Original Creative Team
Murray Ross was the founding artistic director of TheatreWorks, the resident professional theatre company at the University of Colorado—Colorado Springs (UCCS) since 1975. Under his artistic leadership, the fledgling suburban theatre company grew from a small community program that offered three shows a year in a converted classroom, to a robust, professional company that is now housed in the $70 million Ent Center for the Arts on the UCCS campus. Caitlin Lowans served as the Producing Artistic Director at TheatreWorks from 2018-2025, taking the reins after Murray's passing. Caitlin is known for fresh take on many productions, including the 2018 A Christmas Carol you are seeing here at CMHS. This production saw a woman playing the role of Scrooge, an ensemble that played instruments, sang English Carols, and danced and the incorporation of several puppets created by local artist/puppet maker/puppeteer, Cory Moosman.
