Equilibrium presents a collection of works that explore aspects of identity and positionality, resulting in a quest for security and peace within self & within society. Although contemporary dance will serve as the main vehicle for expression, Equilibrium will also present this conceptual framework through jazz and dance-theatre forms. 

Kinetics Dance Company is KDT’s professional resident dance group. The company presents work in Howard County, the Baltimore/DC area, and the greater mid-Atlantic region. Through the presentation of it’s modern and contemporary work, the company shows its commitment to challenging conventional notions of what dance is, who dance is for, and where/how dance can be presented. The company also has a unique focus on dance education and strives to create accessible dance opportunities through workshops, master classes, and guest performances.
