Johnyah WaldropThis is Johnyah’s directors debut at High Springs Playhouse, and she is so excited for you to enter Camp Half Blood!! Being involved in theatre since she was 5 she has been in numerous productions such as Junie B Jones as Junie B, Little Women as Meg, Romeo and Juliet as Juliet, Pinballs as Carly, Pirates of Penzance as Isabel, while also being very active in her show choir as a dancer. She is beyond blessed to have been able to work with these amazingly talented youth and she is so proud of all of their hard work!

Assistant Director
Elijah MerrittElijah Merritt is a part of Columbia High School’s theatre program and a member of International Thespian Society Troupe 2934. Elijah is 15 but has done theatre for years, most notably playing Johnathan Harker in Dracula, and Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls. For this production, Elijah is learning a new role as Assistant Director, where he has been working diligently to help make this production great!

Stage Manager
Keegan AyersKeagan is a Sophomore at Ft. White High School who is excited to learn a completely new role as stage manager and make-up assistant for this production. She started acting in her school's program as an orphan in The Christmas Carol, and has also been on stage as Chip in Beauty and the Beast Jr., and Young Nala in The Lion King Jr. Keagan is also active in International Thespian Society Troupe 11907 where she has participated in both District Thespy's and One Act Festival competitions.

Tech Operator
Michael Davis“Another Play, Another Slay,” Mikey says. Mikey is really excited to be learning tech for The Lighting Thief. They also have done their fair share of acting in plays at Columbia High School in Lake City and is an active member of International Thespian Troupe 2934. Mikey hopes that you enjoy the show.

Student House Manager
Larry SmithLarry is used to spotlights blinding him on stage, but he has decided to learn an administrative role as the House Manager for this summer production of The Lightning Thief. Larry is a Junior at Columbia High School and is active in International Thespian Troupe 2934. He was last seen as Principal Duvall in Mean Girls -High School Version and as one of the three little piggies in Shrek the Musical.

Joe TraczJoe Tracz is a writer whose work has been seen on Broadway in Be More Chill (with Joe Iconis) and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (with Rob Rokicki; Drama Desk nominee for Outstanding Book). Other credits include the musical Poster Boy (with Craig Carnelia, Williamstown Theatre Festival). TV: Netflix’s Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (Peabody Award recipient; Emmy, Humanitas Prize, and WGA Award nominee) and Dash & Lily, which premiered on Netflix in 2020.
Joe is an alumnus of the Ars Nova Play Group and a former Playwrights Realm writing fellow. He has an BA from Kalamazoo College and an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Tracz was also writer, executive producer and co-showrunner on Netflix’s One Piece and writer on the Disney+ Original series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Composer & Lyricist
Rob RokickiRob Rokicki is a composer and lyricist whose work has been recognized worldwide and nominated for Drama Desk, Lortel and Off-Broadway Alliance awards. Recently signed with Kobalt music, Rokicki is best known for his music and lyrics in the critically acclaimed Broadway show The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical for Theatreworks USA (book by Joe Tracz). The adaptation played off-Broadway in 2017 and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical before launching a national tour across North America 2018-2019. It made its acclaimed West End premiere in 2024.
