Samantha Richardson (Catherine)
Samantha is beyond thrilled to be making her professional acting debut with CAT and the highly talented cast and crew she finds herself surrounded by. Samantha graduated from Brightpoint Community College with her AFA in theatre performance last spring and continues to work there as a theatre technician, primarily in lighting and costuming. Former shows where you could find her on the stage instead of behind it include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck), Legacy of Light (Émilie du Châtelet), Dating Anxiety (Anxiety), A Flea in Her Ear (Lucienne) and Dracula: An Audio Drama Adaptation (Mina Harker), among others. In the past she has also dabbled in stage management for CAT and Richmond Shakes, and was the Assistant Director for RTP’s production of Log Cabin and Watermelon Otter Players’ staged reading of Frankenstein: The Modern Epimetheus. Samatha wishes to thank too many people to name in this short bio so will only thank the most important one, her mother. It is thanks to her, and her decision to play the Original London: Les Miserables soundtrack while Samantha was attempting to do math homework in third grade that led to Samantha wanting to become an actor. She hopes you enjoy her performance, and how far she’s come since then.
