Spectrum is an annual dance concert that presents a rich repertoire of new and returning KYE contemporary dance works. Performed by students in grades 4 through 12, this concert showcases dances with a spectrum of genres and concepts. In addition to KYE's concert dance repertory, Spectrum will also include an excerpt of the KYE's production of Alice in Wonderland.

Kinetics Dance Theatre (KDT) is a non-profit organization. KDT houses Kinetics Dance Company, presenting a rich repertoire of innovative concert dance, Kinetics School of Dance, offering classes in dance technique and theory to students of all ages and levels, and Kinetics Youth Ensemble, providing opportunities for devoted youth to perform and participate in dance opportunities throughout the area.

Our four Kinetics Youth Ensemble (KYE) companies are comprised of dancers in grades 4-12. Participating in KYE involves a commitment to class and rehearsal beyond normal class expectations and is intended for dancers who wish to hone their technique and performance skills. Time commitments are composed of weekly rehearsals and some pre-scheduled weekends. Additional rehearsals may be called in preparation for performances. In addition to their weekly schedules, ensemble members will have the opportunity to work with different choreographers in a variety of dance genres, perform throughout the year at various venues in the community, attend the annual Howard County Community Dance Festival (a weekend of master classes and performances culminating in a student showcase), perform in KYE productions in the Winter and Spring, and have their work featured in the Kinetics Spring Showcase.
