Rachel McGrath (Narrator/Africus Noel)
Rachel McGrath is an Ohio native. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care. Her theatrical credits include: A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Boys Next Door, and the musical, It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues. She relishes the freedom that comes with performing on stage. In addition to caring for her family, she's immersed in creative pursuits; the most recent being learning piano, singing, and occasionally machine knitting. Having spent nearly a decade volunteering in various Spanish-speaking communities, Rachel is bilingual. In her mid-twenties she and her husband lived abroad in Chile. This is her inaugural performance with KCMPT. 
Wendy Thompson (Albus Lee)
Wendy Thompson is a long-time resident of Kansas City. She studied with Actor’s Craft Studio in KC and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. She has appeared on area stages in Orphan’s Home Cycle (MET), Movers and Shakers of the Women’s Suffrage Movement (Shawnee Town 1929), The Crucible (MET), and A Streetcar Named Desire (MET). Her film credits include CSA: The Confederate States of America and The Only Good Indian. For many years, she wrote, directed and produced murder mystery comedies with her company, The Mystery Train. She is excited to be back after being in KCMPT’s production of Barbecue.
Jessica Whitfield (Alba Kim)
Jessica Whitfield is a Kansas City actor. She earned her BFA in Theatre from Drake University where she was an Irene Ryan nominee. She has also trained locally with Richard Alan Nichols, Andy Garrison and Heather Laird. She loves being a part of unique plays that make audiences think and feel. She has previously been in Gutterthief, Shapes of Love, Striking Beauty and Beginnings from an End with KC Fringe Festival. She has been seen on the KCMPT stage in Barbecue and the Molière adaption Secrets & Lies. She is excited to return and is having so much fun with this talented cast and crew.
Ruthie Wu (Asiana Naomi)
Ruthie Wu grew up in Columbia, MO. She received her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (Theatre, Theology, and Human Needs Global Resources) from Wheaton College in 2022 and has trained with Andy Garrison at the Actor Training Studio. Ruthie appeared in Johnson and Jonson... and Johnnsonn (KC Screenwriters), Animal Farm, Song of the Unicorn, and Peter Pan and the Starcatchers (Wheaton College), and authored the play Under the Table (KC Public Theatre). She loves how theatre can put actions to feelings that are otherwise difficult to process, creating an experience that reminds people of their shared humanity. This is Ruthie's KCMPT debut.
Areli Gil (Latina Monica)
Areli Gil was born Guadalajara and grew up in Kansas City. She studied theatre at Stephens college and has appeared in several regional theatre productions including; Native Gardens (Unicorn Theatre), Refuge (Unicorn Theater), UBUGME (Coterie Theatre), Bare The Pop Opera (Unicorn Theatre), Once on this Island (Coterie Theatre). Her love for theatre started at the age of 3 when she began performing traditional Mexican Ballet Folklorico. Areli was last seen on the KCMPT stage in The Session. 
Ebonee Grace (Nativa Ruth)
Ebonee was born and raised in KCMO and earned her BA in Theatre from University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She has appeared in Chicken & Biscuits (BRTKC), Fariview (KCMPT), Secrets & Lies (KCMPT), Pass Over (OCTA), 2121 (KCMPT), and the stage readings of Pass Over, Flo, and The Journey (WCA). When not performing, Ebonee works on crew for shows with her last being the Sound Designer for The Virgin Trial (METKC). She joined the family in 2015 and still works as the Administrative Assistant for KCMPT and Just Off Broadway Theatre which she’s held since 2017. Ebonee also became the Social Media Coordinator in 2023. ebonee.carrd.co
