Dawn D. Wisdom, Director of Vocal Music, Cheyenne Mountain HS

  Dawn Wisdom has been teaching music for 34 years, 27 of them as vocal music director at Cheyenne Mountain High School.  She serves as the chair of vocal/ general music for the Colorado Springs District 12 schools and directs five choral ensembles at CMHS. Dawn has served on the leadership boards of the CO Music Educators Association, the CO ACDA board, and AEA.

Dawn has been a clinician, guest conductor and adjudicator in several states, most recently serving as an adjudicator CO and national festivals and a clinician at CMEA and ACDA conferences.

      The Cheyenne Mountain High School choirs have traveled to state, national and regional festivals earning consistent superior ratings  under her direction.  Ms. Wisdom’s choirs have opened for several professional groups and have enjoyed performing concerts in places like Hard Rock Honolulu, Hard Rock Memphis, Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, Universal Studios Orlando, DisneyWorld, Disneyland, the flight deck of the USS Midway in San Diego, and Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.  Under Ms.Wisdom’s direction, CMHS ensembles have presented concerts at the Colorado Music Educators Conference, and at special events around the city of Colorado Springs.

The CMHS choirs are busy preparing for winter and second semester events, including several concerts and festivals.
