Brandon Cayetano (Horton the Elephant)
Brandon (he/him) is thrilled to be making his Illuminart debut as Horton the Elephant in Seussical. Originally from Minnesota, Brandon moved to New York in November 2022, and has been having the best time ever since. Some of his favorite past performance credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Chip Tolentino), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Victor Grinstead/Neville Landless), Heathers (Ram Sweeney), and Hands on a Hardbody (Jesús Peña). He would like to thank his family and friends for all of their support as he continues to pursue a career in New York.
Randall Scott Carpenter (Cat in the Hat)
Randall was a member of the 2024 Illuminart Summer Touring company and is so jazzed to be back! Prior to his work with Illuminart, Randall most recently starred in a private industry reading for new Goo Goo Dolls musical, HERE IS GONE, as well as originated the role of “Bryan” in the sold out Off Broadway debut of new musical, Relapse.
Maria Lee Vazquez (JoJo)
Maria (she/they) is absolutely thrilled to be playing the role of Jojo in Seussical! She is an actor/writer working hard on short plays and has most recently been seen in Death of a Salesman and Urinetown. Maria would like to give a huge thank you to Sami, Kristi and Laura for believing in her with this beloved character. She also would like to thank her entire cast for showing her all the thinks she can think! Let’s do this thing!
Lexy Vagasy (Gertrude McFuzz)
Lexy Vagasy (Gertrude McFuzz) is so excited to live out her childhood dream role! Regional: Katherine Plumber in Newsies, The Polar Express, Annleigh in We Are The Tigers. She made magic as a Costumer for Disney’s Festival of the Lion King and performed for Disney’s Candlelight Processional, 54 Below, and the Florida Panthers. Eyliza Morciglio (Mayzie La Bird)
Eyliza is thrilled to be her second bird Iliminart. Eyliza is a Brooklyn born actor who has been doing theater since she was a young. Recently she has been in local productions. She is honored to be participating in her another amazing children’s show and is thrilled to be amongst the extremely talented animals today in the jungle she would like to thank her fiance Anthony for always giving all his love and understanding. Finally to her mom, her biggest supporter, for always rolling along and supporting and loving more than humanly possible.
Marisa Albano (Sour Kangaroo)
Marisa Albano is a Staten Island based actress who graduated from College of Staten Island with a major in drama and a minor in American Sign Language. You may recognize her from her most recent roles as Wendy Woodchuck and Others in, “Tortoise and the Hare 2: This Time It’s Personal,” Bella in Anadina Saladino’s “Lysistratas,” and Sally Perks in “PUFFS.” She assistant directed Staten Island Shakespeare’s production of “The Penelopiad,” and last year made her 54 Below debut singing in the cabaret, “Curvy Queens.” She is thrilled and honored to bring the Sour Kangaroo to life (as well as the young kangaroo in her pouch!) She hopes the audience will share her delight.
J. Giachetti (Mr. Mayor & More)
J. Giachetti (b. 1995) is a professional trans actor, Dramatist Guild Playwright and Lyricist, director, arts educator, and avid poet. Some of their previous performance credits have been Orcus in “She Kills Monsters” (2024), The Nurse in “Romeo and Juliet” (2021), Wayne Hopkins in “Puffs” (2021), and Quasimodo in “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” (2018). They are also the Associate Artistic Director, as well as Summer Touring Director, with Staten Island educational theater company IlluminArt Productions.
Margot Bergeron (Mrs. Mayor & More)
Margot Bergeron is an actress, singer, dancer, and model who hails from New Jersey. She graduated from Wagner College with favorite roles Sue Snell (Carrie), and a soloist psychedelic tribe dancer in Hair and Jeannie understudy. She originated the role of biblical Eve in Faith in Shackles for New York Theatre Festival’s Summerfest, and the Slytherin witch Madame Mordred in the regional tour of The Wizards' Brunch for Viral Ventures in Manhattan, NY and Denver, Colorado. She has recently sang at Don't Tell Mama NYC, and will be making her cabaret debut at 54 Below in Manhattan in November! Margot is a member of the Illuminart educational touring company, and was recently seen as Aphrodite in Illuminart’s production of The Greatest Olympian at The Staten Island Playhouse. Margot is also a dedicated yogi and reiki practitioner, studying to be a yoga teacher and for her Reiki 1 certification, and loves vegan food and spending time with nature and animals.
Keivonna Tucker (Bird Girl 2 & More)
Keivonna is a multi-talented performer from Jacksonville, FL. She graduated in 2019 as a proud alumna of Wagner College’s theatre department and has since been featured in two original off-Broadway productions as well as in tv and film. She is ecstatic to be a part of the wonderful cast of Seussical!
Lizzie Matlock (Bird Girl 3 & More)
Lizzie is so grateful to be in her THIRD production of Seussical the musical! Seussical was Lizzie’s first show (when she was 10!) and she loves being in the world of Suess once again! Lizzie is a junior at NYU Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway, where you might have seen her as Anne Page last spring in Merry Wives of Windsor. Lizzie would like to thank Navarre for putting up with these songs for months, and her parents for supporting her in this show once again. She’d also like to thank Oscar for giving her the love of theatre. See you in Solla Sallew!
