Director
Lynn KingLYNN KING is a native of Kansas City Kansas and has been performing for Kansas City Audiences for over 30 years. She received her MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and has regional and national credits in theatre, commercials, and film. Lynn is one of the original members of the KC Melting Pot Collective, appearing in their first-ever production of OLD SCHOOL GHETTO GOSPEL, in 2013. Lynn was last seen in ‘NIGHT, MOTHER here at KCMPT. She also stays busy working in other capacities as KCMPT’s Artistic Director - Education. KCMPT provided Lynn with her directorial debut in 2019 and she was privileged to be one of the all-female directors in the 2021-23. Stage Manager
Lillian ManuelLILLIAN MANUEL ([email protected]) is a budding, multi-talented theatre professional in Kansas City. This is her second show at the Melting Pot and was invited back after being the assistant stage manager for the 2025 production of FENCES. She has worked in multiple theatres around town, including the Coterie, the Unicorn, KCPublic, and the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival since graduating from Benedictine College. While she has been focused on house managing and stage managing, she loves acting and costume design, and is working to build those skills.

Costumer
Kelsey HarmsKELSEY HARMS is the Costume Designer for this KCMPT production. Kelsey graduated from Avila University with a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology. Previous costume design works include: DEATH OF A SALESMAN (Directed by Ile Haggins, 2025.) THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE (Directed by Amanda Clark, 2025.) THE LARAMIE PROJECT (Directed by Darren Sextro, 2023.) Over the past few years, Kelsey has achieved a ACTF technical merit for her costume design, THE LARAMIE PROJECT (2023), directed by Darren Sextro, and awarded with the ACTF Regional Scenic Design - Honorable Mention for William Shakespeare's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS (2024), directed by Matt Schwader. Kelsey wholeheartedly thanks her family, peers, and friends for supporting her through all the endless hours she spent towards becoming a future theatre-maker!

Sound Designer
Dennis JacksonDENNIS JACKSON is a Kansas City native. He designed sound for Jackie Sibblies Drury’s FAIRVIEW, James Baldwin’s AMEN CORNER, Brysen Boyd’s FAMILY SIDESHOW at KC Melting Pot Theatre, Dominique Morriseau’s SKELETON CREW at Kansas City Actors Theatre, Douglas Lyon’s CHICKEN AND BISCUITS at The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City, Terrace Wyatt, Jr’s BLACK MAN, MO at Terrace Studios, Kenneth Jones’ ALABAMA STORY and Kate Hennig’s MOTHER’S DAUGHTER at Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, and Robert Reale and Willie Reale’s A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD at The Coterie Theatre. He has appeared in August Wilson’s KING HEDLY ll, TWO TRAINS RUNNING, PIANO LESSON, SEVEN GUITARS and FENCES; Robert O’Hara’s BARBECUE and Lewis Morrow’s LIKE SIX O’CLOCK, to name a few, all with KC Melting Pot Theatre, crafting the soundscapes for these productions, as well. He has also appeared in Lorraine Hansberry’s A RAISIN IN THE SUN and Keenan Scott ll’s THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN, both with The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City. Thanks to Lynn King and this talented cast and crew for the opportunity to, once again, make magic!

Set Designer
Doug SchroederDOUG SCHROEDER is a Kansas native. LONG TIME SINCE YESTERDAY is his nineteenth design for KCMPT. Schroeder received a B.F.A. in technical theater from Emporia State University. In addition to working as the technical director for KCMPT, Doug also is the production manager for the Kansas City Women’s Chorus. He would like to thank his partner Chris Palmer for his assistance with set construction and Linda, Harvey, Melonnie, and Lewis for the opportunity to work on this play.

Light Designer
Warren DeckertWARREN's 50+ years of theatre experience includes being the Artistic/Technical Director for Great Bend Community Theatre, Technical Director/Designer for the Bethel College Drama Department and union membership in I.A.T.S.E., Local 190, Wichita, KS. He has directed or designed over 225 plays, musicals and operas. Highlights include ROAD TO YONDER (Dallas Theatre Center), MAN OF LA MANCHA, COSI FAN TUTTE, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE (Bethel College), BERNICE AT BAY/THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, GIDION’S KNOT, ANY QUESTIONS? (KC Fringe Festival), THE TASTE TEST, FOR COLORED GIRLS… (KC Melting Pot Theatre). He is an assistant house manager/volunteer coordinator at KC Repertory Theatre and a technical director/board member for Just Off Broadway Theatre.
