"Dorian (Marcus) was born and raised in Anniston, Ala. He holds a BFA in Acting from Alabama State University. He is a member of Delta Gamma Phi Theatre Fraternity Inc., Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. He is also the 2019 Broadway World, Best Actor In A Musical Winner for ""Pharus"" in Choir Boy. Previous roles include: Once On This Island (Daniel Beauxhomme), Crowns (Man), Richard III (Earl Rivers/ Stanley), The Color Purple (Harpo), Dreamgirls (C.C. Meagan Oliver (OSHA)
Meagan Oliver (Osha) is ecstatic to be performing with the BBRTC. Meagan received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Montevallo and has since been busy in the Birmingham region. Previous credits include: The Mountaintop, Clybourne Park, Significant Other, A Doll’s House: Part 2, The Wolves, Charlotte's Web and others. She would like to thank her family and friends for their continued love and support.
Ah'Mryah Amone (SHAUNTA IYUN)
Ah’Myrah Amone (formerly Rowin Amone) is a multidisciplinary artist who made her debut as the titular role of Ester Pappion in the critically acclaimed digital series, “Issa Rae Presents: King Ester,” which garnered her a Daytime Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Lead Actress.” Amone also stars as Mary Jones in the speculative fiction short films, “Salacia” (acquired by the Brooklyn Museum and MoMA) and “Mary of Ill Fame.” Other credits include Xenia Oya in The Kennedy Center Presents: The Adventures of Xenia Oya, Ashleigh in the “The Uncanny”, and the voice of Hart in “Dance Central VR” by Harmonix Music Systems.
TERRELL (MARCUS U/S) (Jaylon Coleman)
"Jaylon is a well-rounded high school senior at the Jefferson County Academy of Theater and Dance (JCATD). He is the current Chief Jr.Artistic Partner at Birmingham Black Repertory Theater Collective (BBRTC), the production stage manager of JCATD, and the co-founder/ president of the Shades Valley Student Union of Excellence (FKA ""Shades Valley's Black Student Union"") He aspires to be a creative director so that he can continue to make art for historically marginalized groups. He has a background in acting, stage management, debating, and writing. Some of his most memorable shows include The Wedding Singer (Assistant Stage Manager), Earnest and the Pale Moon (Chorus), BKLYN The Musical (Stage Manager), and Clue (Stage Manager). Alongside the arts, Jaylon is also very passionate about social justice. In 2022, he began working as a legal assistant at The Law Office of X.T. Nelson. Kendall Johnson (OGUN SIZE)
"Kendall most recently appeared in BBRT’s collaborative production of the Modern Green Book. Also, Kendall recently appeared in Red Mountain Theatre’s productions of Shrek and Once On This Island (Armand), Porgy and Bess (Sportin Life), The Holiday Spectacular, My Fair Lady (Harry) and a table reading of The Maid’s Door, and a staged reading of The Calling; the Story of U.W. Clemon. Other recent theatre credits include Terrific New Theatre Company’s, The Royale (Winston) in addition to Virginia Samford Theatre’s productions of Ain’t Misbehavin (Andre). Kendall is most thankful to God above for life and all opportunities to impact the lives of others in a positive manner."
Joelle Regal  (OBA)
"Joell Regal is a multi-hyphenate entrepreneur - recording artist, actress, and business owner - from Enon Ridge, located within the heart of Birmingham. Being a creative for over 10 years, Joell has been performing her original music at venues across the southeast and beyond. In addition to being featured in publications like Bham Now, BuzzMusic LA, and Voyage ATL Magazine, Joell has also shared stages with national recording artists like DeQn Sue and Claudia Hayden. Acting in both theater and film, from stage plays to independent film and commercial work for an array of brands and institutions, Joell has always had a passion for the arts. Her inextinguishable work ethic has helped her company, Royaltea LLC, become one of Birmingham's favorite brands. Royaltea is an all-natural, classic, southern sweet tea and lemonade that is now sold in two Piggly Wiggly locations (Clairmont and Berney Points). She would like to thank her family and friends for their constant support, and pushing her to continue to pursue her artistic and entrepreneurial dreams. Marva Douglas (ELEGUA)
Marva Douglas is an actor, model and writer. She has appeared in productions on the stages of the following local theatres: Birmingham Festival Theatre; Birmingham Summer Fest; Terrific New Theatre; Theatre Downtown; Aldridge Repertory Theatre and BBRTC. This is her second role in a play with BBRTC. In her first role was as Aunt Mama in Sugar in Our Wounds. Marva has also played roles locally in other stage productions including Back to the Dream; Miss Witherspoon, The Oldest Profession, Elegies for Angels Punks and Raging Queens, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide...., Trouble In Mind, A... My Name Is Alice The Amen Corner and more. She has appeared a few commercials and in two television episodic shows, American Gothic and Queen Sugar.
