Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is transported to modern-day New York City as two young, idealistic lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the "American" Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time.

Beaumont High School Theatre Arts was established in 2012 and flourished under the Direction of Karen Hauschild and Pam Bernard through 2023.  They've received many awards including the Lucy Arnaz awards for best choreography and vocal solo. Sarah Gray, Danny West and Pam Bernard have been continuing on the traditions and direction of Beaumont High Theatre Arts and look forward to growing this incredible theatrical education based program for the years to come.
