West Side Story Cast

DJ Ritumban is a beginning actor whose passion for the theater has ignited a career spanning from middle to high school. With a commitment to delivering captivating performances, DJ has taken the stage as a lead role in beloved productions like "Beauty and The Beast," "Mamma Mia," and “Little Mermaid” showcasing their versatility as a performer. DJ's dedication to the craft extends beyond the spotlight, evident in their tireless commitment to perfecting their art and embracing the challenges of each role they undertake.

Ryan is a senior at BHS and has been involved in Performing Arts since 6th grade. He has performed in every single show at BHS since The Wizard of Oz in 2019, his favorite production to date. Some of his favorite roles include Willard in Footloose, Gaston in Beauty and The Beast, Sam in Mamma Mia, and most recently Eric in The Little Mermaid. Ryan is always grateful for the opportunity and friends he’s been given in Performing Arts and will continue to cherish his memories in his last year in high school.

Cheyenne is glad to be back for her sixth production at Beaumont High School in the role of Maria. You may have seen her in last year's production of Mamma Mia! as Sophie Sheridan. After high school she plans to continue growing as a performer in a college theatre arts program. Telling a story and making her audience feel something is a driving force in what motivates Cheyenne to improve and continue with a career in theatre. She is ecstatic to reach such a big community once again with West Side Story.

Sylvia Dominguez is a Senior at Beaumont high school. She has been in past productions such as The Wizard of Oz, Footloose, Annie, and many more. She has had so much fun putting together these scenes with some of her closest friends and is sad that this is her final show here. After high school, Sylvia is going to join the U.S. Coast Guard to become an Aviation Survival Technician (Helicopter Rescue Swimmer) and later wants to study in hopes to become a Criminal Psychologist. She thanks you all for coming and hopes you enjoy the show!

Matthew is a freshman at Beaumont High School and this is his first time acting in a theater production. He may have just started his passion for theater but is very excited to be taking on his current and possibly future roles! Matthew gives his praise and thanks to God, his family, his friends and his amazing girlfriend/Bella Palomeque Merlos who got him into theater and who has been with him every step of the way (Psalm 118:1). He is so grateful to have the chance to be part of something so amazing and hopes you enjoy the show we have worked so hard on!

Ethan Fonseca is an aspiring actor who hopes to make a living out of his passion. Ethan has been part of Beaumont High School Theater Arts since 2018 being in shows such as Elf jr (Macey kid), Wizard of Oz (Nikko), Annie (Rooster), Footloose (Lyle), Beauty and the Beast (Prince Adam), Mamma MIa (Sky), and even in this year district show as Scuttle in The Little Mermaid. Besides doing shows at Beaumont High School, Ethan also does shows at Riverside community college such as Frozen jr, and Grease. Ethan plans to get his BFTA after high school. He hopes you love West Side Story as much as he loves to perform for all of you!

This is Jaylen Chamablis-Jaja who plays the role of Bernardo in this production of West Side Story, you may have seen him play the character Jetsam during the Production of The Little Mermaid. Jaylen has continued to demonstrate how much of a dedicated actor he aims to become, improving his vocal and dancing abilities to his fullest potential. He has claimed that he may consider acting as a career in the future mainly aiming to be in filmed productions.

Aurihs Hernandez is a Senior here at Beaumont High School and has been involved in our theatre program for six years. Her previous roles include an Eel in The Little Mermaid, the Baker in Beauty and the Beast, Officer Jen in Footloose, Cecile in Annie, etc. She is thrilled to be finishing out her High School theatre career playing Anita and would like to thank her friends and family for all of their support.

Amaree Thomas is excited to be captivating audiences in Beaumont High School's production of West Side Story. With an lengthy background in theatre, Amaree has previously graced the stage in productions such as The Wizard of Oz, Elf the Musical, Footloose, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia and The Little Mermaid. Beyond her passion for theatre, Amaree has set her sights on a promising future. After high school, she plans to pursue a major in psychology, a minor in musical theatre. Keep an eye on this rising star as she continues to shine both on stage and in her academic pursuits.

Kenji Abucejo, a student at Beaumont High School, immerses himself in the role of Chino in West Side Story, showcasing his passion for the performing arts. With dreams of a career in acting, Kenji's dedication shines through as he hones his craft on stage. With a vision set on pursuing performing arts and theatre, Kenji will work hard to bring roles to life.

Taking a huge leap from moving sets on the stage of The Little Mermaid, Ian Jacob Viray now plays the former gentlemen now fueled by hatred, Chino, in Beaumont High School’s production of West Side Story! Now exploring acting, he hopes to acquire any job in the film industry, which still includes animating, but also acting, cinematography, and writing. He is proud to have an important role from his first ever audition, and gives glory to God for this chance. He hopes to spread joy and entertainment through this character, and, hopefully, his future occupation.

Max Woods appears as Doc in West Side Story. previously in The Little Mermaid as house manager, he now takes the stage, excited to start performing for audiences like you.

Riley Behney is a freshman at Beaumont High and is excited to be portraying Shrank in West Side Story. Previously she performed as Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid. In the past she performed as characters such as Ursula in The Little Mermaid Jr and the Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance Jr. Riley's dream is to pursue a career in the sciences, looking forward to accomplishing her bachelor degree in mortuary sciences. Riley thanks everyone in the audience for coming to see her and everyone else in the production!

Nick Lord has performed in three previous shows. Past roles include a sailor, chef and seagull in The Little Mermaid, dance ensemble in Mamma Mia and Gaston’s Crony in Beauty and the Beast. Nick was scared to join theater at first but it ended up being the best decision he made now he is excited to do every show. After he graduates he plans to go to RCC and continue his theatre career.

Elena Gebhard has previously performed as a Seagull and Chef in The Little Mermaid and as Flotsam in The Little Mermaid Jr. After high school, rather than continue to pursue acting, they hope to work as a sfx makeup artist, doing the gore and injuries for stage and screen alike. They have had quite the enjoyable experience being in Beaumont High School's productions so far and are glad to be a part of them.

Marlowe Ugapo is Action in West Side Story. This is her fourth high school production. She was the head of hair and makeup in Footloose, she played a mother in Beauty and the Beast and did the Beast’s special effects makeup, and she did Ursula’s special effects makeup in The Little Mermaid. This is her first time having a speaking role in a production. After high school she plans on attending Crafton Hills College Fire Academy to become a firefighter. She also plans on receiving her beauty credentials to become a licensed makeup and hair artist.

Joseph Santistevan (Action) has played many roles in Beaumont’s Productions including; Louis Howie in Annie 2021, Bickle in Footloose 2022, ensemble in Beauty and the Beast 2022, dancer in Mamma Mia 2023, Eel in Little Mermaid 2023, but by far Action is his favorite. To him, the best part of theatre is dancing and meeting new people. Outside of theatre he loves to play basketball and volleyball. Joseph’s future plans are to continue doing Beaumont’s Productions next school year and to continue the arts as he progresses into college.

Jordan Crabtree is a Junior at Beaumont High School, but has been involved in the theatre program since Fiddler on the Roof when she was in third grade. You may have also seen her in other productions here at BHS including Young Cosette in Les Miserables, Urleen in Footloose, a Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast, Ensemble in Mamma Mia or Atina in Little Mermaid.

Leo Lomeli (Baby John) is making his BHS musical debut in “West Side Story”. Leo is a freshman at BHS and hopes to attend USC to pursue a career in film. Leo has a talent for art, and one of his major accomplishments was becoming MC for his 8th grade promotion. Leo is very grateful to his family and friends for their love and support. Leo would like to thank everyone who supports his dreams and to those involved in “West Side Story”, making this a rewarding experience for him.

Mackenzie Leonard, appearing on stage as Baby John, has now been in six Beaumont High School productions including The Wizard of Oz as the munchkin coroner, Beauty and the Beast as a spoon and villager, Footloose as a band member and ensemble, and Mamma Mia as vocal ensemble. She is most well known for her participation in Annie as the lead role, Annie, and plans on continuing to take part in the musicals at Beaumont High.

Natalee Toon is excited for everyone to see West Side Story. In West Side Story Natalee is playing the Snowboy. This show has been fun and a really joyful experience and she is super exciting for you guys to see the show.

Kaylee Crabtree (Big Deal) has been loyal to BHS theatre throughout 10 productions, and you may recognize her from her most recent performance as Alana in The Little Mermaid. In her years she has developed a passion for the fine arts and plans to continue performing as long as she can, with hopes of assisting and participating in shows across her community.

Kevin is freshman at BHS. In his first musical play as Diesel in "West Side Story." Known for his energy and strong stage presence, Kevin brings depth and charisma to the role of Diesel, one of the Jets. Taking on this role as challenged him in acting, singing, and dancing make him a standout in the production, and his performance adds nuance to the ensemble. Keep an eye on Kevin as he establishes himself as a talent to watch in musical theater.

Bailey Burdette (in the role of Gee-tar) has been doing theater for all 3 years of middle school. Her various roles include ensemble in Beauty and The Beast, Mamma Mia, and The Little Mermaid, just to name a few. Bailey also has done choir and has 2 years of dance experience. She plans to continue with theater in high school, and possibly in college. This is Bailey’s favorite show she’s ever done and she sincerely hopes you enjoy the performance.

After a brief hiatus from acting, Al Bacon is back as one of two double-casted Anybodys! Having performed in smaller parts such as Lt. Ward (Annie) and Principal Clarke (Footloose), Anybodys is Al’s biggest role to date. After seeing a performance of West Side Story at Riverside City College in 2019, Al immediately fell in love with the character Anybodys, and performing that role is a dream come true!

Ashlyn Jones is a senior in her second year in theater at Beaumont High school. Her first role was Ali in Mamma Mia, she performed as an Eel and Chef Louis understudy in The Little Mermaid and now for her final show she's excited to be in West Side Story. She plans to pursue theater in college to earn her BFA degree along with double majoring in math and minor in American Sign Language.

Megan Ghostine (Mouthpiece) is enthusiastic to be able to join Beaumont High School’s production of West Side Story. You may have seen her as Ensemble in The Little Mermaid.

Bryleigh is a Sophomore at Beaumont High School and is excited to be part of West Side Story. Besides theatre, Bryleigh was a gymnast for 12 years. She'd like to thank her family and friends for their support.

Anabel Trefren is currently a senior in her 7th year of performances with BHS. You may have seen her as Lily in Annie, Wendy Jo in Footloose, Tanya in Mamma Mia and Adella in The Little Mermaid . Anabel has a love for the stage, and intends to minor in Acting after high school.

Bree is a senior at BHS and is excited to be dancing as Velma. She was most recently in The Little Mermaid as Ariel, Mamma Mia as Sophie, and The Wizard of Oz as Dorothy. Bree plans to study musical theatre at a university in New York. Being apart of theater since 2nd grade has made this last production very bittersweet but she can’t wait to move onto more challenges in the future. I want to thank Pam Bernard, my parents and the Hauschilds for pushing me to where I am today.

Annika is a Junior at Beaumont High and has been involved in Beaumont Theatre since Annie in 2021. West Side Story is her 6th show at Beaumont High and her 8th overall. Her favorite roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Frenchy in Grease. After high school, she plans to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre. One of her biggest dreams is to make it to the Tony's one day. She really enjoys working with the rest of the cast and hopes you enjoy the show!

Lily Healey has been preforming in the theatre for six years. She began in the fifth grade in The Music Man. Since then, she has been thrilled to appear as many different roles such as Bobby Sue in Footloose, Girls Chorus in The Wizard of Oz, Silly Girl in The Beauty and the Beast and Arista in The Little Mermaid.

Michee is currently a junior at Beaumont High School and has been in the theater productions since her freshman year. Michee fell in love with the art during quarantine when she took acting classes online. In the future, Michee plans on working on her singing & acting and is also a cheerleader here at Beaumont High.

Athena Amell is a sophomore at Beaumont High School. She was previously in the program’s productions of Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid, and plans to be in many more in the future. She plans on going to RCC and majoring in Theater.

Alyssa Gibson has loved performing since the 5th grade. She has previously been Ensemble in Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia and The Little Mermaid. She is planning on attending cosmetology school after high school and planning on doing theatre on the side. Alyssa Gibson loves performing and hopes you enjoy the show!

Anara Shaver is in her first year of theatre at Beaumont High School and is proud to be in her second production this year, West Side Story. She performs in her school choir at Mt.View Middle School. Anara wishes to continue doing theatre and performing at Beaumont High School for the years to come.

Savannah Mora is 14 years old and has been in 6 shows with the Beaumont High School Theatre production program. One of her favorite plays that she’s done is MAMMA MIA where she was a part of the vocal ensemble. She plans to be in many shows in the future

This is Stephanie Morales' second role on the BHS Stage. However, she has been performing since the minute she was able to speak. She loves singing, dancing, and songwriting. She hopes this will be the first of many roles. Stephanie aspires to go to school to become a songwriter in the future and inspire others with autism to follow their dreams.

Zelda Lessmueller is a 6th grader at Mountain View Middle School and is very excited to be in Beaumont High School’s production of West Side Story. Previous roles include an Enchanted Object in Beauty and the Beast and a Maid in The Little Mermaid. Zelda has a passion for action and voice acting, is a member of the Mountain View marching band, and wants to become a film director. She is very excited for her plans and in the future and continues to improve them every single day. And hopes to be very successful in theatre.

Kaitlyn Sum plays as a Jet Ensemble in West Side Story. They are a student at Beaumont High School who works to strengthen their passion towards musical theatre. Their first performance on stage is on West Side Story, prior to such they had no official training. After graduating high school, Kaitlyn hopes to attend CSUSB for a BA in Psychology and a BA in Sociology to learn more about human behavior and effect.

You may have seen Taylor Krantz as an ensemble in Annie, Footloose, Mamma Mia, and West Side Story. As a future job, she plans on doing more acting and theater related things due to her dream job of being an actress.

Elijah is in 8th grade at San Gorgonio Middle School. His favorite production was The Wizard of Oz where he played a flying monkey, previously you would have seen him as Flounder in The Little Mermaid. He's very excited for West Side Story and hopes you enjoy the show!

This is Ian's 5th play in high school and his first play In this school and is happy have a role in this show

Maiden Moody is currently a junior here at Beaumont Senior High School, she’s done theater for 2 years and loves performing on stage. Having transferred here at the end of her sophomore year she’s thankful for the opportunities and friendships the theater program has provided for her and she’s exited for any future productions she gets to be apart of.

Ricky Salazar ( shark member Anxious). This is his 4th show and first on stage show, he has done Beauty and the Beast, and Mamma Mia, and the little mermaid. He has worked with stage props, ropes/ backdrops, and also lighting. This is his first year being on stage and has handled it well. He hopes to continue being on stage, and gain bigger roles while pursuing theatre.

Olive Hernandez is 13 and in 7th grade. She is very ecstatic to have her first named role in West Side Story. You may have seen her in last year's fall musical The Little Mermaid as a Sailor! She loves her community and the theater experience.

Valeria Renteria is currently a junior in Beaumont High School and plays Juano for West Side Story. She has always loved watching theatrical plays and when she watched Mamma Mia she instantly knew she wanted to be a part of the school's theatre program. When she was a freshman she took theatre as a class in the school and learned many wonderful things about it. Valeria has always loved music and dancing. In middle school she was a part of her school orchestra and plays the violin, she also loves cheerleading and is currently an artistic roller figure skater for almost 4 years now and won 2nd place last year in regionals. She also loves to sing and takes online classes in singing. She plans on becoming an interior designer and architect in the future after high school.

Aly Sanchez is a Junior at Beaumont High School. This is her first year back in public school after being homeschooled for seven years. This is her second show in the BHS Theatre, having previously performed in The Little Mermaid. Before BHS, she was in Shrek the Musical and Cinderella the Musical for Temecula Performing Arts Company. Though theatre is one of her many hobbies, along with guitar, piano, violin bass, ukulele and a bit of banjo, she plans to pursue her dream of going to a UC to major in Animal Science, becoming a veterinarian and owning her own practice.

Aiden Penman is a sophomore here at Beaumont High. He has been in Beaumont Theatre for 7 years and plans to major in either forensics, theater arts, or become a veterinarian. He has high hopes after high school and wants to help anyone he can when he's older.

Zharia Spikes is excited to be playing Rosalia. She was previously in Beaumont High's production of The Little Mermaid and Mamma Mia and is a member of the school's dance ensemble. Zharia Enjoys dancing and singing in all theatrical plays, She hopes to graduate and go to University of Southern California and earn a Masters Degree in Anesthesiology and Medicine.

Adelina (Rosalia), goes on to take her final bow in West Side Story. You may have seen Adelina as dance snesemble in Grease (RCC), dance ensemble in Mamma Mia! (BHS), show chorus/dance ensemble in Frozen Jr. (RCC), or Jessica in the 9 Worst Breakups of All Time (BHS). She plans on majoring in musical theatre at RCC after graduation, starting this fall and is beyond ecstatic to embark on this new chapter of growth for her passion of performing.

Sherlyn Vera is a Junior at Beaumont High School. Her favorite musical is The Shrek the Musical. She can play multiple different instruments like piano, guitar, and violin. She has been doing theater for 3 years and has been in various different shows. Such as Footloose, Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia and The Little Mermaid. In the future Sherlyn hopes to be an actress.

Eden Vásquez is delighted to make her debut on the Beaumont High School stage! You may have seen her work as the costume head for the BHS production of The Little Mermaid in 2023. She’ll continue to perform at Beaumont High for the next few years, and in the future, she plans to pursue a career in applied psychology.

You may have seen Hazel Sonteya as Aquata in The Little Mermaid or Ensemble in Mamma Mia! Now she’s excited to be in Beaumont High's production of West Side Story. In her future she plans to take a step out of theatre and wants to go into a Military Branch. Her dream job is Forensic Psychology, even if it’s not in theatre she thinks that this production and theatre’s a great place to grow as a person. She loves helping around in the theatre program.

This is Amerie's second production. You may have seen her previously in The Little Mermaid. She has an extreme love for all things music. Since she was a little girl, she has loved to sing to herself and to her family. She’s putting her stage fright to the side, and is excited for more theatre opportunities coming her way. She hopes for the best!

Meet Doris, a sophomore in high school with an unwavering passion for performing arts. Ever since she was little she always wanting to be on the big stage, seeing people up there acting and showing so much emotion as their character gave her inspiration to go and become a actress of her own. Now performing at Beaumont High School as Francisca in West Side Story. Her firm commitment to her craft is matched only by kindness and support for her peers. With dreams of a future in the spotlight, Doris is ready to make a lasting impact on the world of performing arts.

Bella is a freshman at BHS this is her second musical she has been in The Little Mermaid as a Princess and now she’s doing West Side Story as Estella! ! Bella’s future is to go Pace University or RCC and start her Musical Theater career from there. She would like to Thank her Family & Friends for supporting her all these years from doing Choir to Theater. She hopes you enjoy the show that they've been working hard for!

Amateur author and playwright Rylee Hernandez is excited to be working with the cast of West Side Story. You may have seen her in this fall’s production of The Little Mermaid, as a princess and a maid. She’s continued to focus on creating performances for others to enjoy, such as Head Over Heels, which was written and directed by herself in 2022. Rylee is pursuing a few years of acting to gain experience on and off stage, and she plans to attend University of Redlands after graduating high school to continue her work for the world to enjoy.

This Is Alexander Santiago Perez's First role and show. He is happy to participate and be part of this cast. He likes being part of his Drama class and is a member of Golf team. In the future he plans to go to university.

Kamea Rodrigues (Margarita) continues to participate in the wonderful shows at Beaumont High School. West Side Story will be her 5th show here at Beaumont High school. She has past roles of Lulu in the 2021 production of Footloose, Townspeople in Beauty and the Beast, ensemble in Mamma Mia, and Carlotta in the little mermaid. She doesn’t have a favorite role that she has played yet but her favorite show that she participated in was the 2022 production of Mamma Mia because of how fun the show was and the environment that the show brought. She has won a past award for Best cameo performance for her role as Lulu in Footloose. She also can't wait to see the future shows at BHS!

A familiar face to Beaumont High School’s Theatre department, Julia Nunez has once again made an appearance on stage! But this time as her fiery character Margarita. Some of her previous roles here include a Seagull in The Little Mermaid, Sausage Curl Girl in Beauty and the Beast, and Ensemble in Mamma Mia. She plans to pursue a degree in Education at the University of Redlands after high school.

Jalyssa “Ezra” Pierce continues to confidently walk the stage at Beaumont High School. In her previous years, she made an appearance as Mabel in The Highland Academy Charter School’s production Pirates of Penzance Jr. Vocal Ensemble in Beaumont High School’s Mamma Mia, and Ursula in Beaumont High School’s The Little Mermaid. She is currently planning to pursue a degree in Psychology at UC Riverside after high school.

Sophia Oschman has been doing theater for almost two years, previous roles including a chef and seagull in The Little Mermaid, a Spoon in Beauty and the Beast and Ensemble in Mamma Mia. Sophia has also been in choir for 2 years. She has also won 2 participation awards for her appearances in Beaumont High School’s Beauty and the Beast and Mamma Mia. Sophia is a proud thespian and would like to pursue acting as a career one day.

Imani Sanchez is a freshman at Beaumont High School, and is performing her first show as Shark Ensemble, in West Side Story. Imani is no stranger to fine arts, and enjoys photography, painting, baking, and of course theater. She thanks her brother for pushing her to go after acting, and the world of theater. She plans on attending Michigan State University to further pursue acting and her education.

Jade is a 12 year old 7th grader who is thrilled to be a part of her second show ever at BHS. She started out as a chef and seagull in The Little Mermaid and plans to be in many more as the years come. In her free time, she loves to bake, crochet, and watch tv. Although she doesn’t know which college she wants to go to, she plans on going to school for nursing or performing arts. She looks forward to highschool and what is to come after that. She is very grateful to be a part of this show and hopes you enjoy it!

Juantone Gabriel Castill is excited to be in Beaumont High School’s production of West Side Story! His previous roles include Ensemble in The Little Mermaid and Mamma Mia. Juantone has a passion for singing and songwriting and theatre has helped him develop them both. He plans to attend the Boston Conservatory in Brooklyn to study music and songwriting.

Damiean is excited to be participating in his first show at Beaumont High School "West Side Story." He'd like to thank his friends and family for their support!

Alex Ponce is a Beaumont High School student who is excited to be participating in "West Side Story" as an actor having previously participated in Theatre as a member of Tech in "The Little Mermaid." He hopes you enjoy the show.

Rachel has played as Snow White in A Fairytale Christmas Carol, Merry Men in Robin Hood And The Wedding of Doom, a cop in Pirates of Penzance Jr, and Ensemble in The Little Mermaid Jr. Rachel has been in Theatre productions since Kindergarten, so she is experienced in acting. Rachel plans to pursue a career in Veterinarian work for house pets after many years of Medical school. Rachel is proud to have come this far and participate in the production of West Side Story.
