Aubree Blankenship (Connor O'Malley)
Aubree Blankenship is a Junior at Bryant High School and is thrilled to play Connor O'Malley in A Monster Calls. This is her fourth year with the company, and her favorite roles include Coach Weebly in Squad Goals, Featured Dancer/Assistant Director in Hadestown Teen, and Big Kid/Loud Dancer in Matilda the Musical. She looks forward to continuing her theatrical journey and creating even more memorable performances with this company.
Jordyn Purtle (Monster/Ensemble)
Jordyn is so grateful to cross the Bryant stage one last time. A senior at Bryant, she’s so thankful to have the opportunity to play the Monster in this wonderful show. You might have seen her recently as Persephone (Hadestown), Cherry Valance (The Outsiders), Mrs. Phelps (Matilda), or Gwendolyn Fairfax (The Importance of Being Earnest) with the Bryant Theatre Company. She would like to thank Mr. Clay for this opportunity and for fostering her love of theatre these last four years. And while she’s leaving the Bryant stage, you will soon be able to see her studying with Ouachita Baptist University’s Theatre Program this fall. She hopes you enjoy this impactful show!
Madilyn Ellison (Grandma/Ensemble)
Madilyn is in 11th grade at BHS, and has been apart of the theater department since sophomore year. She worked on WHAM, and Set crew for Matilda, Ushered for The Outsiders, and props for Hadestown: Teen addition! She is beyond excited for the opportunity given to her with playing as Grandma. She would like to thank Mr. Clay and the cast for working so very hard on this show, and she can’t wait to share it with everyone else! Enjoy!
Emily Carden (Mum/Ensemble)
Emily Carden is honored to play Mum/Ensemble in ‘A Monster Calls’ a role that has challenged and inspired her in equal measure. Now in her second year of theatre, this is her debut acting role but she has worked on previous production including Matilda & Hadestown (WHAM) and Squad Goals (Costumes). Beyond acting, she is a playwright developing ‘Broken Survivors’ a romance tragedy set during World War II. When not immersed in theatre, she explores storytelling through photography and student journalism. She is grateful for the opportunity to bring this story to life and hopes it resonates with the audience in a meaningful way.
Maison Fells (Ensemble/Connor US)
Maison Fells is excited to join Bryant High School Theater in their production of A Monster Calls. Maison Fells is ensemble/Conor understudy. This is Maison’s first year in stage management and she has been doing theater for 3 years. Maison has also been in Little Mermaid at BHS (featured dancer), Matilda at BHS (featured dancer), Seusical jr at BEMS (Bird girl), and Hadestown: Teen edition at BHS (featured dancer).
Isabella Smotherman (Lily/Ensemble )
Isabella (Lily/Ensemble) is a sophomore at Bryant. She recently appeared in The Lightening Thief at The Royal as Thalia and a featured dancer in Hadestown at Bryant High School. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to perform again at Bryant High School in their production of A Monster Calls. Isabella is grateful to Mr, Clay for this wonderful opportunity.
Chloe Cadzow (Harry/Ensemble)
Chloe (Harry/Ensemble) is so excited to be back on the Bryant stage! Past credits here include Ensemble in Matilda the Musical and Featured Dancer in Hadestown Teen Edition.
Eric Turner (Anton/Ensemble)
Eric Turner is excited to be playing Anton and Ensemble in A Monster Calls! He has been doing theater for 8 years, being a newer addition to the Bryant Theater Company; some of his favorite roles include Michael Wormwood in “Matilda,” Jones in “Squad Goals,” and Mr. Wormwood in “Matilda Jr.”
Maddie Welch (Sully/Ensemble )
This is Maddie’s eighth performance with the Bryant Theatre Company since fifth grade. Some favorite past roles include Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act JR (Royal), Sharpay Evans in High School Musical 2 JR (ACT), Aquata in Disney’s The Little Mermaid (BTC), and Young Fiona in Shrek the Musical (BTC). Maddie is a 2025 National ACDA Honor Choir Member, a 2025 All State Choir member, and part of the Bella Voce choir at BHS. Thanks for coming to the show and to Mr. Clay for casting her!
Savannah Dillon (Mr. Marl/Ensemble)
Savannah Dillon is excited to be involved in ‘A Monster Calls’ and to be playing Mr. Marl along with being in the ensemble. She has done theatre for almost 2 years and was previously in ‘Squad Goals’ as Bailey and in ‘Hadestown: Teen Edition’ as Ensemble, both with the Bryant Theatre Company. She is grateful to Mr. Clay for giving her the opportunity to be in this show and is excited for everyone to see it!
Brasen Winchell (Dad/Ensemble)
Brasen is thrilled to be returning to another Bryant High School production as Ensemble/Dad. This is the beginning of his second year in theatre and his fourth show overall. Brasen would like to thank both the cast and crew for making this show come to life!
Mili Utsey (Miss Godfrey/Ensemble)
Mili Utsey is extremely excited to play Miss Godfrey/Ensemble in ‘A Monster Calls’, it is her very first acting role and she’s thrilled to see what will become of this wonderful show. In her first year of theatre Mili has been on Props (Squad Goals), WHAM (Matilda), and Costumes (Hadestown).
