Run Crew
Nguyen Bui '26Nguyen first joined the Spring Musical family during her junior year as part of run crew for Footloose. From moving sets to making sure everything ran smoothly, she loved being part of the magic that brings each show to life. Through late rehearsals, long tech nights, and lots of laughs, Nguyen found a second family in Brothers Drama. She is incredibly grateful for all the memories, friendships, and experiences it has given her and is proud to have been part of something so special during her time in high school.

Winona Howard '26Winona first joined the CBA Theatre Department in 11th grade as a crew member for the Fall Drama Radium Girls and has been involved in productions since. She enjoys the behind the scenes side of theatre and helping bring each production together. Winona also worked on crew for the spring musical Footloose. She is grateful for the friendships she has made with other members of the department and is looking forward to her final time being part of the CBA Theatre Department.

Run Crew
Danny George '26Danny first joined the CBA Theater Department in 11th grade for the Fall Drama Radium Girls as a member of stage crew (thank you Ms. Corey for believing in me). Since then, Danny also did stage crew for the Spring Musical Footloose and even made a cameo appearance in the Fall Drama Inherit the Wind as the zoologist Dr. Keller. Danny is looking forward to his final time as a part of the CBA stage crew in Anastasia!

Run Crew
Ben Chiodi '26This is Ben’s first ever musical, but he’s been attending his sister’s musicals since 2017! He loves the simplicity of moving stuff and staying in the background. He’s thankful to Danny George for encouraging him to join the stage crew. Ben is unsure where he will be attending school next year, but hopes it will be as fun as this experience!

Run Crew
Bella Wagner '26Bella is so excited to be part of her first musical production at CBA as a member of the run crew. Working behind the scenes to help bring this show to life has been such a meaningful experience for her. She is incredibly thankful for the support of the cast, crew, and her family, who have encouraged her every step of the way. Bella will truly miss the laughter, the long rehearsals, and the special friendships she has made through Brothers Drama; memories she will always hold close to her heart.

Jada Barnwell '26Jada joined the spring musical as a crew member in 11th grade. She had no prior experience helping put together a musical, but she loves every aspect of it. Her favorite part of crew is painting and creating sets, and she specializes at running the projector with Nari. She wishes she joined crew sooner, but she is so thankful and grateful for all the friendships and bonds she created with other members over the past 2 years.

Costume Design, Set Painting
Amira Thomas '26As a senior, this is her first time being a part of any musical at CBA. Although it is her first musical, she does have interest in musicals and shows like Wicked, Music Man, Hamilton, BeetleJuice, and Matilda.

Costume Design, Set Painting
Kayla Dinh '26Kayla started off her musical career in junior high, skipped a few years and then came back as an ensemble member in CBA’s Footloose. She most definitely enjoyed her time in the ensemble, but when she had free time during practice, she would sneak off and help paint sets with the crew. She soon realized that dancing really isn't for her (especially with a busy cheer schedule). This year, she wasn't planning on joining, but was convinced by her best friend Helen to continue (thanks Helen!!). Instead of being onstage, she’s joined stage crew and has helped with making the majority of the costumes for the royal family. She will be going on to attend college at Daemen University, majoring in Health Sciences. She doesn't plan on continuing her musical career, but will always remember her theater family here at CBA. She is so thankful for everyone she's has met during her time participating, especially to Ms. Corey and Mr. Calimlim!

Set Construction, Painting, Projections Operator
Nari Newsome '26Nari is a member of the stage crew and joined in the 11th grade. She has always loved music and art and wanted to find an outlet for this in her high school career. Nari helps paint, create sets and manage the projector alongside Jada. One of her favorite things about the crew is being able to share the love for theatre and art with her friends and create long lasting memories and relationships while watching the musical come to life.

Ari Coleman '26Ariella (Crew) is so excited to bring the characters of Anastasia to life! This is Ariella’s 1st show with the school theatre department. As a senior, they are excited to take their love for art backstage and help transform the cast. Ariella just recently started doing makeup and can’t wait to share her creativity with her cast! Thanks to family and friends for their endless support. Enjoy the show!

Zach Curle '26This is Zach’s first year playing in the pit band for a CBA musical. He has been playing the clarinet since third grade and is very excited to be part of the show as he is a huge fan of theater. He doesn’t quite know where he will be going to school next year, but wants to study communications and public relations. He would like to thank Mr. Davis and his parents for always supporting him.

Daniel Keleher '26This is the first time Daniel Keleher has played in a pit band, as he is super excited to participate in something he has seen his mother do for years. He started the trombone in 3rd grade and is honored to be included in such an opportunity. He is undecided in what college he wants to attend but aims to study electrical engineering. He would like to shout out his parents and Mr. Davis for guiding him to where he is today.

Violin 1
Eric Lee '26Eric is a senior at CBA and is excited to spend this year’s musical in the pit band. He has enjoyed playing alongside Ms. Tumajyan and Dr. Moore while Mr. Davis works hard to keep the pit band together. When he is not in the pit, Eric is usually somewhere else playing violin with orchestras or at summer music programs. Next year he will attend Brown University to study applied mathematics and music. Eric is grateful to be part of the CBA theatre community.
Original Creative Team
Terrence McNally (book) was an American playwright, librettist and LGBTQ+ trailblazer, described by the New York Times as “the bard of the American Theater.” One of the few playwrights of his generation to successfully pass from the avant-garde to mainstream acclaim, Terrence redefined American playwriting for six decades and was the recipient of five Tony Awards (two for his plays Love! Valour! Compassion! and Master Class, two for the books to his musicals Kiss of the Spider Woman and Ragtime, and the 2019 Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement). Terrence received many honors throughout his life, including the Dramatists Guild Lifetime Achievement Award (where he was Vice President from 1981 to 2001), the Lucille Lortel Lifetime Achievement Award, and inductions into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1996 and the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2018. His incredible legacy lives on in his plays, musicals and operas that continue to be performed all over the world, as well as in his papers, which are kept and open to the public at the Harry Ransom Center in the University of Texas at Austin.
Lynn Ahrens (lyrics) and Stephen Flaherty (music) have been collaborators since 1983, creating an array of notable Broadway and off-Broadway musicals, including Ragtime, Once On This Island, Seussical, Rocky, My Favorite Year, A Man of No Importance and the animated feature film Anastasia. In 2017, they brought Anastasia to Broadway, making it their third musical collaboration with Terrence McNally. They’ve won the Tony Award, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and the Olivier, and have been nominated for two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes and four Grammys. They serve on the Council for the Dramatists Guild of America and co-founded the DGF Fellows Program for Emerging Writers, which has nurtured new generations of playwrights and musical theatre writers since 2000. In 2014 they received the Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement, and in 2015 they were inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame.
