Heath A. Diehl (George)
Heath is delighted to be back on the BSP stage and to have the opportunity to bring a character like George to life. Favorite past roles include Jimmy Baxter in Perfect Arrangement, Herb Tucker in I Ought to Be In Pictures, and Edward Baxter in Psych. In addition to acting, Heath also directs, with some of his more recent projects including For Peter Pan On Her 70th Birthday, Nora: A Doll's House, and Marjorie Prime. Heath currently serves as Board President for BSP and Wood County Humane Society. In his professional life, Heath is Teaching Professor in the Honors College at BGSU. When he is not working (or treading the boards), he enjoys spending time with his husband of (almost) twenty-nine years, Gary, and their clowder of eight cats.
Monica Hiris (Mary)
It is always a delight for Monica to work with director Fran Martone, as a person or an animal (collaborating most recently as a Moor-hen in The Moors). Monica was most recently seen as Kitty in Perfect Arrangement and Glimmer in the Children's Theatre Workshop traveling show Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. In March, Monica's first one-act play, Hopeless in Ohio (loosely based on her dating experiences), premiered at The Toledo Rep's Toledo Voices showcase. In film, Monica has a supporting role in a local film still in production, tentatively named An Unusual Christmas and in the Michigan film So Fades the Light, premiering in June. Monica participates as an actor in Vital Talk at UT/MCO, a program helping doctors learn communications skills for serious illness.
