Matilda Jr. Cast

Scout is a 5th grader at LVIS. She played Amanda Thripp in the Rising Stars production of Matilda Jr. in spring of 2021 and is excited to return in the role of Matilda this year. She previously played Veruca in Willy Wonka Jr. and Little Anna in Frozen Jr. This summer she performed in LTMT’s Mary Poppins. She also plays various roles in her original performances at home with her brother.

Journey is a sixth grader and this is his fifth year being a part of LTMTs Rising Stars. He has performed in Aladdin Jr, Matilda Jr., and Frozen Jr. He also performed in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Revolting Children at the 2021 Masquerade Ball. Last year Journey landed the role of Charlie in Willy Wonka Jr. which was a dream come true, and there is no doubt he as been bitten by the musical theater bug. This past summer he played the role of Eric in Zilker Theatre Production's Matilda with 24 shows in 100 degree heat. He can't wait to be back on the air conditioned stage to perform one of our favorite shows Matilda Jr! In addition to theater, he loves music and can be seen mixing beats, strumming the ukulele or learning new songs on the piano.

Jaxon Morton is a 4th grader at Larspur elementary in Leander. He was last seen onstage at UT in Summer Stock Austin’s award winning production of Wizard of Oz (City Father). Other notable productions include Seussical (Horton) and 101 Dalmatians (Roger). He would like to thank his voice teacher Jillian Brackett for their support. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Following in the footsteps of his 3 older siblings, Lazarus has been performing with Rising Stars for several years with roles in Frozen Jr., Aladdin Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., and as Mike Teavee in Willy Wonka Jr. Most recently Lazarus played the role of Michael Banks in Mary Poppins. Lazarus is excited to play the role of Bruce in Matilda Jr.! In addition to theatre, Lazarus also plays baseball and basketball on local LV teams.

Giovanni is very excited for this opportunity to be part of his first ever production! He is a 6th grader at LVMS and enjoys time with his Family, Golf, Disney and Dad jokes.

Avelyn is 7 years old and a second grader this year. She is so excited to be performing with LTMT for the first time. She has previously performed in SistersAct performing arts productions of Aladdin Jr. as Raja, Frozen Jr. as Oaken, Annie Jr. as Molly, and Beauty and the Beast Jr. as a silly girl. She loves ballet, soccer, tennis and making people laugh.

Lara is in 5th grade at Lago Vista Intermediate School and is excited to be part of LTMT's production of Matilda Jr. Lara previously performed in shows including The Littlest Christmas Tree and Cold Snap at Lago Vista Elementary School, as well as in several dance, piano, and violin recitals. She loves gymnastics, volleyball, reading, and playing the violin.

Isabel is thrilled to be making her debut performance! She is a student at Lago Vista Intermediate School. Isabel enjoys singing, acting, and soccer. She would like to dedicate this performance to her family but most of all her Aunt Tori.

Stella is a fifth grader that's had a love for the stage since the age of six. She performed in previous LTMT shows including Beauty and the Beast Jr., Aladdin Jr., and The Little Mermaid Jr.

Summer is a sixth grader and this is their fifth year being a part of the Rising Stars with roles in Aladdin Jr., Matilda Jr., Revolting Children performance at the 2021 Masquerade Ball, Frozen Jr., and Willy Wonka Jr. They are so excited to have gotten the part of Alice in Matilda Jr. and can't wait to be back on stage! They have a big heart for animals, and enjoy music, swimming and art. When Summer is not on the stage, they can be found on roller skates squeezing through and scoring points on the roller derby track.

Chloe is in 5th grade and has loved acting since she was a toddler! She previously performed in Willy Wonka Jr. with LTMT and plans to join productions every year. Chloe also enjoys being crafty, interior design, listening to Taylor Swift and watching Grey's Anatomy. She dreams of attending University of Austin to major in either medical or possibly law.

Juniper was born to be a performer. She has appeared on stage in prominent roles since she was 4. She competes in speech and oral reading competitions, performs with Lago Vista Jr. Viking Choir, Northlake Church Praise Choir, and Hill Country Singers youth choir. She serves as an assistant for Lago Vista Performing Arts programs and appeared in Northlake Church's, A Christmas Homecoming. She also plays basketball and competes with Arise gym's competition cheer team, Shimmer. She is excited about her future in theater in Lago Vista.

Lucy is a seventh grader at LVMS, and has been performing with LTMT for 6 years with roles in Frozen Jr. (middle Anna), Beauty & The Beast Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., Aladdin Jr., Annie (as Molly), and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. She also performed in The Sound Of Music (Gretel) with LVHS Viking Theatre. Most recently Lucy received the "best performer" award in the UIL middle school One Act Play competition. Lucy is part of the Northlake Church Kids Worship band where she plays piano. She loves theatre, playing the piano, singing, art, and spending time with her family.

Teagan is a 8th grader who has been acting for 3 years and can’t wait to perform in LTMT's Matilda Jr! This will be Teagan’s 6th theatre production and hopes to be in more for the future!

Max’s passion for performing started when he was just a toddler, he would choose to watch musical’s over cartoons, his pretend play always involved acting roles from musicals and Broadway shows (he even made a life-size Matilda doll to pretend play that he was Miss Trunchbull in the scene where she spins Matilda around). His 1st performance was at the YMCA when he was kindergartner, then came various theater camps. Max took on challenging roles from the start, he played Alice at the Los Altos Stage company theater at the park adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. But Max’s most impressive work was performing in the Jack and the Beanstalk at the Children’s Fairyland amusement Park in Oakland where he received over 50 hours of performing arts training with professional artists and educators, and performed for park attendees in a total of 36 shows. Max went on to also perform at the park’s Christmas show.

Eliza is very excited to continue her musical theatre experience in her first production at LTMT. She has been in several plays at Henry Middle School including the musicals Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins. She also participated in Legally Blonde Jr. at the Georgetown Palace Theatre summer program. She loves singing, acting, and doing color guard.

Mackenzie is pleased to be a part of yet another Rising Stars Production. She participated in last year's show, Willy Wonka Jr. as The Candyman. She also has been a part of many LVHS theater productions such as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Betty Haynes (White Christmas), Louise Goldman (Epic Proportions), Max/Cecil (The One Act Play That Goes Wrong), Gertrude McFuzz (Seussical.) Mackenzie is also the vice-president of the LVHS Drama Club, and enjoys volunteering her time with the Lago Vista Leos and LV Players. She is so thankful for her Mom, Dad, sisters, brother, grandparents and friends that continue to support her acting journey.

Anya is a freshman at LVHS and has been participating in theater since the age of 3. She has appeared in numerous Rising Stars productions including Beauty & the Beast Jr., Aladdin Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., Frozen, Jr. and Willy Wonka Jr. as well as appearing in the LVHS Viking Theatre productions of The Lion King Jr. and The Sound of Music. Anya has also appeared in the LTMT productions of Joseph, Peter Pan, Oklahoma, Annie, Hello Dolly, and Mary Poppins. Anya played the title character, Matilda, with Rising Stars in 2021 and on the stage at LTMT’s 2021 Masquerade Ball. She also participated in the LVMS One Act Play, where she was awarded “All-Star Cast” for her role as Lucy in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Anya is on the drumline in the LVHS marching band and also enjoys playing basketball and pole-vaulting.

Zach is a ninth grader this year at Sterling Classical School. While this is not his first performance in theater it is his first with LTMT. He began musical theater through church choir and most recently starred in the production of HUSH: An interview with America with ZACH Theater Acting Company.

Maya is a senior at LVHS and has been performing with Rising Stars since it’s inception in 2014. A few memorable roles include Gladys Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Linus in A Charlie Brown Christmas, Flounder in The Little Mermaid, Jr., and Anna in Frozen, Jr. Maya was accepted into Zach Theater’s Pre-Apprentice Program in 2019, studying acting, voice and dance. She has appeared in Lake Travis Music Theatre’s productions of Joseph, Peter Pan, Oklahoma and as the title character, Annie, in LTMT’s 2019 production of Annie. Maya appeared in LTMT’s Hello Dolly in the role of Ermengarde and in the Viking Theatre productions of White Christmas and Seussical (Mayzie). Maya plans to attend college in Oklahoma to study Theatre. She is also a coach at Arise Gymnastics.

Justin is a 6th grader this year at LVMS. This is his second year with LTMT's productions! Last year he played Augustus Gloop in Willy Wonka Jr. and loved it! He loves acting in theatre, playing golf, and football! In his free time he likes learning everything about coding and computers!

Emerson is a Freshman at Sterling Classical School. She is thrilled to be performing in this year's production of Matilda Jr! Emerson has always had a love for the arts, especially her experiences with LTMT. Her previous performances include All that Jazz, Beauty and the Beast Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr, Annie, The Sound of Music (LVHS Viking Theatre), Aladdin Jr, Frozen Jr, Willy Wonka Jr, and Mary Poppins.

Tyler is excited to be in his 2nd play with LTMT. Before Matilda Jr., he performed in Willy Wonka Jr. There he found he really enjoyed being a part of a big production with other kids. Tyler is in 5th grade. When not rehearsing for Matilda he enjoys playing baseball and basketball.

This is Jon’s first time preforming with Rising Stars. He has been in several shows with The Lago Vista Players including The Last Round Up of the Guacamole Queens and Arsenic and Old Lace. He has also been in many shows with the Lago Vista High School theater, with the latest being Suessical and the soon to be performed spring show, Check, please.

Cora is a sixth grader this year and is excited to be a part of Matilda Jr! She performed in previous LTMT shows including playing young Elsa in Frozen Jr. and a Candyman Kid in Willy Wonka Jr. Cora loves to sing, play soccer, and have new experiences. She is also a talented visual artist.

Jude is 14 and a freshman at LVHS. Jude has always been an entertainer and loves to make people laugh. He has been with LTMT in previous years having been in Beauty and the Beast Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr. and Willy Wonka Jr. and most recently was in the Viking Theatre production of Seussical.

Haylee has been with Rising Stars since its inception. She has also done summer theater and theater camps. She loves acting and singing.

Deijah is a freshman in high school and is ecstatic to do another Rising Stars musical. She has performed in many LTMT musicals including The Little Mermaid Jr., Annie, Willy Wonka Jr., and Mary Poppins. Deijah also appeared in Viking Theatre's fall production of Seussical as Mrs. Mayor, and will be playing Kim in the LVHS spring show, Check, Please.

This is Kate's 8th production overall & her first at LTMT. She's previously performed in Henry Middle School productions including their UIL one-act play, Badger. She loves to sing and loves to be on stage.

Amelia has enjoyed her career with LTMT Rising Stars from her first performance in Cinderella (Mouse), Those Magic 50's (Teenie-bopper), Beauty and the Beast Jr. (Villager & Carpet), The Little Mermaid Jr., Annie (July), Aladdin Jr. (Golden girl & Villager), Frozen Jr. (Castle staff), Willy Wonka Jr. (Grandparent), and as Baby Jesus in RHCC depiction of the nativity at 4 weeks old.. As a soon-to-be freshmen she is very interested in pursuing performing arts at the high school including dancing with the Valkyries dance troupe.

Brookley is in the sixth grade at Lago Vista Middle School and has been fortunate to be a part of Lake Travis Music Theatre for six years. She has performed in The Little Mermaid Jr., Aladdin Jr., Matilda Jr., Frozen Jr., Willy Wonka Jr. and Mary Poppins. Brookley is happiest when she is participating in musical theatre, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Trent Norman is a 7th grader and is excited to be back for his third performance with Rising Stars. He’s also performed in The Little Mermaid Jr. and Frozen Jr. Trent enjoys sports, gaming with friends, and traveling with his family. This past summer Trent and his family finished traveling to all 50 states.

Zoe started acting with LTMT at 5 years old. She is most happy when she’s on the stage. Zoe previously performed in LTMTs productions of Aladdin Jr., Frozen Jr., and Willy Wonka Jr. and also appeared in last summer's Mary Poppins. She loves to dance, sing and cheer. She has been taking courses with Zach Theater for 2 years. Her dream is to perform on Broadway, and in 2022 she got to attend her first on Broadway show in NYC.

Matilda Jr. is Lily’s fifth performance with the Rising Stars and last summer she was in LTMT's Mary Poppins. She loves singing and dancing on stage and looks forward to many more performances!

Brookelyn is a 7th grader at LVMS and is thrilled to participate in her second LTMT show. She recently appeared in LTMT’s production of Mary Poppins. Brookelyn participated in the LVMS One Act Play, and loves playing sports such as volleyball and track. She wants to thank the cast and crew for the wonderful experience.

Laila is in 5th grade and plays volleyball and basketball. This is her first theatrical performance. For years she was too nervous to act in front of others but at the beginning of the school year she set a personal goal to have the courage to audition for Matilda Jr. We couldn't be more proud for her to accomplish her goal!

Maya is in the 8th grade. She enjoys cheer, practicing electric guitar and singing. Theatre is her #1 passion and she has been a part LTMT for many years. She has learned so much and made unforgettable memories by being a part of The Little Mermaid Jr., Aladdin Jr., Annie, Frozen Jr., and Willy Wonka Jr. as Mrs. Gloop. She loves being on stage and looks forward to each and every show!

Autumn is returning to the LTMT program for her second year. She previously performed in the Willy Wonka Jr. production in the spring of 2023 and is excited to act on stage again in Matilda Jr. Aside from acting she plays basketball and enjoys social activities.

Lili is a 7th grader at Lago Vista Middle School and is returning to the stage for her second theater performance. She performed in Willy Wonka, Jr. last year as a tango dancer and candyman kid. Lili is active in the Lago Vista Middle School Band and played on the Lady Vikings Volleyball team last Fall. She loves sports, music and spending time with her friends and family.

Jamie is thrilled to perform in Matilda Jr! She's been in a plethora of plays in the past, with some of her favorite roles including The Cowardly Lion in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Mrs. Armstrong in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Ma in Aw Shucks, and Rosemary in Cafe Murder. She's also performed in musicals such as Frozen Jr., Peter Pan, Matilda Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., and Beauty and the Beast Jr. She is infinitely grateful for her parents and her various directors for enabling her to be the actress she is today.

Karsyn is excited for her first role in LTMT's Matilda Jr. When she’s not at school or theater, she enjoys voice acting, voice lessons, and graphic design. In the past Karsyn has also participated in the following productions in Hawaii: A Tale of the Two Slippahs and the 2019 HCCSA Christmas Musical.

Madison has been doing theatre for 5 years and can’t wait to be on stage again. She recently has performed in Wild Strawberries, The Wonderful State Of Texas, and The Wizard of Oz, She also helped out with the LVMS UIL production of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and was in last year's Willy Wonka Jr. with Rising Stars. She loves dancing, singing, and acting.

Malia is a 7th grader at Lago Vista Middle School. Malia previously performed in LTMT productions of Frozen Jr. and Willy Wonka Jr. Malia's other passions include swimming and ballet. She is excited for the opportunity to perform in this year's Matilda Jr.

Annabeth is an eighth grader this year and is excited to be a part of the musical. She has performed in previous productions, her most recent being Oklahoma. Annabeth loves reading, writing and spending time with friends.

David is a 7th grader at Fortis Academy and is thrilled to be performing in Matilda, Jr. He has previously performed as Augustus Gloop in Willy Wonka Jr, the Duke of Wesselton in Frozen, Jr., the White Witch's dwarf in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Boq in The Wizard of Oz, and various other roles. When not involved in theater, David loves to spend time with his dog Chewy and play video games.

Gage is a fifth grader at CC Mason Elementary School where he has performed in Dear Santa, Pirates! and Sno Biz. This is his first LTMT show and is excited to be a part of the Matilda Jr. cast. Gage loves to entertain, boulder, read and travel.

Valerie is a bright, funny 10-year-old, and is in Fifth grade this year at Lago Vista ISD. She spent her summer performing with Lyric Theatre as Duchess in, The Aristocats Kids. This is will be Valerie's fourth production with Lake Travis Music Theatre. She's completed theatrical performances in Willy Wonka Jr., Frozen Jr., and Aladdin, Jr. and dance performances with Cedar Park Dance Company. She enjoys singing, acting, crafts, and goofing around with her big brother. Valerie loves making people laugh!

Leona is a fourth grader this year and is excited to perform in Matilda Jr. She previously performed with LTMT in Willy Wonka Jr. Prior to LTMT, Leona played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz with Kids Acting in Austin. Leona loves singing, acting, spending time with her friends, and being part of a wonderful show.
