About Railway Children

Written in 1906, E. Nesbit’s cherished children’s novel, The Railway Children, is a tale of responsibility, family, and an exploration into the English class system.

Roberta, Peter, and Phyllis are uprooted from their middle-class life in London when their Father is wrongly convicted of spying. Left penniless, their Mother is forced to move beside a railway line in rural Yorkshire.

This is a delightful tale of community, family, and imagination!
