France-Luce Benson is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, performer, and Assistant Professor of Theatre at CSU San Marcos. Prior to her appointment at CSUSM in 2023, she earned her MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and was a staff writer on Paramount's series "Lawmen: Bass Reeves". Her play "Detained" which had its world premiere at Los Angeles' Fountain Theatre, was the winner of four NAACP Theatre Awards. Her plays have been commissioned and/or developed by the Tony Award winning Atlantic Theatre Company, The Playwright's Center, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival, among others. She has been awarded residencies at Djerrasi, The Sacatar Institute in Brazil, and the Camargo Foundation in France. Her plays have been published by Concord Theatricals, Theatrical Rights Worldwide, and Routledge Press. She is a proud member of the Writer's Guild of America and the Dramatist Guild.

Adam is incredibly excited to be a part of his first production at CSUSM as a Stage Manager. He has been involved in theatre for a significant portion of his life. Notable roles he has played were in Harvey (Elwood P. Dowd), Something Rotten (Stage Manager) and Anything Goes (Evelyn Oakley). Adam is very thankful to the director, France-Luce, for the opportunity to be involved with this show and the incredible guidance she has given him.

Alyssa “Ajay” Junious is an interdisciplinary performing artist, choreographer, director, and Pilates practitioner from Oceanside, California. She holds a BFA in Performance and Choreography from UC Irvine and is currently completing her MFA in Musical Theatre at San Diego State University. With over 15 years of experience performing, teaching, and choreographing throughout San Diego, Ajay brings a dynamic, story-driven approach to movement rooted in both concert dance and musical theater. Her performance and creative credits include work with La Jolla Playhouse, Cygnet Theatre, Teatro San Diego, Oceanside Theatre Company, and New Village Arts. She is also the founder of Continuum Arts & Pilates and co-founder of Soultry Sisters Collective, which produces an annual Arts & Wellness Festival in North County San Diego. Ajay is passionate about empowering artists to connect technique with storytelling and authentic expression. This summer, she will be serving as associate director and choreographer for SpongeBob the Musical at Cygnet Theatre.

Marilynn Do is a local sound enthusiast who works as a sound technician at the Old Globe Theater in Balboa Park, sound designs for various theaters in San Diego and produces music as a freelance composer and orchestrator. She enjoys finding creative ways to play with sound whether that be manipulating spaces or altering samples. As for her music, her classical training alongside her Vietnamese heritage and interest in world music shapes her composition and orchestration. Marilynn is thrilled to be making her California State San Marcos Theater debut and would like to thank the team for bringing her on.

Alex Perez is a third year student at San Diego Mesa College majoring in Fashion Design. Through Mesa’s Fashion Program, she has had many opportunities to showcase and display her work. After completing her Associate’s degree, she will be pursuing a career in costume design for on stage productions.

David is a third-year Theater Arts major here at Cal State San Marcos. This is David's third play here, and he has been involved in theater for over 5 years both onstage and behind the scenes. He performed in Vinegar Tom and helped crew and design for many past CSUSM shows including The Importance of Being Earnest, The Wolves, dance concerts, and other shows. He would like to thank his family and friends for their constant support and helping him get to where he is today. He is also thankful and proud of everyone that helped make this play possible.

Kandace Crystal (she/her) is a multi-hyphenate theatre maker with a BFA in Acting from Florida State University and former Teaching Artist at Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, Inc. Select intimacy credits include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Old Globe), Airness (Loud Fridge Theatre Group), Spring Awakening (Oceanside Theatre Company). Laura’s play Paradise (IRNE Award for Best New Play, Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Commission, Judith Royer Excellence in Playwriting Award) premiered at Central Square Theatre, and received its west coast premiere at the Odyssey Theatre (Viola Davis/Julius Tennon, producers). She then wrote the screenplay for Vicangelo Films. She won the $10,000 Saroyan/Paul Human Rights Playwriting Prize for Carla Cooks The War, and three NYFA grants in Playwriting/Screenwriting. Her most recent play Beyond Words was a Boston Globe Critic's Pick. Laura is director of the EST Playwrights Unit, a graduate of Yale, and a proud member of HONOR ROLL! an action/advocacy group for women+ playwrights over 40.

Saturn is a Theatre/Literature and Writing double major in his junior year. He is a poet, published in the San Diego Poetry Annual, a playwright and an actor. You may know him from roles such as Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest (Blue Light Theatre Club), Lovborg in Hedda Gabler at CSUSM, or as writer for The Cougar Chronicle and host of CSUSM’s Climate To Action podcast. Saturn would like to thank his friends and family, the professors who have believed in him, and the wonderful cast who have embraced his family stories with a courageous open mind.

Jacob Mendenhall has acted in many performances, including Blue Light Theatre Company's production of The Importance of being Earnest, where he played Jack. He's also directed plenty of shows, such as Blue Light's production of Trail to Oregon. Having spent his time in front of, on, and behind the stage, as well as managing productions as Blue Light's president, he's now stepped into the role of writer for Waiting Room, as part of CSUSMs One Act showcase.

Bjorn Huff, playing Gohar in Snowed In and the playwright of Monster(s), is a Theatre Arts and Biology major at CSUSM. Bjorn is known for his role in The Mother Fxcker with the Hat, also produced at CSUSM, as well as performing at Renaissance Faires across SoCal and Las Vegas. Bjorn considers his style to be grounded in realism while playing with the excitement that fantastical elements can bring.
