The Lightning Thief Percy Jackson Musical Cast

Megumi Boutwell was born in Japan but favors Broadway over kabuki. As a longtime fan of the Percy Jackson books, she’s dreamed of stepping into their world—and now, she finally gets the chance. While this marks her debut in musical theatre, Megumi is no stranger to the stage. She has performed multiple times, singing, playing ukulele, and giving speeches. She’s thrilled to be part of this production and hopes it’s just the beginning of her theatre journey.

Gracie is excited to return to the HSP stage as Annabeth! Her last show with HSP was Wind In The Willows as Badger. She also recently performed in Hairspray Jr at Star Center as Shelley and in the Lion King Jr at FWHS as Nala. An upcoming senior and a member of International Thespian Society Troup 11907, she is excited to see where her career goes from here. Tyrone is a passionate and dynamic performer who loves bringing characters to life on stage. A member of International Thespian Society Troup 11907, he has played Simba in The Lion King Jr and LeFou in Beauty and the Beast Jr. Tyrone brings charisma, humor, and heart to every performance, and is excited to keep growing as both an actor and vocalist.

Being a die-hard fan of the original books, JD is so excited to be a part of this wonderful cast and to play the role of Luke and Gabe! He’s been acting since he was 4 and has appeared in over 12 shows, including The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition as the Wizard, Aladdin Jr. as the Genie (sometimes) and ensemble, and A Christmas Carol as Bob Cratchit, along with even having directed two shows himself! He would like to thank, most importantly, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, his friends, his castmates, and his director for supporting him! He hopes you enjoy your stay at Camp Half Blood!

Sophie is excited to make her debut at The High Spring Playhouse stage! She has recently performed in many cabarets, and loves singing! Her dream role is Regina George in Mean Girls, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Landon is 14 years old and loves theatre and had a passion for performing. He has been in 6 plays and has played roles like Aladdin in Aladdin Jr. and Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz Jr. Landon loves to sing and listen to music, he also likes to play video games and hang out with friends. He is very excited to perform Mr. Brunner and he gives thanks to his family, friends, God, and of course his amazing director!

This is Clara’s 6th show with HSP and she is ecstatic to share the stage with such a talented group of people. Previous roles include: Peter Pan (Peter Pan), Wicked Witch (Wizard of Oz), and Fate 2 (Hadestown). She would like to thank her friends and family for all the support they’ve shown her throughout the process. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Kinley Murray is currently going into 7th grade at Kanapaha Middle School. She has been singing and acting for 3 years. She is excited to make this role her own through creativity and lots of energy.

JB Corley IV is 14 years old and enjoys fishing, theater, storytelling, music, and golf. JB is always sharing stories with a dramatic flair. JB loves making people smile and laugh. He believes that if you are not laughing or having fun, you are missing out on great opportunities. JB had his theater debut in 2021 and continues to enjoy the spotlight! JB is honored to be a part of this fantastic production & talented cast. JB is very thankful for the continued love and support of his directors, cast, friends and family, and gives God all the glory!

This is Reagan’s first show. She loves to perform and is passionate about dance and voice. She is excited to expand on her experience in acting in this musical. She graduated from high school this past year, and hopes to continue her journey in performing arts as she attends college and beyond. She would like to thank her parents and her aunt and uncle for their support, her sister and her cousin Megumi, and Johnyah for her kindness and this opportunity.

Kaylee is super excited to be a part of the High Springs Playhouse’s production of The Lightning Thief! She recently played the role of Jasmine (understudy) in Aladdin. She enjoys reading and writing and is so thankful to all of her friends and family for their continual support. Glory to the Lord!

Benjamin Ayers is a 10 year old fourth grader at Fort White Elementary school. He fell in love with the theater last summer when he played the Mayor of Munchkinland in The Wizard of Oz. He has a passion for performing and is so excited to perform as Hades for you.

Ivan Tulla is a rising fourth grader. He loves musical theater and has played roles in Little Mermaid Jr. (Star Center Theater), School House Rock (Hippodrome Theater), and Aladdin Jr. (2nd Act Productions). In addition, Ivan plays the violin and piano and sings with the Gainesville Youth Chorus. He is very excited to be part of the cast for Percy Jackson Musical and wants to thank his parents, the directors, and the cast members for a wonderful experience.

This is Erin Gwaltney’s first show at the High Springs Playhouse. She’s been involved in musical theatre since she was 6 years old and she loves being on stage. She has enjoyed playing roles in Annie, Finding Nemo Jr, The Jungle Book, and A Christmas Carol. She is so excited to perform in Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief and is so thankful for the opportunity to work with this talented cast.

Aileen is an 8th grade student at Fort Clarke. This is Aileen's seventh production she has been in and she is excited to share it with you all! As well as participating in theater, Aileen is an avid singer, attending many recitals and lessons. Aileen would like to thank her family for making theater possible for her, as well as always being there to support her, along with her friends.

This is Shelby’s first time being a part of a stage performance. She is a thirteen year old who has a passion for music and Percy Jackson. Shelby has always had an interest in theater and musicals, and is very excited to be a part of something so important to her. She would like to thank her siblings, friends, family, and Brian. She would also like to personally thank her best friends Andy and Molly, for everything they do for her.

Emma Clifford is honored to be a piece in a production of one of her favorite book series. Recently cast in The Little Mermaid Jr. as Ursula and in the Hippodrome’s Teen Spotlight Cabaret, her ever-growing love for the theatrical arts has thrived in every show she’s in. She offers a special thank-you to her family, who have sacrificed so much time and money to allow her passion to grow. Love you so much!
