to him after the show if you’re interested in becoming a contributor. He also serves on the board of the Virginia Community Foundation and the church council at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Robert (Tom Moe)
Tom is very pleased to be able to return to the Lyric and participate in a live performance in front of real audiences! Tom lives in Eveleth with his wife Gayle Streier and works for U. S. Steel at its Minntac and Keetac facilities as an environmental/water resources engineer. He was last seen at the Lyric in the production of Almost Maine, where he had the great pleasure of working not only with Darby Sauer and Tucker Nelson, but also his daughter Josie. His advice to those who find themselves awake late at night is to “sit down and do some mathematics
Claire (Kaija Pellinen)
Kaija has been interpreting life through her acting skills since she was a youngster. From Northern Lights Players, to Small Parts Players, to Perpich Center for Arts Education, MN State Mankato and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and stages from the Annex to Chanhassen and the Globe in London, Kaija enjoys bringing new and old characters to life. Kaija's last production at the Annex was with Lisa VillaMil's play 'Kara Sevda.' Kaija says " While I'm looking forward to the time when I can return to professional theater again, this opportunity to develop Claire along side the other cast members has been a fun experience!"
