The Baton Project is a play reading series where artists “pass on” the opportunity to another artist, helping to recognize the talent of their peers and to bring industry recognition to artists who might not have received it yet.

Playwrights record the cultural moment. How we felt, our loves & hates, our hopes & despair. They show it back to us, reminding us we are not alone but a community. The unity of storytelling & community actually allows us to heal each other. The Baton Project is the latest extension of this idea.
