Lynn King
Lynn King is a native of Kansas City Kansas and has been performing for Kansas City Audiences for over 30 years.  She received her MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and has regional and national credits in theatre, commercials, and film.  Lynn is one of the original members of the KC Melting Pot Collective, appearing in their first-ever production of OLD SCHOOL GHETTO GOSPEL, in 2013. Lynn was last seen in SEVEN GUITARS here at KCMPT. She also stays busy working in other capacities with KCMPT. KCMPT provided Lynn with her directorial debut in 2019 and she was privileged to be one of the all-female directors in the 2021-23. Aalayah Norwood
Aalayah Norwood has worked with companies such as Whim Productions, Rising Tide Productions, and KC Public Theatre! This is her fourth time with KCMPT and is honored to working with them once again as lead stage manager. As an actress in Kansas city, Aalayah loves theatre and tries to stay as active as possible in the community. She graduated with her B.F.A. in Acting from Southeast Missouri State University in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. It was here that she developed her skill in shows such as A RAISIN IN THE SUN and THE THREE MUSKETEERS. Since then Aalayah has performed in SMILE with KC Public Theatre, The-Pop-Up-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named with Rising Tide Productions, and LAST SUMMER AT BLUEFISH COVE with Whim Productions. Aalayah was last seen on the KCMPT stage in JAWBONE CRACK QUICK!

Lillian Manuel
Lillian Manuel is a budding theatre professional in Kansas City. She is a multi-talented individual, with acting, designing, and stage managing skills. She has previous experience in stage management while attending Benedictine College in shows such as FOOLS by Neil Simon in 2021 and THE MOUSETRAP by Agatha Christie in 2022. Since graduating, Lillian has had active parts in multiple theatres, including the Coterie, the Unicorn, KCPublic, and the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival. She assistant stage managed the main show of KCPublic’s Theatre Festival 2024, THE HEAD OF MEDUSA. Lillian would like to thank everyone at KC Melting Pot for taking a chance on her and allowing her to help in this production and she is hopeful to return to the family! She also wants to thank her parents, for encouraging her to follow her dreams, her boyfriend for always supporting her, and her other friends, mentors, and artists in the theatre world, for teaching and encouraging her to continue to improve. Warren Deckert
Warren's 50+ years of theatre experience includes being the Artistic/Technical Director for Great Bend Community Theatre, Technical Director/Designer for the Bethel College Drama Department and union membership in I.A.T.S.E., Local 190, Wichita, KS. He has directed or designed over 225 plays, musicals and operas. Highlights include ROAD TO YONDER (Dallas Theatre Center), MAN OF LA MANCHA, COSI FAN TUTTE, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE (Bethel College), BERNICE AT BAY/THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, GIDION’S KNOT, ANY QUESTIONS? (KC Fringe Festival), THE TAST TEST, FOR COLORED GIRLS… (KC Melting Pot Theatre). He is an assistant house manager/volunteer coordinator at KC Repertory Theatre and a technical director/board member for Just Off Broadway Theatre.

Amber Redmond
Amber Redmond originates from St. Joseph MO, but has called KC home for the past decade. She is a graduate of Missouri Western State University with a B.A.A. in Performance & Cinematic Arts. Amber has been drawn to the arts since a very young age. Her first performances involved forcing her Grandparents to watch her act out the entirety of Walt Disney’s The Little Mermaid (as every character- of course). She has appeared in shows such as DOUBT (RRT), BEGETTERS, SECRETS & LIES, THE PIANO LESSON, FAIRVIEW, IS GOD IS, THE AMEN CORNER, and THE SESSION (KCMPT). Amber is extremely proud to be working with KC Melting Pot Theatre and would like to thank her family and partner for their constant support and encouragement.

Doug Schroeder
Doug Schroeder is a Kansas native. FENCES is his seventeenth design for KCMPT. Schroeder received a B.F.A. in technical theater from Emporia State University. In addition to working as the technical director for KCMPT, Doug also is the production manager for the Kansas City Women’s Chorus. He would like to thank his partner Chris Palmer for his assistance with set construction and Linda, Harvey, Nicole, Melonnie, and Lewis for the opportunity to work on this new play.
