Missed Connections Cast

Marlo Su is a trilingual actress from San Francisco, California. Marlo is known for recent theatre roles: DETAINED by France-Luce Benson, It Bears Repeating directed by Elle Vernee, Permanent Collection directed by Jeffery Lo and Shakespeare’s A Winter’s Tale with the African American Shakespeare Company. She performs regularly with improv troupe Edge Control at Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles. Marlo is also known for short films Strength and Fortune (Eimanne El Zein) Invisible Men (Nina Rayes Rosenberg), SlipDrive and The Knock (Paul Johnstone). She has written and performed in youth theatre with the Almeida Theatre and Royal Court Theatre in London, England. Marlo trained at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Los Angeles and the Academy Drama School in London. She holds a BA in French and Spanish and MA in Caribbean and Latin American Studies from the University of London. Marlo Su is honored to be a part of Missed Connections in Showtime Blues.

Devin Roberts is enjoying wrapping up his senior year by being a part of his first production at CSUSM! Lately, he's spent more time reading and studying plays, and he is excited to once again be a part of one! Before attending here, he studied theatre at MSJC. After being involved in their productions of Parade and Urinetown, he's starting to wonder what it is about him that's gotten him cast as a cop for three shows in a row.

Marissa Solis plays Eliza in Interviewing Miss Davis and is also a dancer in Showtime Blues. This is her first year at CSUSM and her first theatre production since she was 8 years old. She says she is very nervous but also excited for this experience. She hopes everyone has fun! :)

Matilda Bowen is a Junior transfer Theater Arts major and a WGSS minor. She loves to perform and has spent her whole life on stage; dancing, singing, acting, and teching crew for shows! She specializes in tap and jazz dance, which she has worked with since she was 6 years old. Some other shows she has done are: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Oberon’s Fairy), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Ms. Teavee), Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), Little Mermaid (Eric), Perfect Arrangement (Ensemble), and The Wolves (#00). Bjorn Huff, playing Gohar in Snowed In and the playwright of Monster(s), is a Theatre Arts and Biology major at CSUSM. Bjorn is known for his role in The Mother Fxcker with the Hat, also produced at CSUSM, as well as performing at Renaissance Faires across SoCal and Las Vegas. Bjorn considers his style to be grounded in realism while playing with the excitement that fantastical elements can bring.

Audie is proud to take part in his debut acting role as the character Salman for the student written play, Snowed In. He has always held great interest and respect for acting, so he enjoyed being part of this play. His hobbies consist of reading manga, spending time with family and friends, and wrestling with his sister's dog. Audie wants to give a sincere thank you to Sophia and Anna for giving him the courage to audition for this play.

Finnegan “Rocky” Hogan will be playing Logan in Monsters. He has played roles in Bye Bye Birdie (Mr. Mcafee), A Toby Show(Prince Burtock), The Little Mermaid(Grimsby), West Side Story(Officer Krupke), and The Importance of Being Earnest (Dr. Chasuble). He is very happy to be playing this role and hopes that you all enjoy the show!

Aylajane Fiorillo is thrilled to be appearing in her second production at CSUSM. She previously performed as #46 in The Wolves and is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to step back onto the stage once again. Currently a Theatre Arts student at CSUSM, Ayla plans to pursue a career in TV and Film. She would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped bring this production to life, as well as to her friends and family for their endless love and support throughout her journey. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Mandie is the Administrative Coordinator for Music, Theatre, and Dance here at CSUSM and is thrilled to be part of this show! She has performed in many community theatre productions over the years, with some of her favorite roles being A Curious Savage (Mrs. Paddy) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Mrs. Meers). When she's not keeping the performing arts departments running smoothly, Mandie loves to read, make crafts, and sing every chance she gets. She would like to thank her wonderful husband Robin and her two sons, aka the Best Kids Ever in the History of the World, Ian and Elliot. Being back on stage after several years away is a true pleasure and Mandie has had a blast being part of this show. She hopes you enjoy watching it as much as she enjoyed performing in it!

Noemi Damian Vazquez is playing Luka in The Boor and Jackie in Interview with Miss Davis. Noemi has previously played Janice in Mean Girls the Musical and Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This is her first college production, and she is very grateful to be part of such a wonderful crew! She hopes you all enjoy!

Natalie Hinton is a senior here at CSUSM studying human resources management. Natalie has always had a passion for acting, previously starring in roles such as Gwendolen Fairfax in Blue Light's The Importance of Being Earnest, and as herself in Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. She would like to thank her mother for her constant support as she pursues what she loves, and Blue Light Theatre Club for giving her a space to DO what she loves. She hopes you sit tight, wait in a room, and enjoy the show!

Cayla Munoz is a fourth year Theatre major, Missed Connections is their first experience in a one-act festival, and Waiting Room being their sixth and final production here at CSUSM. They couldn’t have asked for a better show to end their time here. They thank their show partner, Natalie Hinton for being such an awesome and funny person to work with as well as their playwright, Jacob Mendenhall for trusting them to bring his work to life. They cherish the love and support their family, and friends have given them throughout the years. Their heart aches writing this and will probably explode on stage, but they hope you enjoy the show and all the love, passion, and joy that went into it.

Aydian Anderson is a third year Theatre major, with this being his first year at CSUSM after transferring from Palomar College. You may have seen him in some shows around the area, such as CSUSM's Hedda Gabler and Palomar College's Murder on the Orient Express. Now, he's taking on the fiery role of Grigori Smirnov in the Chekhov classic The Boor.

Michara "Mikey" Lang has had the best time getting to inhabit the dramatic Mrs. Popov. You may have also seen her most recently in The Wolves and The Importance of being Earnest here at CSUSM! She is a fourth year Theater Arts major with a deep love for performance and all things nerdy. She would like to thank her oved ones for helping her though a wild year!
