Godspell Jr. Cast

Lauren is a junior at Hazleton Area Arts and Humanities Academy where she studies Communication arts. She’s been doing theatre for 6 years and dance for 13 years. She was most recently seen as Janis in Mean Girls Jr at DMPW. Some of her favorite roles include Race in Newsies Jr, Urleen in Footloose, and Wickersham in Seussical Jr. Lauren also loves to play piano and sing. This is her second time doing Godspell and she cannot wait to perform again.

Ruth Huey is an 10th grade student at Commonwealth Charter Academy (CCA) cyber school. She has been involved with theater since she was 7 years old. She takes dance classes with Drama in Motion and performs theater with both Drama in Motion and PTPA. She was most recently seen on stage during the first weekend of PTPA’s murder mystery Curtains and before that Shrek Jr. with Drama in Motion. Ruth’s next show will be Jesus Christ Superstar at PTPA presented by Drama in Motion. Ruth would like to thank the cast and directors of Godspell Jr. for this opportunity and hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Kailyn MacCollum is an 8th grade honors student at Maple Manor Elementary/Middle School. Her most recent featured role was Glinda the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz at Nuremberg Community Players. A few of her other favorite roles: Clarice in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer the Musical (NCP), Herb in Godspell (NCP), Gil in Finding Nemo Jr. (DMPW), Bird Girl/Wickersham in Seussical (DMPW), Alice in Matilda the Musical (DMPW), Jane Banks in Mary Poppins Jr. (NCP), Young Elsa in Frozen Jr. (DMPW) and Simba in Lion King Kids (PTPA). Kailyn is part of the DMPAS Motion Makers competition dance team under the direction of Joelle Witner and Cali Solarek. Kailyn enjoys taking ballet lessons and participating in the Nutcracker with Phyllis Colombo. She is also president of both Student Council and the Community Service Clubs and is a member of NJHS. Kailyn participates in Book Club, Ecology Club, Drama, History Club, PJAS, Spirit Club and SADD at school. Next year Kailyn is excited to attend the Hazleton Area Arts and Humanities School in the area of Drama. Kailyn and her family extend a big Thank You as always to the DMPW family for giving Kailyn the opportunity to be part of this awesome cast and fun production.

Kylee is in 8th grade at Holy Family Academy where she is a honor student. She is President of Student Council and a member of NJHS. Kylee was last seen as the Snow Queen in the Nutcracker 🩵 and Pinocchio in Shrek Jr. She is on the competition team Motion Makers Senior at DMPAS. Kylee would tell you that dancing and singing are very much her favorite things to do. She also would like to say thank you to 🩷Joelle and Calli for all their support. She is super excited to be apart of Godspell with all her friends.

Savannah is a 7th grade student at Valley Elementary Middle School. She was most recently on stage for a Broadway Cabaret show where she sang Tomorrow and Defying Gravity. She loves singing, the theater and musicals. Some of her favorite roles have been Hellen Keller in the Miracle Worker, Robin in Godspell, Rudolph in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer the musical, and Michael Banks in Mary Poppins Jr. In her spare time she lives singing, playing Fortnite, and watching Korean Drama with her grandmother. She wants to thank her family and friends for all their support and encouragement, and also to all who support their local theaters. She hopes you enjoy the show.

Lily Youngcourt is 12 years old and a 7th grade student at Freeland Elementary Middle School. Lily has been acting since she was 6 when she was cast as Molly in PTPA’s Annie. Since then, she has been performing in shows such as Frozen Jr and Newsies with DM Performance Works. Lily takes dance with DM Performing Arts Studio and is a member of the competition team. In her spare time, Lily enjoys hanging out with friends and reading. Lily is excited for this show and hopes everyone enjoys it!

Nikki is 13 years old and in 7th grade at Crestwood. She most recently landed a lead role as Gretl in the Sound of Music. She was also young Kangaroo in Seussical, young Anna in Frozen, and Michael in Peter Pan with DM Performance Works. Nikki loves dancing with Drama in Motion and spending time with her friends and family. She is very excited to take on this role and be with her friends.

Stephen is a 5th grader at McAdoo Kelayres Middle School where he is an honor roll student. He is a member of the advanced band playing trumpet. Stephen is also active with his church youth group. Stephen's previous plays include Matilda, Legally Blonde Jr. and Moana Jr with the PTPA. This is his first performance with DMPW. He thanks his parents, grandparents and brother for supporting him. Stephen hopes you all enjoy the show!

Yana is a dancer at DMPAS Drama in Motion where she does Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Theater. She had done it for 4 years. She has most recently been in The Nutcracker 2023. She loves to watch movies and eat ice cream. She also does activities like karate and basketball. She hopes you enjoy the show and have a really good time watching the show!
