Acerca del Festival Danzas en Tarima 2025

Danzas en Tarima es un festival innovador de danza narrativa presentado por HAPAA y Another River Interdisciplinary Ensemble, que presenta impactantes obras coreográficas que exploran la migración, la identidad, la comunidad y la resistencia.

Limitado a una plataforma de 8 pies por 8 pies, este festival invita a los artistas a transformar un pequeño espacio en un escenario impactante de expresión y reflexión. Reúne a artistas de diferentes tradiciones culturales y dancísticas, ofreciendo al público un viaje dinámico y emotivo a través del movimiento y la narrativa.

Esta primera edición del festival forma parte de la misión de HAPAA de impulsar las voces latinas e inmigrantes a través de las artes escénicas y crear espacios donde se compartan historias personales y colectivas en el escenario.

Estos coreógrafos y grupos de danza presentarán obras originales de entre 5 y 15 minutos de duración, que reflexionan sobre historias personales, históricas y culturales de migración. Sus obras abarcan danza folclórica, contemporánea, teatral y experimental, prometiendo un programa rico y diverso.

About the Festival Danzas en Tarima 2025

Danzas en Tarima is an innovative festival of dance storytelling presented by HAPAA and Another River Interdisciplinary Ensemble, showcasing powerful choreographic works that explore migration, identity, community, and resistance.

Held on a striking 8ft x 8ft platform, this festival challenges performers to transform a small square into a powerful site of expression and reflection. It brings together artists from different cultural and dance traditions, offering audiences a dynamic and emotional journey through movement and narrative.

This first edition of the festival is part of HAPAA’s mission to uplift Latinx and immigrant voices through the performing arts and create spaces where personal and collective stories can be shared on stage.

We are proud to present the incredible artists selected to participate in this inaugural edition:
