The Prince of Egypt Creative

Director
Joseph EllisJoseph's first role in a musical was in college as Jesus in Godspell. He has since been on stage in Edmond, Tuttle, and Chickasha. He has also directed in Chickasha and is excited to bring this amazing story to the stage in the Prince of Egypt.

Music Director
Rachel EllisRachel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from SWOSU and has taught in homeschool, homeschool co-ops and churches. She has been involved in theatre since childhood. Most recently, she was featured in Godspell, our debut production at Beautiful City Productions. Recent credits include The Sound of Music (Frau Schmidt) at SNU, The Secret Garden (Lily), Seussical the Musical (Mayor’s Wife), and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Potiphar’s Wife) at Fourth St. Theatre, Into the Woods (Jack’s Mother), Godspell (as herself), The Wizard of Oz at Chickasha Community Theatre. Her roles at SWOSU include Agnes in Agnes of God. She has also been Music Director for Mary Poppins, Jr., Clue the Musical, and Into the Woods at Chickasha Community Theater.

Stage Manager
Spencer PeckSpencer Peck is the Stage Manager and Male Swing for "The Prince of Egypt" at Beautiful City Productions. His credits include "The Drowsy Chaperone," "Cats," "Godspell," and "Legally Blonde." Some of his favorite performing experiences include Hotep in "The Prince of Egypt," Andrew Bell in "Titanic," and Robertson Aye in "Mary Poppins Jr." He is majoring in Theatre and Theatre Design at UCO.

Choreographer
Alison SamsonAlison Samson is a dance teacher and choreographer from the Oklahoma City area. She’s been dancing since she was three years old and is currently studying Applied Exercise Science at Oklahoma State University. She also holds the title of Miss Asian OSU. This is her first time choreographing for a musical and she is excited for the opportunity to be a part of it.

Propmaster/Crew
Brooks BoltonBrooks Bolton is headed into 6th grade at FHS Christian School. He enjoys playing baseball, watching NASCAR, and relaxing at home. This is Brooks' second time serving as prop master, and he's excited to be behind the scenes once again! His first production was Godspell, and he's proud to help bring the stage to life with all the little details that make a big difference.

MUSIC AND LYRICS
Stephen SchwartzStephen wrote the music and lyrics for WICKED. In addition, Stephen Schwartz's scores for musical theatre include GODSPELL, PIPPIN, THE BAKER’S WIFE, and CHILDREN OF EDEN. For film, he wrote the songs for THE PRINCE OF EGYPT and collaborated with composer Alan Menken on the songs for Disney's POCAHONTAS, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME and ENCHANTED.
In the classical field, he wrote lyrics in collaboration with Leonard Bernstein for Bernstein’s MASS. Awards include three Academy Awards, four Grammy Awards, and a special Tony Award. In the United States, Mr. Schwartz has been inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame and has been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Book
Philip LaZebnikPHILIP LAZEBNIK has written numerous films, TV series and theatrical musicals in Los Angeles and Europe, but he is primarily known for his animated features, including Disney’s Pocahontas and Mulan, and DreamWorks’ Prince of Egypt, for which he wrote the screenplay and the book for the stage musical. Mr. LaZebnik also wrote the book for the stage musical Snow White and Me, which has been produced in Europe and has just recently had a workshop and its English language premiere at the Stephens College Theatre Conservatory in Columbia, Missouri. There is also an animated feature of Snow White and Me which is currently being produced.
