Rylan “Asher” Bird
Asher Bird is a Junior at BHS, he is on the swim team and news team as well as theater. He was assigned stage manager and even though he is worried about screwing it up he is trying his best. He has previously won state and got ranked 7th nationally for radio and audio production.

Annslee Clay
Annslee is thrilled to be back at Bryant High School! Since graduating in 2020, she has also returned to choreograph Shrek the Musical. She is currently getting her BFA in Musical Theatre at Ouachita Baptist University. When not choreographing, she loves to perform; her most notable roles are: Little Red Ridinghood in Into The Woods (Arkansas Rep), Louise in Gypsy (The Studio Theatre, LR), Mrs. Nordstrom in Little Night Music (Argenta Community Theatre), Jan in Grease (The Royal Players), and Veronica Sawyer in Heathers (The Royal Players). In her free time, she loves to read, watch ‘Survivor’, and draw.

Jordyn Purtle
A Sophmore at Bryant High School, this is Jordyn’s second spring musical with the Bryant Theatre Company, but has also appeared as Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest and as Anne in Our Place both also with The Bryant Theatre Company and as Chief Ancestor Captain in Moana Jr. with Argenta Community Theater. She is very excited to explore the more technical side of theatre and is thankful to Mr. Clay for the opportunity.

Mace Ellision
Mace Ellison has been apart of Bryant Theater program for quite a while. They have been mostly tech in their two years of being apart of the Theater program, they are excited to be doing makeup for their final show with the production team. They have previously been head of sound, props, and costumes. They have been apart of 9 shows with this being their last. They are excited for the shows to start!

Roman Avguchenko
Roman Avguchenko is a senior at Bryant High School running sound for the schools productions and for surrounding areas. Roman tries his best to give the cast a comfortable and enjoyable experience, as sound is supposed to amplify the performance, not get in the way of it. He has run sound for shows like Kinky Boots (Board and Mics), 13 the musical (Board and Mics), and Shrek the musical (Board).

Seth is a senior at Bryant High School and he likes to take long walks on the beach. He is working on audio related things in The Little Mermaid show.

Kaitlyn “Kat” Ebner
Kat Ebner is a junior or Bryant High School and is greatful for the year they have had. They’ve learned that everyone has a place no matter the consequences. Their credits of this year were the lights and colors of ‘Our Place’ that took place in September and the camera man in ‘Earnest’ that took place in November.

Jessika is a sophomore at Bryant and this is her first time doing tech for a show. She is so excited to have this opportunity as she has always admired theatre and the work that goes behind it and thanks her friends and family for being so supportive!

Mikayla Arbeene
Mikayla Arbeene is a junior at Bryant and is ecstatic to be working with theater this year as a makeup artist. It’s best to always stay positive even when life gets you down because you never know what is in store for you! Mikayla worked in theater as a young girl (both acting and dancing), and she feels amazing getting back into it, even as a makeup artist instead.

The Little Mermaid will be Carlie’s third show she’s been in. She is thrilled to part of crew for this musical, and knows it will be a great show to remember. An 8th grader at Bryant Junior High, Carlie wants to thank her family for always being so excited for her trying new things. Previous performances include Aladdin Jr. (Ensemble) and Seussical Jr. (Stage manager).

Kinsey Gregory is a senior at Bryant and is so excited to be a part of quick change. This is Kinseys first and sadly last show with Bryant High School, but she is thrilled to be apart of the crew this year. “When given an opportunity, take it, even if you are scared.”

This is Allie Lyons, a senior at Bryant High School. This will be one of their last shows at Bryant, but they plans to pursue theatre in the future. You can normally find them back stage having a party or getting ready for their cue. One thing to remember is never be satisfied until you defy gravity.

This is Brennan’s first time to work behind the scenes of a theatre production, but hopefully not the last. He is no stranger to theatre due to volunteering with the Royal Theatre in Benton. He is a junior at Bryant High School who can usually be found playing Dungeons and Dragons or Minecraft in his free time. He has enjoyed being a part of Disney’s The Little Mermaid and hopes you enjoy the show!

Brooklyn Screeton has only been in thespians for one year, being a sophomore and all. Despite this he has had his hand in 2 shows so far, one being an usher and the other a one act for the State thespians festival. He is super ecstatic to working with the Bryant Schools Drama Club in this up coming musical as a working hand backstage.

Original Creative Team

The Little Mermaid is a stage musical  produced by Disney Theatrical, based on the animated 1989 Disney film, of the same name, and the classic story by Hans Christian Andersen about a mermaid who dreams of the world above the sea and gives up her voice to find true love. Its book is by Doug Wright, music by Alan Menken, and lyrics by Howard Ashman (written for the film), with additional lyrics by Glenn Slater.
