About Remnants

Kinetics Dance Company presents Remnants, a dance performance showcasing internal reflections on worth, failure, healing, acceptance, and the potentiality of human kind. This performance guides audience members on a journey to interrogate their own conscious and subconscious notions about the world and how it is inhabited. The Black Box Theatre at Howard County Center for the Arts creates an intimate and meaningful viewing experience that should not be missed! We invite you to join KDC in their first return to the theatre since 2019.

Collaborators

KDC is grateful for the opportunity to work with guest choreographer, Alexis Araminta Renee'. While in quarantine, Alexis re-developed rituals of breath, movement, and healing. She took to the earth and water to sift through endless questions on life and grief. For All We Know is a work in progress that begins to ask questions: What is on the other side of forgiveness? How do we care for each other as community practice and how do we grieve the living?

KDC is delighted to welcome dancers from Kinetics Youth Ensemble's Apprentice Company. In addition, the 3pm program will feature students from Hebron-Harman Elementary school who worked with Artistic Director, Liz QuiƱones, to create a work about strength and courage. We are also pleased to collaborate with Ian Otto Collins, a local musician and composer, for a new work titled "Unspoken, Unheard". This work will be accompanied live by Ian Otto Collins (piano) and Mairead Alexander (violin).
