Macbeth Cast
Rafael Griso (Macbeth)Rafa has just finished his second year of HSPS at Pembroke College and is looking to pursue acting after university. He has played a variety of leading roles in Cambridge, in plays such as The Effect (2024), Being Friends (2024), and The Normal Heart (2024). He is looking forward to his first touring role, which he sees as a fruitful challenge and hopefully the first of many in a career of performing.
Amie Brian (Lady Macbeth)Amie is a finalist studying English at Pembroke College, and throughout her time at Cambridge, she has loved being involved in all aspects of creating theatre – writing Negotiating with the Dead (2024), assistant directing Dancing at Lughnasa (2024), and acting in ten shows, including playing Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (2024) and Helen Ludlow in The Welkin (2023). Amie believes Lady Macbeth’s biggest mistake was relying on a man to get the job done. She is excited to begin an MA in Creative Writing this Autumn, and continue to follow her creative passions in theatre!
Ben Sibald (Macduff)Ben has just graduated from studying Theology at Fitzwilliam College.
He’s hugely excited to be playing Macduff. A fun fact about Ben is that
he can juggle on a unicycle; Ben hopes that Maisie will incorporate that
into her medieval Scottish vision. He is excited to continue his experience acting after playing William in A Day in May (2024).
Tabby Maclachlan (Witch; Angus; Murderer)Tabby has just completed her third year of Veterinary Medicine at Queens’ College. Alongside her studies she has loved being involved in Cambridge theatre and has performed throughout her time at university. She is delighted with the opportunity to perform as a Witch, Angus and Murderer in her favourite Shakespeare play and is particularly looking forward to visiting Salem, having recently performed as Mary Warren in The Crucible (2024).
Daisy Bates (Witch; Seyton; Murderer)Daisy is a second-year English student at Robinson College, and has acted in
various productions throughout her time at Cambridge, including playing Julia in in The Two Gentleman of Verona (2024) and Herodias in Salome (2024). She tends to get typecast as evil women, so Witch is a natural progression. When she’s not casting spells, she’s probably eating a Jaffa Cake or taking a cast BeReal (everyone say ‘thank you, Daisy!’).
Kate Woodman (Witch; Ross; Fleance)Kate is a first-year student studying Education and is so excited to be involved in Macbeth! Kate has taken part in shows at Cambridge such as The
Chaplain (2024) and Sweet Charity (2025) and directed The Witch is Back (2025). She has also enjoyed delving into the world of TV and film with her
favourite role being “Louise” in The Count of Monte Cristo (2024) directed by Bille August. She hopes to pursue a career in the arts after her graduation.
Hector Day Lunn (Banquo; Mentieth)Hector has recently graduated from studying English at Fitzwilliam College. He’s excited to be playing Banquo (and Menteith!), continuing his fascination of performing Shakespeare, following his role as Alcibiades in Timon of Athens earlier this year. Despite being a black belt in karate, Hector has discovered that stage combat does not come
naturally to him.
Leo Kang Beevers (Duncan; Porter; Caithness)Leo is in his third year studying English at Clare College, Cambridge. His recent roles include Valentine in The Two Gentlemen of Verona (2024), Reverend Hale in The Crucible (2024), and Alexander in A Severed Head (2025). He has also acted in two student-written plays by Eve Connor and Ahana Banerji, as well as his own short play ‘WULFBOX’ (2025). He is super excited to go to the U.S., and he plans on eating six to seven deli sandwiches, should our schedule allow it.
Lauren Akinluyi (Lennox)Lauren is a second-year English student and has performed in several productions during her time at Cambridge, most recently as Tina in Sister Act (2024) and Othello in Othello (2024). After graduation next year
Lauren is looking to complete an MA in the dramatic arts, as she hopes to pursue a career as a professional actress. She has thoroughly enjoyed
the rehearsal process for Macbeth, exploring all of the nuances of her character and is thrilled to be playing this role.
Jacob Coughlan (Malcolm)Jacob is delighted to be playing Malcolm in this year's CAST production of Macbeth. He is a second-year Education student and has been involved with a variety of plays and musicals in his time at Cambridge, such as Othello (2024), Sister Act (2024), and Sweet Charity (2025). Jacob is also this year's CAST Co-Tour Manager and is
excited to take this (insanely wild!) tour to the States with such an incredible company.
