Shakespeare in Love Creative

Director
Ross MacDonald (He/Him)This is Mr MacDonald's fifth year at BB&N. Since arriving at the school he has directed/produced all of the Upper School Fall and Winter Shows, and leant a hand with all the Spring offerings. He was the founder and Director of The BB&N 'Arts Fest '23'; and co-founded both the Drama and Rugby Clubs. He is a graduate of The University of Southampton and London Academy of Performing Arts. He is an Actors Equity member, and prior to life as a full time educator worked as a professional actor, director and producer. Ross also served in Helmand 2007 with the 'Londons', as part of the British Forces contribution to the NATO mission.

Technical Director and Designer
Adam Howarth (He/Him)As chief button pusher, knob turner and wood whisperer Adam works with a top-notch group of students to create the scenery, lighting, sound, and video worlds inhabited by our productions. His journey has included teaching positions in North Hollywood at Harvard Westlake, the Atlanta metro area at Georgia State, Clayton State Universities and Marist School, and in Boston at Emerson College. He has designed for regional theater and themed attractions including Disney and Universal theme parks. Adam has garnered multiple awards including an Ovation in Los Angeles, Motif in New England, and numerous Suzi Bass awards in Georgia for his designs. Adam serves as chair of the art department at BB&N and thanks the school and our parents for their generous support.

Costume Designer
Louise Brown (She/Her)Ms. Brown graduated from the University of Bristol with a BA in Fine Art. Louise has worked in television and film and has been on both sides of the camera, as a producer and performer. In 2002 she joined the faculty at Buckingham Brown and Nichols School in Cambridge, MA as the Upper School dance instructor, taking over the position as Costume Designer to the theater department in 2005 while fine tuning her sewing and pattern making skills at Boston’s School of Fashion Design. In 2007 she created the After School Costume Design program, teaching the fundamentals of garment construction and costume design to upper school students, in the last 14 years she has designed more than 40 productions for the BB&N theater department. She is also an artist and historical costumer with a passion for 18th and 19th Century garments and construction techniques.
Stage Manager
Finnian Weigand (He/Him)Finnian is a junior and has been a dedicated player of the Theater program as a performer, creator and crew member. Finn is also learning to fly and a driving force behind Red Ribbon.

Hannah Brodsky (She/Her)Hannah (Costume Crew) is excited to costume on the Fall Play. Hannah loves creative writing and baking for her family. She is a Junior and enjoys taking part in the BB&N theater department. This is her fifth season of costume crew and she loves the opportunity to work with new people.

Sam Minsky (They/Them)Shakespeare in Love will be the third production at BB&N that Sam has participated in. They are excited for the performance nights and hope everyone will appreciate the hard work of the crew on the stage. Their hobbies outside of backstage crew include spending hours scrolling online, creating digital art, and reading novels.
Crew-Lighting Operator
Saho ReppucciSaho is a lifer at BB&N and a current Junior. Saho decided to do stage crew this fall because she was interested and fascinated by how props and scenery were made for shows and the thought process that get put into creating them. But also was interested in how the props were spaced out for shows and how to use space efficiently. She has really enjoyed doing stage crew, meeting new people, hanging out with friends, and learning new things.

Lena IshiiLena is currently a junior at BB&N. In her free time, she enjoys dancing and drawing. She is a lifer and was a part of the crew for Barefoot in the Park and The Mouse That Roared. She is excited to be a part of this year's fall production, Shakespeare in Love, as she enjoyed being a part of stage crew freshman and sophomore year.

Christo ZachariaChristo is a Grade 9 student making his debut in the Upper School Theater Program. As well as contributing as a crew member he is also a member of the Theater and Performance class.
Costume
Alexandra NassikasAlexandra is a Sophomore, and making her first contribution as a costume team member. Last year Alexandra made her dubut on stage as a member of the Chicago company. Alexandra is also a member of the Shakespeare and Performance class, currently working on amongst other things a performance as MacBeth in a stage combat component.
