Page to Stage is a 13 year collaboration with Mesquite Elementary Students.  Each year, students from Mesquite, grades K-5, write original stories and poetry to submit for our show.  The students of Empire Theatre's Drama 2 class, adapt the stories into original plays. The drama students get the opportunity to write, direct, and act in the shows.  This has been a fun collaboration that has come full circle because now some of the student writers or audience members are in the theatre program and performing in the show.  Tonight you will see original shows about magic pencils, dragons, unicorns, talking bears, farting robbers, buff hamsters, and more!

Empire Theatre is an award winning theatre department.  Over the past 15 years, Empire has earned countless awards at regional, state, and national competitions.  The theatre department has won state championships for One-acts and Mainstage shows, and are continually one of the top 5 theatre programs in the state of Arizona.
