Kristie has been creating, performing and teaching professional, empowering theatre for children and adults since 1997. As a physical theater artist in Chicago, she was the supervisor and performer with the Big Apple Cir-cus Clown Care Unit for almost a decade, where she brought circus arts and improvisational theater to bedsides and waiting rooms at children’s hospitals and elderly facilities. She has led workshops with nursing staffs and medical residents at several Chicago hospitals on how the skills of interactive performers can directly translate to the medical pro-fession to bring about a more positive patient relationship. Kristie is also the recipient of the Oprah Winfrey Civic Leadership Award, which honored her work in creating theater that nurtures and serves the community. Kristie is native to central Ohio but spent two decades working professionally in Chicago theaters and across the country as a performer and teaching artist with an emphasis on comedy, improvisation and clown theater. She was a founding member of the highly acclaimed arts edu-cation company, Barrel of Monkeys and was an ensemble member with the Neo-Futurists Theater Company for nearly a decade. Locally, she has worked with CATCO, Available Light Theatre and Project Murder Mystery. Kristie is also Nurse Nee Nee with the Good Medicine Specialists. Tara is an arts administrator from Gahanna, Ohio. She first became involved with Good Medicine in 2016 when she stalked Kristie at Java Central and ran her down and begged to be the intern for the inaugural year of Uptown Scrooge. She received her bachelor's in theater from Otterbein University and has worked at various arts organizations such as Otterbein University, Ohio Prison Arts Connection, and the Ohio Arts Council. Big thanks to her dog Whitney, the light of her life, her parents, and sisters. This is Niki's first year with Uptown Scrooge but her third year with Good Medicine and the wonderful Kristie Vuocolo. She is so grateful to have found such an amazing boss, director, and friend. She is grateful for her kids who are helping out with Uptown Scrooge.
