Anne of Green Gables - The Musical Cast

Summer Sweet (Anne Shirley)
Summer Sweet is eighteen years old and a senior at Fresta Valley. You may remember her from her titular role of Penny in Fresta's production of "Don't Take My Penny!" back in November. She has participated in Fresta's Drama Club for the past seven years, with this being her thirteenth and final production here. In addition to drama, Summer serves as president of the National Honor Society chapter and on the student council, plays on the varsity soccer team, and practices the piano incessantly. A huge thank you goes out to Mr. Brent Croushorn, Mrs. Ana Smith, Mrs. Rachel Dodson, Miss Lily VanBrocklin, and Mrs. Diane King. We wouldn't be here without you.
Alyssa Freidline (Marilla Cuthbert)
Alyssa Freidline is 17 years old and a Junior at Fresta Valley. This is her first musical production with Fresta. This year, she has participated in volleyball, basketball, and soccer. Outside of Fresta, she has also appeared in musicals Legally Blond, Annie, and Matilda. Alyssa enjoys baking for her friends and family, playing her guitar, and going to the movies. She would like to give a special thanks to her family for supporting her in all of her endeavors ♡!
Brayden Hamilton  (Matthew Cuthbert )
Brayden is a junior. He has been at Fresta for 6 years, and he’s been in numerous productions. Recently you may have seen him as Harry in "My Fair Lady" and Mark Pringle in "Don’t Take My Penny." Brayden also participates in soccer and basketball. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, riding dirt bikes, and working. He wants to thank Mrs. King for directing the show and Ms. Dodson for writing this bio. He hopes you enjoy the show.
Brianna Worsham (Diana Barry )
Brianna is a junior at Fresta and has been attending since preschool. She has been in many different shows in her years at Fresta but never in a lead role before. When Brianna is not in a show, she can be found on the field playing soccer or on the court playing basketball or volleyball. She also enjoys doing anything outside. She would like to give a big thanks to Mrs. King, Ms. VanBrocklin, Rachel Dodson, Mr. Croushorn, and Mrs. Smith for making this show possible.
Rebekah Waltz (Rachel Lynde )
Rebekah Waltz is a sophomore who has been in eight of Fresta's previous productions and was last seen in "Don't Take My Penny". Rebekah is active in many of Fresta's activities including the competitive speech team, the advanced orchestra, the JV volleyball team, and the varsity swim team. Outside of school, she competes on a year-round swim team. Rebekah would like to thank Mrs. King, Miss VanBrocklin, and Mrs. Smith for all the time and dedication they have put into this production to make it happen.
Jackson Bohannon  (Gilbert Blythe)
Jackson Bohannon (Gilbert Blythe) is a 9th grader who has been attending Fresta Valley Christian School for eleven years. He enjoys extra-curricular activities such as soccer, basketball, baseball, and choir. During his free time, Jackson enjoys playing his guitar. This is his fourth production, and he is excited to perform his role in "Anne Of Green" Gables. He has previously performed in "Humpty Dumpty is Missing" as The Handsome Prince, "An Outlaw’s Tale" as a narrator, and "Don’t Take My Penny" as Harrison Day.
Ruth Munch (Miss Stacy )
Ruthie Munch is a junior and has been participating in the drama program at Fresta since her first middle school show in 2020. Of the seven shows she has been a part of, her favorite was "Fiddler on the Roof," when she played the role of Chava. Outside of drama, Ruthie enjoys extracurricular activities including piano, soccer, speech and debate, and singing on the praise and worship team. She is a huge bookworm, an enthusiastic writer, and a passionate singer (which is part of why she enjoys musicals so much)! Ruthie also loves spending time with her family and friends. She appreciates that drama is a great opportunity to connect students of all grade levels. She would like to thank Mrs. King for faithfully directing the drama program, Miss VanBrocklin for choreographing this year, Rachel Dodson for pulling together all of the costumes, and the wonderfully talented musicians for playing the music for the show. Ruthie is very excited to bring the role of Miss Stacy to life, and she hopes you enjoy the show!
Izzy Mosley  (Josie Pye)
Izzy Mosely (Josie Pye) is a seventh grader, and this is her second year at Fresta Valley. She does swim team, middle school speech, orchestra, and choir. She spends most of her free time reading books, but also greatly enjoys being a part of this year’s Anne of Green Gables musical. She is grateful for the helpful advice and instruction from Mrs. King, Mrs. Smith, and Ms. VanBrocklin and hopes to be a part of future productions.
Grace Rios  (Mrs. Barry)
Grace is in the eighth grade. This is the first musical she has done with Fresta Valley. She has been in two other plays at Fresta Valley. She likes to play volleyball and basketball. Grace would like to thank Mrs. King for everything she does.
Malise Dean  (Mrs. Pye)
Malise Dean is sixteen years old and a Junior here at Fresta Valley. She has been attending Fresta for five years, and this is her first time performing in a Fresta Drama Club production. When not on the stage, Malise has played in all the sports Fresta has to offer. Outside school, Malise enjoys the beach, spending time with her dog Addie, and listening to music. She would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. King and Miss V.
Anatalia Melendez (Mrs. MacPherson)
Anatalia is on her third fresta production, she especially enjoys the camaraderie and memories made this year. She was previously a stage manager for "Don't Take My Penny!" and hopes to do many more plays onstage and backstage. She would like to thank Rachel, Mrs. King, and Ms. VanBrocklin for making this possible and her family for supporting her.
Abi Hathaway (Mrs. Sloane)
Abi Hathaway is a sophomore in high school, and this is her second show here at Fresta. She enjoys playing sports, especially volleyball and gymnastics. Abi wanted to be a part of the musical this year because of how fun it was last year. She wants to thank Mrs. King and Ms. VanBrocklin for all the time and effort they put into the dance choreography & blocking to bring the musical to life. Abi also wants to give a big thank you to Mrs. Smith for the time she took with the cast to learn and perfect each song.
James Singhas (Mr. Philips )
James is a sophomore and has attended Fresta since kindergarten. This is his second spring musical, and he hopes everyone enjoys the show. James would like to extend a special thanks to his parents for letting him do the musical, Mrs. King for taking the time to direct the musical, and Ms. Vanbrocklin and Mrs. Smith for teaching choreography and music. Ethan Rios  (Earl )
Ethan Rios, a Fresta Valley Christian School senior known for his basketball court playstyle, surprises friends by auditioning for the spring musical. Under the mentorship of director Mrs. King, Ethan dives into acting. Grateful for the opportunity, he waits for opening night, thanking Mrs. King and supporters for their encouragement.
Hudson DePoy  (Cecil)
Hudson DePoy is in 9th grade and his sixth year at FVCS. "Anne of Green Gables" will be his seventh drama production at Fresta Valley. His all-time favorite production is playing one of the sons in "Fiddler on the Roof". He enjoys playing baseball, video games, and the guitar. He is looking forward to having roles in future productions. He wants to thank Mrs. King and Ms. VanBrocklin for giving him the opportunity to perform in these drama productions.
Ava Mosley  (Mrs. Spencer)
Ava Mosley (Mrs. Spencer) is a freshman. This year is her second year at Fresta Valley. She plays soccer and swims. She wants to thank Mrs. King and Ms. VanBrocklin for all their hard work directing and planning choreography. Ava was last seen in Fresta's production of "My Fair Lady". She will not be returning to Fresta Valley next year and is sorry to be unable to join the drama club there again.
Isabella Castellucci (Lucilla )
Isabella Castellucci is a 16-year-old junior. She has been in "Jimmy Valentine" (ensemble), "Hello Dolly" (ensemble), "The Egg and I" (reporter), "Fiddler on the Roof" (ensemble), "Belles on Their Toes" (Mother), "My Fair Lady" (singing maid/ascot ensemble), and "Don’t take my Penny" (Sally). She plays varsity volleyball and soccer and enjoys spending time with her family. She’d love to thank her parents for always driving her to and from practices and putting up with production week. She’d also like to thank her siblings for supporting her until they were old enough to join her. And last but certainly not least, Mrs. King for the trust and faith she had in her abilities during the shows she has participated in.
Diem Sandwell (Mrs. Blewett )
Diem is a 16-year-old 11th grader. She has been in many shows and some musicals for Fresta Valley. The shows and musicals include "Don’t Take My Penny", "The Unexpected Reformation of Jimmy Valentine", "My Fair Lady", and "Fiddler on The Roof". Her hobbies are dancing, singing, and drawing. She'd like to give shoutouts to her family and many of her teachers for encouraging her to do drama. She's been able to join these fun and wonderful productions because of them. Diem would also like to give shoutouts to Ms. VanBrocklin, Mrs. King, Mrs. Smith, and Rachel Dodson for making drama club even more enjoyable for everyone involved!
B.J. Munch (Stationmaster)
Benjamin Munch (Stationmaster) is a student at Fresta Valley Christian School and has been in multiple shows including "An Out-of-the-Box Christmas" as Dusty, "Save our Scoops" as Gary the Cameraman, "The Unexpected Reformation of Jimmy Valentine" as Warden, "Hello Dolly!" as one of the dancing waiters and townspeople, and "My Fair Lady" as Zoltan Karpathy. He enjoys collecting insects whenever he can and writing SQL commands in Oracle.
Summer Nolan  (Ensemble)
Summer Nolan is sixteen years old and a junior at Fresta Valley. This is her first musical production at Fresta, although she had a role in the middle school play "Save Our Scoops". Summer is heavily involved in Fresta Athletics, as she plays basketball, soccer, and volleyball. She also participates in boxing outside of school. She loves to draw in her free time and is a commissioned artist (currently accepting commissions). She wants to say a special thank you to her family for supporting her in everything she does ♡.
Emma Prather (Ensemble )
Emma Prather is a sophomore who is thrilled to be a part of the ensemble in this spring's musical production of "Anne of Green Gables"! Last year, Emma was also in the ensemble for the spring musical "My Fair Lady". Outside school, she enjoys knitting, reading historical fiction, and singing! Emma wants to thank Mrs. King for putting together this musical and everyone who put time and effort into this show. She also wants to thank her parents for being so supportive.
Sydney Castellucci (Ensemble)
Sydney is in 9th grade this school year. She has been in many Fresta plays including, "Fiddler on the Roof", "My Fair Lady", and "Don’t Take My Penny". She is on the volleyball team in the fall and the soccer team in the spring.
Melanie Yakel (Ensemble)
Melanie Yakel is a senior finishing up her thirteenth year at Fresta Valley. This is her second musical, she participated in "Hello Dolly!" back in 2021. Besides drama, Melanie enjoys basketball, piano, and serving on Student Council. She would also like to thank everyone who has poured time and energy into this show and hopes everyone enjoys it as much as she does.
Keegan Lambert (Minister )
Keegan Lambert (Minister, Adult Ensemble) is an eighth grader who has attended Fresta Valley since the beginning of this school year. He was last on stage in the middle school production "Orphan Trains" in January. Keegan also participates in most school events except sports. Yet, he is excited about this production and future opportunities. And thanks for everyone's hard work to put this together.
Ty Ledbetter (Ensemble)
Ty Ledbetter is a senior, and this is his first production on stage. Previously, Ty played in the pit orchestra for a few years. He participates in soccer, basketball, and baseball.
Aubrey Kerschner (Ensemble)
Aubrey Kerschner is 14 years old and in 8th grade, and this is her first time ever doing drama. She enjoys playing volleyball, basketball, and soccer as extracurricular activities after school. She wants to especially thank her parents because without them none of this would be possible.
Lily Demember (Ensemble)
Lily Demember is in 8th grade. She has been in three productions: "My Fair Lady", "Orphan Trains", and the summer production of 2021 "Promise U". Throughout her middle school years, Lily has been in the high school choir, middle school speech, and piano lessons. She also played volleyball, basketball, and soccer for Fresta. In her free time, Lily enjoys writing songs, watching her baby sisters, and practicing shotgun, rifle, and archery for competitions with her shooting league. Lily has always wanted to have a musical future in acting, singing, or both.
Grayson Sweet (Moody MacPherson)
Grayson Sweet is thirteen years old and an eighth grader at Fresta Valley. This is his second year participating in Fresta's Drama Club, appearing in four other shows. Most recently, you may have seen him in the role of Monsieur Henri in "Don't Take My Penny!" back in November. In his spare time, Grayson loves to play video games, swim, and play tennis. He would like to thank Mrs. King for being such a great director and the moms who kept the cast, crew, and pit-fed during the week. We would have turned into savages without you.
Alivia Clay  (Ruby Gillis)
Alivia Clay (Ruby Gillis) is in 8th grade. "Anne of Green Gables the Musical" is her 7th performance at Fresta. She’s played Marlena in "Orphan Trains" (January 2024), Joanna in "Don’t Take My Penny" (Fall 2023), Susan in "Estherordinary Faith" (June 2023), was one of the Cockneys in "My Fair Lady" (May 2023), a narrator in "An Outlaw’s Tale: The Good, the Bad, and the Downright Lazy" (January 2023), and Mary in "Belles on Their Toes" (Nov 2022). Alivia is also part of the Speech and Debate team, plays soccer and basketball, and plays violin in the orchestra.
Biana Thanki (Minnie Mae Barry)
Biana Thanki is in 8th grade. She participates in middle school speech and soccer. Some of her favorite things to do are to read, write, play video games, and hang out with friends. This is Biana's second time in a musical at Fresta.
Teagan Sliffe  (Prissy Andrews)
Teagan Sliffe (Prissy Andrews), an 8th grader, has attended Fresta Valley since 7th grade. When she's not rehearsing for a musical, you can usually find her playing goalie for her ice hockey team or Fresta's soccer team. Teagan would like to THANK her friends & family, cast & crew, Ms. VanBrocklin & Mrs. King!!
Ben Singhas (Charlie Sloane)
Ben (Charlie Sloan) is an 8th grader and has attended Fresta since preschool. Ben enjoys reading and spending time with friends. He wants to give a special thank you to his family for their encouragement. One last thank you to Mrs. King, Ms. VanBrocklin, and Mrs. Smith for dealing with him for the past Wednesdays. Reagan Bornfeld (Gertie Pye)
Reagan Bornfeld (Gertie Pye) is new to Fresta and is in seventh grade. She is excited to be a part of her first musical at Fresta. She participates on the swim team and in middle school speech and drama. She would like to thank Fresta for being so welcoming and kind to her.
Harrison Bohannon (Tommy Sloane)
Harrison Bohannon (Tommy Sloane) is a twelve-year-old seventh grader who has been attending Fresta Valley Christian School for eight years. He plays baseball, basketball, and soccer. "Don’t Take My Penny" was his first play, and he also participated in the middle school drama, "Orphan Trains". He sings in the choir at school and is excited to be one of the pupils in "Anne of Green Gables".
Baylie Worsham  (Ensemble )
Baylie is an 8th grader who loves sports and the outdoors. This is Baylie’s second play. Her first ever real play was last year. She has also participated in the summer drama camps at Fresta. She cannot wait to perform this year!
Katherine Heenan  (Ensemble )
Katherine is an 8th grader. This is her first year at Fresta. She enjoys spending time with her family and dog, June. She looks forward to performing in her first musical. Thank you to Ms. VanBrocklin and Mrs. King for all their hard work.
Lexi Hathaway (Ensemble)
Lexi is an 8th grader. This is her second musical with Fresta Valley. She likes to do gymnastics and play volleyball. Lexi would like to thank Mrs. King for everything she does.
Gloria Williamson  (Ensemble)
Gloria is in 8th grade and is very excited to be in the spring musical. You may have seen her in the past as Lillian Gilbreth in last year's fall play, "Bells on their Toes", or as Bonnie the Clyde in last year's middle school play, "An Outlaw's Tale". You would have also seen her in this year's middle school play, "Orphan Trains," and the fall play, "Don't Take My Penny". Gloria has been attending Fresta since second grade. She loves music and sports. This year was Gloria's 3rd year being on Fresta's middle school volleyball team and she is currently on the middle school girls' soccer team. Gloria also enjoys playing the cello with Mrs. Smith in the orchestra. Gloria would like to thank everyone who helped to make this show possible.
Sophia Chilbert (Ensemble)
Sophia Chilbert is a seventh-grade student who enjoys soccer, art, and theater. Sophia participates in middle school drama and middle school speech. This is her first time being in a middle and high school musical production. Sophia has previously been in the drama camp and this year's middle school play.
Emma Castellucci (Ensemble)
Emma is in the seventh grade here at Fresta. She loves playing soccer. This is her first play at Fresta Valley. She would like to thank Mrs. King, Ms. VanBrocklin, and Mrs. Smith for encouraging her to participate in this musical.
