The Little Mermaid Cast

Ria Colvert (Ariel/Costumes)
Ria Colvert is a senior at Bryant High School, and is excited to be playing Ariel. This is her 2nd year in stage management and her 8th show at Bryant. Her favorite roles she has played are Taylor Mckessie (High School Musical) and The Ugly Duckling (Shrek The Musical). She would like to thank Jeremy Clay for giving her the opportunity to be in the show and for giving her the passion for theatre.
Jase Gladden (Prince Eric/Set)
Jase Gladden is honored to return to the stage in the Little Mermaid as Prince Eric. Jase is a junior in Bryant High school. His prior performances include Shrek the Musical(Lord Farquaad), and the Importance of Being Earnest(Algernon Moncrieff).
Bee Golleher (Ursula/Costumes/Puppetmaster)
This is Bee’s second production at Bryant, and they’re thrilled to be bringing such an iconic character to life! Some of their favorite credits include The Artful Dodger in “Oliver” (Wildwood/Praeclara), Duffy in “Annie” (Murry’s Dinner Playhouse), Anna in “Frozen” (The Young Players), and Small Allison in “Fun Home” (Studio Theatre). Their next project is Ruthie and Pan in Bat Boy at The Weekend Theatre. Bee can’t wait for you to follow this wonderful cast under the sea; Thank you for supporting your local arts in Arkansas!
Amelia Johnson (Sebastian/W.H.A.M)
Amelia Johnson, a 10th grader at Bryant High School, is thrilled to be performing as Sebastian in The Little Mermaid. She has performed as Pinocchio in Shrek the Musical and in other plays for Bryant, but engaging in another musical alongside such a talented cast and crew is beyond exciting. In addition to theater, Amelia enjoys playing the alto sax in Bryant’s remarkable bands as well as singing in the school’s outstanding choir organization. She thanks her grandparents, family, friends, and teachers for encouraging her passionate pursuit of the arts.
Tyler Phillips (King Triton)
Tyler Phillips is a senior and is excited to make his theatrical debut in The Little Mermaid, his first and final theatrical performance at Bryant. He has been a vocal musician for nearly seven years, and is a member of the Bryant Tenor/Bass Chorus and Camerate. Aside from his interests in the performing arts he also enjoys creative writing and running games of Dungeons & Dragons.
Noah Atkinson (Flounder)
Noah Atkinson is 12 years old and is playing the role of Flounder. Noah has starred in other performances such as Shrek the Musical, small performances at her church, and dance numbers at Doxa Arts Academy. Noah is very excited to play her biggest role she’s ever played, and is so grateful for this amazing opportunity! Cameron Hastings (Grimsby/Props)
Cameron Hastings is a Junior at Bryant High school. He is excited to be playing Grimsby in The Little Mermaid. His favorite theatre experiences include Max in Henry’s Law, Chasuble in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Quince in Midsummer Nights Dream.
Harper Keith (Scuttle)
Harper is thrilled to be back with Bryant Theatre Company! Previous credits here include Mary Poppins (Jane) and Into the Woods (Milky White). Other favorite past credits include Fern in Charlotte's Web (Arkansas Arts Center), Lavender in Matilda the Musical (Studio Theatre), Thomas in Tuck Everlasting (Studio Theatre), Jojo in Newsies (Royal Theatre), and performing at Second City Chicago. Enjoy the show!
Laiken Clarke (Flotsam/Dance Captain/Gull/Maid/Court Animal/Swing/Publicity/Assistant Choreographer)
Laiken Clarke (11th grade) is thrilled to perform on the Love Auditorium stage once again. Laiken is a dancer/choreographer of 14 years and is a member of Bryant’s Thespian Troupe #8855. Laiken’s favorite credits include Angela Anderson in ‘Dogecoin Billionare’, multiple roles in ‘Shrek The Musical’, Holly in ‘Our Place’, and Cecily Cardew in ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’. Laiken hopes you enjoy this ‘Positoovely’ fun show!
Leilani McKay (Jetsam/Assistant Director)
Leilani McKay is a Junior at Bryant High school, she is very excited to play Jetsam in The Little Mermaid. Some of her favorite credits include Kelsi - High School Musical, Fairy God Mother - Shrek The Musical, and Juror 2 - Twelve Angry Jurors.
Altayveon “Tay” Gardner (Chef Louis/Sailor/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Tay is very excited to end his high school acting career with the little mermaid. Tay was in Our Place as Cory, The Importance of Being Earnest as Lane/Merriman, and now as Chef Louis In The Little Mermaid. This will be his last show before going off to college in search for a bigger acting career, as well as the steps to becoming a teacher in the distant future. This has been a fun two years for him and he’s ready to end it with a bang.
Lyndsey Abbott (Arista/Princess/Props)
This is Lyndsey Abbott. This is her senior year at Bryant, and is so excited to be playing Arista in her first and final high school musical performance. She was previously doing Publicity for The Importance of Being Earnest, and played Liberty and was co-director for Our Place. She is in Bryant Choirs, being in 4 choirs, and is currently getting ready for All-State and is hopeful that she makes it. She would like to thank all of her stage management friends and Mr. Clay for showing her so many wonderful opportunities to start off her theatre career.
Hailey Yates (Atina/Princess/Ariel Understudy)
Hailey Yates is a senior at Bryant High School. This is her first acting role and she is very excited! She is part of the Bryant Choirs and loves singing. Some of her other hobbies include reading, crafts, and watching movies. She plans on going to UCA next year to pursue a career in psychiatry. She wants everyone to know that they should go for their dreams no matter how big or small.
Lanlea Page (Alana/Princess/Props)
Lanlea Page is a Junior at Bryant and is excited to play Alana in this year’s musical. She played Sidney in our place and did the lights in The Importance of Being Earnest.
Ava Tillery (Adella/Princess)
Ava Tillery is delighted to be a part of The Little Mermaid at Bryant High School. She would like to thank everyone who made the production possible, especially Mr. Clay for the opportunity to play a part in the experience. She hopes you all enjoy SEA-ing the show.
Ainslee Theodore (Andrina/Princess)
Ainslee Theodore is a sophomore at Bryant High School and she is excited to be performing in her second musical as Andorinha and a Princess. She performed in Shrek the Musical last year as Puss in Boots, a Happy Villager, and a Dragon Puppeteer. She is thrilled to see what else theater has to offer for her.
Maddie Welch (Aquata/Princess)
Maddie is excited to be onstage for the spring musical again! She previously appeared as Young Fiona in Shrek the Musical and Teddy Bear in Mary Poppins. Other recent stage credits include Sense and Sensibility, A Christmas Carol the Musical, and Elf the Musical with the Royal Players, as well as Frozen JR and Jungle Book Kids with the Young Players. Maddie is part of the Hornet Harmony Select Choir at Bryant Junior High and the 2022 Arkansas Repertory Theatre Middle School Ensemble. She wants to thank Mr. Clay for casting her and hopes you enjoy going under the sea with us!
Nyla Newton (Co-Dance Captain/Maid/Seagull/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal/Swing)
Nyla is excited to return to The Love Auditorium. She has previously appeared Mary Poppins and Into the Woods Jr with the high school, some of her other credits include Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical Jr and Kassim in Aladdin Jr (Bethel), Young Rudolph (Studio Theatre). An eighth grader at Bryant Junior High School, Nyla enjoys singing and dancing. She wishes to thank the cast for being so kind and Mr. Clay for the opportunity to be part of this production.
Aubree Blankenship (Maid/Seagull/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Aubree is a Freshmen at Bryant. She is honored to be in her 2nd show working with such an amazing cast on on their production of The Little Mermaid. She was in Bryant High School’s production of Shrek the Musical last year as a Duloc Dancer, Rat Tapper and the Wicked Witch.
Malia Campbell (Maid/Seagull/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Malia is very excited to be back on the stage for her second performance at Bryant High School. Some of her favorite performances include Frozen Jr. and Shrek the musical. She is very happy to be working with this wonderful cast to produce a wonderful version of Disney's “The Little Mermaid”. She hopes that you enjoy the show and some time under the sea!
Isabella Smotherman (Maid/Seagull/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Isabella is thrilled to be joining Bryant High School's cast of The Little Mermaid. She is an 8th grader at Bryant Jr. High where she is a member of the dance team and the band. This production is Isabella's first experience in theatre. She is very grateful to Mr.Clay for giving her this opportunity and looks forward to a future that includes more theatrical adventures.
Maison Fells (Maid/Seagull/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Maison Fells is a 8th grader at Bryant Junior High School and is over the moon excited to be in her first Bryant High School performance. Before this Maison played a Bird Girl (Seussical jr)
Eric Turner (Pilot/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Eric Turner is a new student to the Bryant School District, but has been acting for 6 years. He is a very quiet person, yet always outshines himself on an open stage. His favorite roles were Mr. Wormwood (Matilda) and King Louie (The Jungle Book).
Joshua Scapin Tagua (Windward/Sailor/Chef/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Josh is excited to take part in this production! He hasn’t performed on stage in a long time (since 2019,) and is nice to be back on stage after so long.
Jameson Tate (Leeward/Sailor/Chef/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Jameson Tate makes his acting debut as Leeward and ensemble member. He is so excited to be a part of this production.
Riley “Austyn” Wood (Sailor/Chef/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal/Publicity)
Austyn Wood is a senior at Bryant High school, and started theater their junior year. Austyn was in Shrek the Musical and was the Pied Piper, a happy villager, a Farquad Guard, and a Dragon puppeteer. They are very excited for you all to see the show!
Teri Dodd (Sailor/Chef/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal/Sound Assistant)
Teri Dodd is a junior here at the high school, and is so excited to be playing in the little mermaid. One thing that has helped her get through all these rehearsals is remembering that she has friends and family to lean on when things get rough. Some of the other shows that She has been in is Shrek(ensemble), Our Place (Sherry), Earnest( Sound), and now The little mermaid( Ensemble)
Chassitie Shepherd (Sailor/Chef/Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal/Costumes)
Chassitie Shepherd is thrilled to return to the Bryant High School stage for The Little Mermaid. Previous roles she has performed on the High School stage include Stacy, Our Place. Set, The Importance of Being Ernest. Ensemble, The Prom group musical. After her role in Our Place she went on to create set for the Importance of Being Ernest. Chassitie would like to thank: Meghan Thompson, Justin Thompson, and more of her family for supporting her roles and dreams.
Delaney Self (Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal/Assistant Stage Manager)
Delaney Self is a sophomore at Bryant High School. She had previously played Brenda in the production of Our Place. Her previous technical jobs included props for Our Place and head of costumes for The Importance of being Earnest. She is very excited to be apart of a bigger production along with being given more responsibility with the show.
Jacey Hale (Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Jacey Hale is a sophomore at Bryant High School. She has not participated in any shows prior to her ensemble role in the Little Mermaid, but hopes this will allow her to grow in her theater career. She is an avid Little Mermaid lover and deeply believes that no dream is too big or too small.
Xoe Hawkins (Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Xoe Hawkins is in 8th grade at Bryant Jr High. Her 4th show, some of her favorite shows are Suessical the Musical Jr(Martha May Whovier), and High School Musical Jr.(Ensemble). She is excited to be a part of her first show with the high school!
Brianna Rasdon (Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal)
Brianna Rasdon is an 8th grader at Bryant Junior High and is thrilled to be starting her theater journey with The Little Mermaid. Stay positive even through the hard times; they always come to an end.
Dia Bird (Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal/Flounder Understudy)
Dia Bird is 7th grader at BMS and is excited to be in her first theater show. She loves to do different activities but acting is her favorite because she gets to experience different things. Dia has always wanted to be an actress sense she was young, and she wants to continue theater.
