Director, Producer
Christiane Olson
After her first season with HMTS last year as assistant director for "Into The Woods," Christiane is delighted to return this year as director and co-producer. Her previous directing and assistant directing experience includes "La Leçon" (Michigan State University), "Once on This Island" (Western Illinois University), "The Lady of Larkspur Lotion" (University of Colorado), and "Amahl and the Night Visitor" (Opera Illinois). She is not only the French teacher at our school, but also a professional actor and singer who has performed regionally in the US and in Paris, France, where she was a soprano soloist for Le 7ème Festival Rimes et Accords featuring the work of Henry Purcell. Favorite roles include Lilli/Kate in "Kiss Me Kate," Titania in "Midsummer Night's Dream," and Laurey in "Oklahoma!," for which she was awarded Best Actress in a Musical by the Lansing State Journal. She spent three seasons as an actor for The Colony, a professional playwright´s conference hosted by the Montana Repertory Theatre, where she connected with many talented artists including Marsha Norman, James McClure, Roger Hedden, and Hamish Linklater. Christiane holds an MFA in Acting and taught Acting, Voice and Introduction to Theater for 6 years at Western Illinois University prior to moving to Connecticut. She is proud of the students involved in this production, and grateful for the production team and parent support!

Music Director, Producer
Thomas Krupa, Jr
Thomas Krupa Jr. is in his second year with HMTS as music director and his first year as a co-producer and is thrilled to be able to work with such a gifted cast! Tom is the music director for Housatonic Valley Regional High School, where he teaches band, chorus, music theory, music technology, Capstone, and jazz band. He is Department Chair for Small Departments in his school, where he supervises teachers in Technology, the Arts, and Physical education and Health. Tom has his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Music Education, and his Sixth Year in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University. He has been teaching high school and elementary music for 19 years. Tom lives in Torrington, CT with his wife BethAnne, 13-year-old son Aiden, and cats: Loki, and Thor. He would like to extend his thanks to his darling wife and son for their endless patience and support throughout this musical journey.

Choreographer
Becky Wilczak
Becky Wilczak is excited to be back in the theater choreographing her first high school musical! Prior to "Mean Girls," Becky worked with FVCT as director and choreographer for "Annie, Annie Get Your Gun," "Willy Wonka," "Madagascar," and "Bye Bye Birdie." Other director/choreographer credits include "Wizard of Oz" and "Cinderella" at Salisbury Central School. In addition to working behind the scenes, Becky loves performing on stage. Some credits include Laurie ("Oklahoma!"), Babette ("Beauty and the Beas"t), Jolene ("Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"), Ariel ("Little Mermaid"), Sister Mary Robert ("Sister Act"), among many others. Becky wants to thank Tom Krupa and Christiane Olson for welcoming her back to HMTS after time away since her high school performances. Love to Eric and Bea for letting Mommy take some time away to get back in the theater! You’ll be up there soon enough, Beatrice!
Assistant Producer
Micah Conway
Micah Conway has been involved in theater since he was three years old, including working as an actor, production assistant, and theater summer camp counselor (and sometimes all three at once). He graduated from Eastern CT State University in May 2022, and started working at HVRHS as a Math Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. He wants to thank Thomas Krupa for reaching out and getting him involved with the Housatonic Musical Theater Society, and both Thomas Krupa and Christiane Olson for helping him adjust to the role!

Judi Moore
Judi Moore has been involved with local theater in Northwest Connecticut in various capacities for the past 50 years. It began with Canaan Little Theater ("Gypsy," "Plaza Suite," "Barefoot in the Park"), Housatonic Valley Regional High School faculty productions ("Cabaret," "South Pacific," "Mame," "Guys and Dolls"), and Oblong Valley Players ("Blythe Spirit," "Arsenic and Old Lace"). Then on to "the big time"- Sharon Playhouse ("Cabaret," "South Pacific"), TriArts ("Footloose," " Divas Do Nashville," " Divas Do Broadway"), and "Divas Do The Best of Divas."

Lighting
Will Nash Broyles
Will is thrilled to return for a second year with HMTS, having designed the lights for "Into the Woods" last year. Most recently he directed and designed "The 39 Steps" at a theatre in South Carolina, and prior to that he was the Stage Manager for "Elf Jr." at the Sharon Playhouse. Will is also an actor, and his favorite credits include Mikey Thomas in "Shear Madness" (Sharon Playhouse), Detective Sergeant Trotter in The "Mousetrap" (Winnipesaukee Playhouse), and Pippin in "Pippin" (Greenbrier Valley Theatre). Many thanks to Mr. Krupa and Ms. Olson for having him back!
Costuming
Kateleen DeAngelis
Kathleen DeAngelis is a native of Lakeville and 2002 graduate of Housatonic, and is excited to return to Housatonic’s stage as costume designer for this year’s production, after designing costumes for "Into the Woods," "Rip Van Winkle: The Musical," "The King and I," "The Drowsy Chaperone," "Chicago," "The Boy Friend," "Hello Dolly!," "Fiddler On The Roof," "South Pacific," "Guys and Dolls," "Greece," "Anything Goes," and "The Sound of Music." A veteran of TriArts Sharon Playhouse’s program as both a costume intern and Costume Shop Manager. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Marist College where she both acted and designed the costumes for "GodSpell" and "The Laramie Project," and served as Costume Designer for "Noises Off." In 2008 Kathleen earned her Master of Arts in Theater from Oklahoma State University where she worked as a Teaching Assistant and Costume Designer for several productions including "Romeo and Juliet," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Beautiful Child," and "Sweet Charity." Most recently Kathleen has designed for River Valley Repertory Theatre on their productions of "Lady Date at Emerson’s Bar and Grille" and "Fat Pig," as well as County Player’s production of "Godspell."

Kate Kovacs
Kate Kovacs is excited to return to her HVRHS, class of 2001, to support theatre and the arts! Past set Design credits include "Into the Woods" at HVRHS, "Drowsy Chaperone" at Taft and "Shrek" at Theatre Guild of Simsbury. Additionally, Kate will be directing two shows next year, one at Sherman Playhouse and "Putnam County Spelling Bee" at TheatreWorks in New Milford. Sound Designer
Graham Stone
Graham Stone is thrilled to return this year as the sound designer for “Mean Girls.” His theatrical sound design work takes him all over the tri-state area and beyond. When not in the theater, Graham operates a full-service recording and music production studio on his property in Austerlitz, New York. He is a platinum-record credited engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and mixer. It is a pleasure to continue to work with the amazing HMTS cast and crew! Elinor Wolgemuth
Ellie Wolgemuth is a sophomore at HVRHS and is excited to be returning to HMTS for a second year. Last year, Ellie was in the backstage crew for "Into the Woods" and ran the lights for "The Unwritten Show." Thanks to a grant from the 21st Century Fund, Ellie enjoyed learning many aspects of putting together shows while working at the Sharon Playhouse last summer as a Production Intern. They hope you enjoy "Mean Girls!"

John Christinat
John Christinat is a technology education teacher at HVRHS who teaches Metals and Graphics. He made his HMTS premiere in 2012 as Captain Brackett. John has assisted with the printing engineering, and design of several of the props and scenery for the show, including our rolling desks with his tech ed students. Thank you, John!

Paul Padua
Paul is a retired technology education teacher who teaches woodworking at HVRHS. Paul and his students are responsible for prefabricating most of our set, as well as specific specialty pieces, such as the day beds and rolling bathroom stalls. Thank you Paul!

Shaun Murphy
Shaun Murphy has been supporting the HMTS crew for several years. He is a skilled carpenter and resides in Canaan, CT.
