Lewis Morrow (Troy Maxson)
Lewis Morrow is an actor/playwright from Kansas City, KS who also serves as the Director of New Play Development at KC Melting Pot. He has been on stage here at KCMPT in shows such as 2121, SUNSET BABY, RADIO GOLF, KING HEDLEY II, BAYBRA’S TULIPS, BEGETTERS, MOTHER/son, THE PIANO LESSON, IS GOD IS, WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, SEVEN GUITARS and most recently JAWBONE CRACK QUICK. Additionally, KC Melting Pot gave Lewis his directorial debut with THE SESSION by Harvey Williams. Morrow’s plays have been produced or developed in North Carolina, Michigan, Las Vegas, Texas, and shows in 2022 in Indiana and Kentucky. He has published a book titled “Black Matters: Lewis Morrow Plays” which features his trilogy of plays centered around family.
Melonnie Walker (Rose)
Melonnie Walker is a theatre historian, educator and alum of UMKC's Master of Arts program in Theatre History. She is the Associate Artistic Director for KC Melting Pot Theatre and has served as the resident research and production dramaturg for seven seasons.  She is a member of the August Wilson Society and Regional VP for the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas. KCMPT credits include: RADIO GOLF, FUNNYHOUSE OF A NEGRO, KING HEDLEY II, FOR COLORED GIRLS, A RAISIN IN THE SUN,  TWO TRAINS RUNNING, THE PIANO LESSON, FAIRVIEW, THE AMEN CORNER, IS GOD IS,  WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOLF? and SEVEN GUITARS. Melonnie is grateful for her KCMPT theatre family and she is inspired to do the work that preserves and uplifts black theatre history for future generations. 
Jerron O'Neal (Jim Bono)
Jerron is excited to be working with Melting Pot once again! Past KCMPT shows include RADIO GOLF, RAISIN IN THE SUN, AIN’T NO SUCH THING AS MIDNIGHT BLACK, and KING HEDLEY II. Jerron would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support.
Tim Burks (Lyons)
Timothy Burks is a Kansas City native and enjoys acting. He last seen on the KCMPT stage in THE PIANO LESSON. You may also recognize him from other productions like STEALING KANDINSKY (WCFTA), FUNNY HOUSE OF A NEGRO (KCMPT), JFK A GHOSTLY EVENING (KCMPT), GOATS SONG (WCFTA), GRAPES VINE (Inplay) and a few others. He is thankful for any opportunity to create and learn from other great actors we have performing here in Kansas City and glad to a part of this production.
Dennis Jackson (Gabriel)
Dennis Jackson is a Kansas City native. He has learned the craft of live theater by working with some of the best actors and directors in K.C. He most recently appeared in SEVEN GUITARS. He has appeared in local productions of THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN, SEVEN GUITARS, LIKE SIX O’CLOCK, DYING TO PARTY, PIANO LESSON, TWO TRAINS RUNNING, KING HEDLY II, BARBECUE, and A RAISIN IN THE SUN just to name a few. Dennis also passionate about sound design, having often supported the very productions, in which he appears. He has also designed sound for SKELETON CREW, IS GOD IS, FAIRVIEW, BLACK MAN, MO., THE AMEN CORNER, THE SESSION, WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLD?, and SEVEN GUITARS. Thanks to director Lynn King for the opportunity to craft the sound design for this new production. Special thanks to Harvey and Linda Williams.
Terrace Wyatt Jr. (Cory)
Terrace Wyatt, Jr. is a local actor, playwright, director, and producer in Kansas City, MO. Making his second appearance with KCMPT since his debut in IS GOD IS as their male understudy. Graduated with a B.A. in Theater at William Jewell College and has worked full-time on stage since the pandemic. KC credits include: FINDING NEMO (TYA), HORSE POWER: TOM BASS’ AMERICAN STORY, THE LIGHTNING THIEF: THE PERCY JACKSON MUSICAL, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (The Coterie Theatre); THE ROYALE, and PETER PAN & WENDY (KCRep.); THE GRAPES OF WRATH (The Arts Asylum) BOXED (Whim Productions); DREAMGIRLS (New Theatre & Restaurant); A RAISIN IN THE SUN (The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City); SMART PEOPLE (Kansas City Actors Theatre); TONI STONE (The Unicorn Theatre); TITANIC: THE MUSICAL (Music Theatre Heritage); SOMETHING ROTTEN! (The White Theatre at the J), and many more. While working on Fences, he’s been assistant directing with KCRep, for BROKE-OLOGY by Nathan Louis Jackson. Terrace recently remounted his play BLACK MAN, MISSOURI for KC Fr!nge at City Stage in Union Station last summer which received “Best of Venue” and nominated for “Best Play" (Professional) for BroadwayWorld KC Awards. As he continues acting full-time, he’s developing more original works with his production company Terrace Studios, LLC. This is Terrace’s FIRST August Wilson play and he’s honored and blessed and grateful to present 1 out of the 10 Century Cycles of Mr. Wilson’s plays. I wanna thank my family, friends, and God for everything they’ve done for me. God is my therapist when I have no one to go to.
Zionne Dandridge (Raynell)
Zionne Dandridge is 10 years old and is in the 5th grade. She has been in four stageplays with Bees Knees Productions, including the latest stageplay HALL PASS. She is a talented dancer and Captain of Mystic Stormz (dance organization). She also enjoys praise dancing and glorifying God at church, and spending time with her family and friends. She is truly excited and proud to be a part of a KC Melting Pot production! Zionne looks forward to dancing and acting as she grows up!
