The Sound of Music Cast

Riley, a Junior at Hillsboro High School, is very honored to be playing the lead role in our production of The Sound of Music. Riley's parents, Todd and Celia Griffin, have encouraged her to participate in many productions in the past including the Murphy Christmas Show (Ensemble), Beauty and The Beast Jr. (Milk Maid and the Knife), Shrek Jr (Baby Bear), The Paxton Christmas Show (Macy the elf), Mary Poppins Jr. (Jane Banks), By The Bog of Cats (Josie Kilbride), LaComedia’s Shrek (Ensemble), A Christmas Chaos (Uncle Fred, Ghost of Christmas Future), HHS Musical Showcase - Annie Jr. (Annie), The Little Mermaid Jr. (Atina), She Kills Monsters (Farrah The Fairy), Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory (Veruca Salt), The Wizard Of Oz Jr. (The Wicked Witch of The West), The Creature Creeps (Daisy Von Blitzen), Little Shop of Horrors (Dental Assistant and Mrs. Luce), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Toymaker, Factory Worker, Fair Goer), and Little Woman (Amy March).

Jonah is excited to play the role of Captain Georg von Trapp for this production. His parents, Brandon and Jocelyn Leeth, have supported him to participate in many different shows for many years including his Freshman year now. Jonah has previously been in Little Mermaid Jr. (Captain, Chef, and Lagoon animal) Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Grandpa Joe), The Wizard of Oz (Tin Man), Little Shop of Horrors (Mr. Mushnik), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Baron Bomburst), and most recently Mr. Brooke in HHS' production of Little Woman. Jonah is excited and hopeful you will enjoy his portrayal of Captain Georg von Trapp.

Logan, a Senior here at Hillsboro High School, is excited to make The Sound of Music her final production here with us. Her parents Doug and Cathy Savag, have shown unwavering support for her theatrical career. Logan began her theatrical career in fourth grade in her role as Young Coset in our production of Les Miserable. From there Logan has been in many productions inlcluding Into the Woods (Ensamble),  Oklahoma (Dancer), Little Women (Jo March), Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon), The Creature Creeps (Babsy), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Mrs. Beauregard), The HHS Musical Showcase (Liesl), Christmas Chaos (Scrooge/Boy), The Diary of Anne Frank (Anne) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Coggins), The Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow), The Little Mermaid (Flounder), Frozen (Teen Elsa), Mary Poppins (Chimney Sweep/Messanger), Shrek (Storyteller), Beauty and the Beast (Narrator), and Alice in Wonderland (Rose).

Bryson is an 8th grader here at Hillsboro Middle School. This son of Jenifer Watsons, is making his theatrical debut as Friedrich von Trapp in our production of The Sound of Music. 

Aly, the daughter of Mary and Kenneth Nelson and  a senior at Hillsboro High School, is excited to be a part of this production. Some of her previous productions include The Little Mermaid in 2021 (EEL) and Little Shop of Horrors in 2023 (Dental Assistant). Aly hopes you will enjoy her take on Louisa von Trapp in this show. 

Jordan is a 7th grader here at Hillsboro High School and is the son of Brittany Holsinger. While this is his first theatre production, he is very excited to be playing Kurt von Trapp in Sound of Music. 

Lilly is the duaghter of Jessica Mentzer and Jamie Royse. Her only previous show experiance was in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  A freshman at Hillsboro High School, Lilly is excited to play the role of Briggita von Trapp in this production. 

Masie is a 5th grader from Hillsboro Elementary School and the daughter of Brent Kelch and Jill Polstra. Masie is glad to return to another HHS theatrical performance after being in our production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Squirrel), her first and only prior performance. 

Elise is a third grader at Hillsboro High School who has decided to make her theatrical debut in our production of The Sound of Music. Her parents, Tayler and Andrew Dickson, as well as Elise herself, are very excited to see her take on the character of Gretl von Trapp. 

Molly is very eager to be able to play the role of Elsa Schraeder in The Sound of Music. Molly has a vast array of shows she has previously participated in including Oklahoma! (Ensemble), You Can't Take it With You (Prop Crew), Annie Jr. (Tessie), The Little Mermaid Jr. (Seagull/Princess), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Ms. TeaVee), She Kills Monsters (Evil Tina), The Wizard of Oz (Glinda the Good Witch), The Creature Creeps (Makeup Crew), Little Shop of Horrors (Dental Assistant) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Goran),and Little Women (Beth March). This HHS junior hopes you enjoy our production. 

Liam, a Freshman at Hillsboro High School, is making his debut into the world of theatre with his protrayal of Max Detweiler in our production of The Sound of Music. Liam's parents, Lise and Adam Morgan are very excited to see him make this theatrical debut in our show. 

Grady is a Sophomore here at Hillsboro High School. He's had the opportunity to be in many different shows across his high school career including Alice in Wonderland Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., Shrek Jr. Mary Poppins Jr., Frozen Jr, the 2021 HHS Musical Showcase, The Little Mermaid Jr., Willy Wonka, She Kills Monsters, The Wizard of Oz, The Creature Creeps, Little Shop of Horrors, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Little Woman.

Kathryn, a Senior here at Hillsboro High Schoool, has been in many productions thorughout her theatrical career. Her parents, Nancymae and Jeremiah Ogden, are very proud of her for being being able to participate in so many productions. These productions include Oklahoma (Ensemble), A Christmas Chaos (Crew), The Music Man (Pick-a-Little), She Kills Monsters (Monster of Many Faces), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Matilda), Little Shop of Horrors (Dental Assistant), The Creature Creeps (Crew), Little Women (Marmee), Paxton Princess Parade (Mirabel), and Paxton Princess Tea Party (Mirabel).

Anna is a Sophomore here at Hillsboro High School. Her parents, Ann and Mark Mckenzie, are big supporters of Anne's theatrical career and have seen her through many performances including the HHS Musical Showcase, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Creature Creeps, Little Shop of Horrors, and Little Woman. 

Mia, a Senior, is very excited to put on her final performance here at Hillsboro High School. She has been in many different performances throughout her high school career, with the support of her parents Jackie McClain and Jose Mercado, including Little Women, Little Shop Of Horrors, The Creature Creeps, She Kills Monsters, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, HHS 2021 Musical Showcase, Christmas Chaos, and Killing for the Crown. 

Hannah, a Sophopmore, is excited to play her role as Sister Sophia in our production of The Sound of Music. Hannah and her parents "Brett and Tonya Curtis", have supported her in being in many productions including the HHS Musical Showcase, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Little Shop of Horrors, The Creature Creeps, and Little Women.

Liam, a Sophomore at Hillsboro High School, is the son Jeff and Jenna Horick. Liam has been in many productions including Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast , Shrek, Mary Popins, Frozen, The Little Mermaid , Wizard of Oz, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the 2021 HHS Show Case, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Little Shop of Horrors, She Kills Monsters, The Creature Creeps and Little Women.

Kora is excited to be able to be in our production of The Sound of Music. This Hillsboro High School Junior has the full support of her parents Kimberly and Richard McCarty. She has many in many shows previously including the 2021 HHS Musical Showcase, Who Killed the Gingerbread Man, Little Women, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Zane is a Freshmen at Hillsboro High School. His family, including his parents Laura Pickering-Polstra and Jon Polstra, have supported him to participate in many productions. These include Frozen Jr, Mary Poppins Jr, Willy Wonka, The Creature Creeps, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Little Women.

Ciara is a freshman at Hillsboro High School. Ciara has participated in many productions previously including Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Little Shop of Horrors, and Little Women. Her parents, Michelle Kendrick and Christopher Woods, are very excited to see Ciara perform in our production of The Sound of Music. 

This Hillsboro High School Junior is making The Sound of Music his second theatrical performance. His parents Mike and Leah Isaacs, and Jade Workman and Russ Workman, supoorted him during his first production, Hillsboro High Schools Little Woman and are excited to see his performance for our production. 

Luke is a Freshman here at Hillsboro High School. The Sound of Music will be Luke's first performance. His parents, Mychal Harmon and Rita Hensle, are very excited to see his debut performance. 

Kate is a Junior at Hillsboro High School. Some of her previous productions include The Music Man, Annie Jr., and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Her parents, Erin and Homer Holsted, are very proud and excited to see Kate on stage. 

Alli is the daughter of Pat and Tanya Hendrix. This Sophopmore at Hillsboro High School has been featured in many productions including, Little Women (Hannah), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Soldier One), Little shop of horrors, The Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Little Mermaid JR, HHS Musical Showcase (Seahorse), and The Creature Creeps (Crew).

Carys is very excited to be in our production of The Sound of Music. In her freshman year of high school, Carys has been in many productions including, 2019s Paxton Camp, the 2021 HHS Musical Showcase, 2022s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and 2023s Little Shop of Horrors. Her parents, Jodi and Letcher Langston, are excited to see her return to the stage.

Tyler is making The Sound of Music his first performance here at Hillsboro High School. This 7th grader and son of Lindsay and Todd Bender has been in three paxton theatre performances including The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. 

Isabelle is happy to be returning to our Hillsboro High School theatre program. This Hillsboro Sophomore has been in two productions before, those being Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Little Shop of Horrors. Her parents Mikaela Weierman and Brandon Stewart, are very excited for Isabelle to be in this production. 

Alexandra is a Sophomore at Hillsboro High School. The daughter of Jacqueline and Phillip Bailey, Alexandra is excited to expand her experiance in the theatre field. Her previous experiance includes the HHS Musical Showcase - The Little Mermaid (Ensemble) , Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Ensemble), and Little Shop of Horrors (Ensemble).

Gracie is a Sophomore here at Hillsboro High School. She has been in many shows before including the HHS Musical Showcase, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Little Shop of Horrors. This daughter of Mitch and Brittany Boatman, Gracie is excited to be expanding her theatrical career. 

The daugher of Jeff and Jennifer Dunlap and a Freshman at Hillsboro High School, Sydney is excited to be in another production. Her previous shows include Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Cook/Townsperson), Little Shop of Horrors (Stage Crew), and Little Women (Stage Crew). 

Making her theatrical debut, Bailey, a Freshman at Hillsboro High School, is excited to be performing in our prouction of The Sound of Music. Her father James Garrison, is proudly supporting her in this endevour and is excited to see her perform. 

Rylie is the daughter of Shane and Kimberly Ison. This 8th grader at Hillsboro Middle School is making The Sound of Music her first theatrical performance. 

Elana, an 8th grader at Hillsboro Middle School, is having her theatre first with The Sound of Music. The daughter of Sam and Jeannie Kelley, Elana is excited to make this her performing first. 

Alianna is the daughter of Vikki and Terry Mikkelsen. This HHS 8th grader is excited to make our showing of The Sound of Music her first personal production.

Naveriah is the daughter of Scott and Jen Music. We welcome this 9th grader to the stage for their first theatrical performance.

This Freshman from Hillsboro High School is excited to be in another HHS production. Her parents, Nancymae and Jeremiah Ogden, have encouraged her to participate in musicals including Hillsboro High  Schools production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. She has also been in many Elemntary School musicals as well. 

Jaydn, the daughter of Renee Poppaw and Edwin Newman, is making her theatrical debut with The Sound of Music. This 8th grader at Hillsboro Middle School is exicited to perform in this production. 

Brooke, a Freshman at Hillsboro High School, is making her theatrical debut with The Sound of Music. Her parents, Michelle, Mary, Eddy, and Tammy are all very excited to see her perform in our production of The Sound of Music.

Kameron, a Freshman at Hillsboro High School, is exited to make his debut performance in our production of The Sound of Music. His parents, Amy Evers and Nate Osborne are exicited to see Kameron's first performance on the stage. 

Noah, a Senior at Hillsboro High School, is excited to be in our production of The Sound of Music. His parents, Stephanie & Brad Garman, supported in his roll as the Mathlete in Mean Girls and are excited to see him perform now. 

This 8th grader and daughter of Noreen Gibson is excited to join the HHS theatre department for our performance of The Sound of Music. Her only previous experience is 2017s Beauty and the Beast Jr. where she played the Dancing Teacup.
