HARVEY WILLIAMS is the founder of KC Melting Pot Theatre. His critically acclaimed plays OLD SCHOOL, THE SESSION, ON SHOULDERS NOW, and 2121 have delighted Kansas City audiences. He has performed at theatres across Kansas City in productions of DRIVING MISS DAISY, ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD, LITTLE TOMMY PARKER, THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM, NOW LET ME FLY, THE PIANO LESSON, FENCES, 12 ANGRY MEN, 1940'S RADIO HOUR, BANK JOB, and THE GREEN DUCK LOUNGE. His KC Melting Pot performances include OLD SCHOOL GHETTO GOSPEL, WAITING TO BE INVITED, A SOFT ESCAPE, and SUNSET BABY. His performances with InPlay include THE AFRICAN COMPANY PRESENTS RICHARD THE III, MONKEY DON’T DRINK HOT CHOCOLATE, OTHELLO, JOURNEY WITH BARBARA JORDAN, and GRAPES VINE. Harvey has toured with Central Standard Theatre in Bedford, UK, and the Adelaide Fringe Festival in Adelaide, Australia. He is a UMKC alumni and a member of the SAG/AFTRA and AEA. Harvey continues with his attention to developing the KC Melting Pot Film Division.

Lynn King
LYNN KING is a native of Kansas City Kansas and has been performing for Kansas City Audiences for over 30 years. She received her MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and has regional and national credits in theatre, commercials, and film. Lynn is one of the original members of the KC Melting Pot Collective, appearing in their first-ever production of OLD SCHOOL GHETTO GOSPEL, in 2013. Lynn was last seen in ‘NIGHT, MOTHER here at KCMPT. She also stays busy working in other capacities as KCMPT’s Artistic Director - Education. KCMPT provided Lynn with her directorial debut in 2019 and she was privileged to be one of the all-female directors in the 2021-23. Sincere thanks to Linda and Harvey for their support. Aalayah Norwood
AALAYA NORWOOD has worked with companies such as Whim Productions, Rising Tide Productions, and KC Public Theatre! This is her sixth time with KCMPT and is honored to work with them once again. As an actress in Kansas city, Aalayah loves theatre and tries to stay as active as possible in the community. She graduated with her B.F.A. in Acting from Southeast Missouri State University in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. It was here that she developed her skill in shows such as A RAISIN IN THE SUN and THE THREE MUSKETEERS. Since then Aalayah has performed in SMILE with KC Public Theatre, The-Pop-Up-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named with Rising Tide Productions, and LAST SUMMER AT BLUEFISH COVE with Whim Productions. Aalayah was last seen on the KCMPT stage in LONG TIME SINCE YESTERDAY!

Dennis Jackson
DENNIS JACKSON is a Kansas City native and resident sound designer for KCMPT. He designed sound for Jackie Sibblies Drury’s FAIRVIEW, James Baldwin’s AMEN CORNER, Brysen Boyd’s FAMILY SIDESHOW at KC Melting Pot Theatre, Dominique Morriseau’s SKELETON CREW at Kansas City Actors Theatre, Douglas Lyon’s CHICKEN AND BISCUITS at The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City, Terrace Wyatt, Jr’s BLACK MAN, MO at Terrace Studios, Kenneth Jones’ ALABAMA STORY and Kate Hennig’s MOTHER’S DAUGHTER at Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, and Robert Reale and Willie Reale’s A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD at The Coterie Theatre. He has appeared in August Wilson’s KING HEDLY ll, TWO TRAINS RUNNING, PIANO LESSON, SEVEN GUITARS and FENCES; Robert O’Hara’s BARBECUE and Lewis Morrow’s LIKE SIX O’CLOCK, to name a few, all with KC Melting Pot Theatre, crafting the soundscapes for these productions, as well. He has also appeared in Lorraine Hansberry’s A RAISIN IN THE SUN and Keenan Scott ll’s THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN, both with The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City. Lewis Morrow
LEWIS MORROW is an actor/playwright from Kansas City, KS who also serves as the Director of New Play Development at KC Melting Pot. He has been on stage here at KCMPT in shows such as 2121, SUNSET BABY, RADIO GOLF, KING HEDLEY II, BAYBRA’S TULIPS, BEGETTERS, MOTHER/son, THE PIANO LESSON, IS GOD IS, WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, SEVEN GUITARS, JAWBONE CRACK QUICK, FENCES, and most recently DEATH OF A SALESMAN. Additionally, KC Melting Pot gave Lewis his directorial debut with THE SESSION by Harvey Williams. Morrow’s plays have been produced or developed in North Carolina, Michigan, Las Vegas, Texas, and shows in 2022 in Indiana and Kentucky. He has published a book titled “Black Matters: Lewis Morrow Plays” which features his trilogy of plays centered around family.

David Brown
DAVID BROWN was born and raised in Kansas City, KS. He started working in recording studios in high school. David attended Kansas State University where he studied Electrical Engineering and Music. After college he began a 20 plus year career in the entertainment industry, doing lighting, sound and video. As a business owner he's consulted and provided services for several schools throughout the KC metro area. He is currently in his 7th year at Leavenworth High School as their technical director. His career has taken him to a variety of stages: concerts, corporate events, theater, churches, film and studios. Theater has always had a special place in his heart, and he loves the opportunities to bring diverse stories to life.

Stacey Herrison
STACEY HERRISON is a Missouri-based costume designer and technician and the current Costume Studio Supervisor for University of Missouri at Kansas City - Conservatory. Stacey holds a BA in Theatre from Henderson State University and an MFA in Costume Design from Texas State University. Their TSU design credits include THE TEMPEST, THE RIVALS, and A CHORUS LINE. Arkansas design credits include DRIVING MISS DAISY, THE PRODUCERS, and RENT at Argenta Contemporary Theatre and GUYS AND DOLLS at Arkansas Repertory Theatre. They have also designed several shows at Burning Coal Theater in Raleigh, NC including CAMELOT, EVITA, A HUNDRED WORDS FOR SNOW, I AND YOU, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, THE LIFE OF GALILEO, MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG and MY FAIR LADY. Stacey received the KCACTF Region 6 Barbizon Award for Excellence in Costume Design for A CHORUS LINE in 2018 and the SETC Graduate Costume Design Award for THE TEMPEST in 2019. staceyherrison.com.
