Empire High Theatre Department is an award winning theatre program and has been continually named one of the top high school theatre programs in the state of Arizona.  Some of their accomplishments include winning over 200 superior awards in regional, state, and national competition over the past 15 years.  They have also won several one-act championships at the regional and state levels, including a state championship in 2022-2023.  In 2017 and 2019 they were named the #1 Theatre program in southern Arizona.  In 2021 they received the Governor of Arizona's Proclamation for Theatre In Our Schools Day.  In 2022, they were awarded best High School Musical in Tucson at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards: Monte Awards, for the second time in the school's history.  And last year, they won Best Director and Best Creative Elements for a Musical, from the Monte Awards.  They continually earn Superior Theatre Program and Gold Performance Standard by the AZ Thespians.  With an array of talent present in every show, all are welcome and encouraged to attend a production put on by this superior high school theatre program.
